Confession Session - LOCK THIS THREAD

Actually Foxy has a point. I have a relative who takes meds, and over the years it's only led to taking more and more and more meds. Are you guys unaware of the corruption that exist in the Pharmaceutical industry?
my grandfather used to be on a diet of heavy medication to help with all the issues stemmed from epilepsy and being wheelchair bound from polio. But after going private he found a doctor that reduced it to one pill a day and has been doing fine ever since, and this is someone in his late eighties.
The fact is if the drugs are having a negative effect then you need a second opinion and to hassle the doctor for alternative meds.
Either way I've never seen a negative experience that has outweighed the extended health and life given by drugs themselves. As for this conspiracy stuff with pharmaceutical companies…..
....yeah I'm not wasting a second on even humouring that.

yeah, threatening to smash them in with a steel bat is much easier.

Will good for you grand dad. He did things the right way. More meds is never the solution. Moderate meds + a healthy diet and lifestyle is key.
As far you calling corruption within an industry a conspiracy… well... I suppose that's why companies can continue to get away with things. That's a shame. Anytime someone calls something a conspiracy I don't even bother to convince them otherwise. This is why I don't vote anymore

On a side note: This confession Session has derailed so badly
**Wait are you serious? This whole time…I thought the Pharmaceutical business was on our side? But..they're a corporation that wants to make money too? Oh the humanity!
That's it, from now on, I'm going to just drop taking any medication and urge everyone else to do the same. That'll teach the pharmaceutical industry. We'll show them how long we can last without medication. I'm going to march into all the hospitals, retirement homes, and mental institutes and demand they discontinue the distribution of medication! That'll show them. Hurrah!**

How was your induction into the Aryan Brotherhood?
I know you would like to have a homogenous society, but I don't think skin heads get very far in life.

The irony in this post is simply outstanding.
Have you considered maybe your relative's condition has deteriorated/changed during the process of taking medication? People age, conditions worsen/improve/whatever, who says they really didn't need more medication to ameliorate the situation? The smart thing would have been to get a second opinion rather than deem the situation as a potential corporate conspiracy.

You're the one who mentioned a conspiracy, 1PceXperience never did. And I feel bad for you if you think there's no such thing as corporate corruption.

The meds my relative uses counters against the other meds he takes. For instance he takes a blood thinner and over the years he must take a medicine that helps as a supplement for this artificial tampering of his blood. He doesn't eat fruits nor barely any vegetables. He doesn't like them. Instead he relies only on meds.
My point is, meds alone aren't the solution. People must incorporate other things such as nutrition and exercise as well.
Also I don't care much for sarcasm when adults are trying to have a mature conversation. You can take all of that to Twitter and Facebook
-
@Foxy:
How was your induction into the Aryan Brotherhood?
the black guy next to me is laughing.
I know you would like to have a homogenous society, but I don't think skin heads get very far in life.
seriously how do you even exist?
If you can legitimately quote me asking for some kind of solid segregation in England, one race policies or anything that can be construed as being remotely close to racial or anti-cultural then FairPlay. But the truth is you won't, and just carry on a toxic spew of irrational fantasies.
My biggest issues as I've stated hundreds of times, is the lack of integration, the heavy immigration causing segregation and the negative sides spawned from that. You can't flood a country with record high levels of people if you don't have the work, the housing or money to prop it up. That isn't racist….it's common sense. But hey if you want to try shooting it down be my guest.
-
How about all of you shut up already
-
the black guy next to me is laughing.
seriously how do you even exist? And why do you flame people? Keep your snide remarks to yourself instead of starting fights on the Internet, chief.

Okay THIS response is much better. I wish you mentioned this earlier because this makes complete sense. The whole corruption in the pharmaceutical industry is a moot point. Better lifestyle = Better health. And the fact that one refrains from living out a healthy lifestyle is the individual's problem. Relying strictly on medication to compensate for a poor lifestyle is a poor idea. However, that does not coincide at all with what Foxy said about completely dropping ALL medication because they ALWAYS lead to problems (which is in itself idiotic). What you said makes sense. What Foxy said…doesn't and is potentially dangerous.

flame people? Ha.
If you post something stupid then expect to get called out on it. I don't need to swear, or threaten or bully you. I only need to point out the obvious flaw in your posts with logic and facts. That isn't flaming, that's debating a subject on a forum which is designed to do just that.
But hell if you want some more truth, your post is full of hypocrisy. Within only a few posts you've branded someone an Arian racist, while threatening to beat another with a steel bat…..Nice job foxy.

Do you take everything literally? Because that stupidity needs to be addressed.
I've already won the argument, all you did was prove that you're a peasant.

But you're a "Peasant". What does a peasant know about arguments and discourses? Psshhh…leave it to the noblemen and lords here.

Technically, yes. But not really.
I believe in debating. I love arguing. Out of intellectual interest. That is why I asked Foxy to elaborate his view earlier. I don't believe that people should avoid debate and agree to disagree just to keep harmony. But I don't believe in the benefit of nonconstructive personal attacks in debates either. At worst I will attack the view, but not the person who holds it. I am not exactly the most constructive person, but, in a sense, I think that the goal of debate should not be merely to defend one's position and crush the opponent, but to find out the truth, the answer, the solution together. Come, let us reason together. This debate is actually already over, it is not even intellectually challenging. What is left are personal attacks from both sides. Personally I don't find enjoyment in personal attacks, and I only find a debate exciting to the extent that it is intellectually challenging and helpful. If anyone can point out my flaws for me, I would gladly change my point of view. Most of the attacks I see here are certainly not meant to help each other improve. I know it can be very satisfying to cleverly insult your opponent. But perhaps we can do better than that. Perhaps we can be calmer and try to see the good side in each other and sympathize with each other. As flawed and exaggerated as Foxy's opinion is, he was trying to be helpful to Davy Jones. Merely calling him an awful poster won't help him become a better person, and it won't help us either. Personal attacks can bring the worst out of both sides, and damage whatever benefit there could have been. It is harder to be kind than clever. Everyone has their flaws, moral or intellectual, and perhaps we can direct our criticism in a more constructive, rational manner.
Just my two cents. I hope I am not coming off as a pretentious, snotty-nosed preacher. All the best.

why the hell do you even care. Is this so imbedded into your life you can't just pass over a post you aren't interested in.

Calling for second opinions from other doctors is good.
Saying there's nothing wrong with ignoring doctor's orders is still retarded though fyi. -

I was only commending OPM's post. Not only for the shit that was thrown around beforehand, but for the future of those that choose to do this agian. But yeah. Sigh of relief. Whatever the heck that is.

Looks like you guys have chilled out already for the most part, but let's end this tangent from this threads' topic, or I'll end it myself. It's gotten personal which isn't helpful to anyone.

Man that was certainly a thing

^ Honestly, I was more creeped out about 1:34

This opening creeped me out. Because of the 1:31 mark.
LOL, I never noticed that. Why would the animators do this?
-
I'm sure someone in the studio had weird fan-fic of Luffy, Krieg, and Arlong being buddies, so he decided to put his vision into fruition. Hence, we got a .3 second image of them doing a dance together. Eh it is not nearly as odd as 1:34
-
I like strong women. (Though… I still feel the urge to protect them for some reason or another, even though one of my friends is a strong woman, and, I'm pretty sure she could kick my ass). Having such a mind makes me feel like a...pig.
-
Shit, I need a strong woman to protect me.
Shit.
-
Balls, I need a strong woman to protect me, too.
Balls.
-
Nah, but in all seriousness… You should try to work towards stepping outside of that mentality. As noble as you might find it to be, it may end up doing more harm than good someday. The idea that a female needs to be protected, regardless of her capabilities or individuality, is definitely an act of disrespect.
I know I wouldn't want someone underestimating me based on any single attribute I have despite knowing my capabilities and past actions.
-
I know. They're… Just so cute!
-
Possibly irrelevant to what you guys are talking about, but I personally think that the desire to protect a woman is different from the belief that she needs to be protected. The first isn't necessarily a bad thing to me. And the latter might depend on what kind of environment/culture you're in.
That's all.~
-

Thanks, trapped. I don't think it's necessarily sexist. I mean, yes, obviously, some women are strong, but biologically speaking, men are generally physically stronger than women, and I don't see anything wrong or sexist about that, because it's plainly the truth. Women have advantages in other things. There's also that whole deal with men using one side of the brain more while women use the opposite. forgot which one was which. Psychology class was a year ago and I don't remember a lot, lol.
Probably gonna get massively flamed for this one, tho.

The former really isn't a bad thing at all (and if the woman thinks it IS a bad thing, they are reading TOO deep into a man's behavior.) Not all guys have the same motivation behind the desire for protecting a woman. For the more terrible men, it could be a materialist objective (like a pimp and a whore for example) while, in the opposite spectrum, it could be a generally cultural/chivalry/courtesy based objective (i.e. helping a girl carry her bags up the stairs or something). It really all depends on your motivations for performing the action. The fact that a man "protects a woman" is not an adequate indicator for it being necessarily a good or bad thing.
If a woman is assisted by a man (a stranger or distant friend) and she is offended by it, then there might be something wrong with the woman instead. Since she does not have a clear idea of why the man assisted her, she is at fault for reinforcing the idea that the man is obligated to help her due to being "helpless". However, the man could be clearly doing this out of good will or cultural upbringing (it is not a clear answer since she is not familiar with the man). There is nothing wrong with the act of a man helping a woman, but the motivations behind it are the tricky part.
-

I'm going to take a wild guess and say most of the people on the forum this isn't very true of lol.

I don't buy it because I would be a literal fertility goddess she-spirit drenched in pink if that was a real thing. As I'm pretty sure it's the right brain that's "female" heavy right? Yeah, I continue to exist as a man soooo
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
No seriously can someone explain what it's even remotely like to HAVE a left brain?

We've been down this road too many times in this topic and others. The conclusion that is always reached after pages of bloody battle and at least one person getting badly spanked, is that you should carry those bags for anyone, regardless of sex/gender, if you are to carry them for anyone at all.
-

Yeah… I'd carry the bags for anyone.
But, if I had to chose between a male or female, who, are struggling with their bags at the same time, I'd choose the woman first (and maybe tell the guy I'll be back to help).
-
I'd get new, stronger friends and tell them to carry their own shit.
