Having his story in such a control to being able to make a specific event on a specific chapter is rly a nice addition in my eyes.
You mentioned that Usopps story on Loguetown was taken away for chapter 100.
That sure wasnt perfect and removing something from the story is always a big NO-GO, here iam with you. But when it appears that you have to ADD something to your story to see on a specific chapter a specific event its a goodie in my eyes.
Like for example introducing all the SN in one chapter was actually an add-on to the normal story(because Odas editor said he should add more action) and to have Rayleigh still on 500 he gave us this freaking superchapter.(even when its not sure that Rayleigh was planned to have here his introduction) Sure could be argued that Oda could have done the introduction in two chapters for the SN and stuff but in the end it feels right now after a bit time and that is all that counts when we will read the whole story after its finished.Edit: Also other good storys don

I don't see what the supernova being introducced in one chapter bring to the plot, if else there should have been hints of their existence all around the vollage, the skypea knowing what a pirate was from urouge, Kidd's pirates going in a rampage on Jaja and we getting only a hint of a strong crew, A marine name-drop of Drake, crazy rumors about Law's skills as a doctor. Not "here's a bunch of strong pirates that you never knew about".

The only thing I think should be done for milestone chapters like 50, 100, etc are maybe colorspreads. I don't need anything super special happening.
And I liked this chapter. I often like these sort of chapters more than action filled ones.

But i didnt mean a superfreaking huge event to happen in those chapters..more something that at least makes us drop our jaw. Something like the beginning of the WAR! and recruting a new members doesnt have to happen on those chapters..just something that makes us remember that chapter for a while.Try Lone Wolf and Cub, Jojo, Ippo, etc.
Name some manga that celebrate after every 100 chapters.OP stands out in nearly everything related to mangas..just look at the 10th anniversity celebrating on Shonen Jump.

Looks like tyheir escape isn't gonna go as smoothly as hoped. Luffy's meeting with Sentoumaru part 2 is destined to happen. Or maybe Luffy will pwn the 2 psycho brothers…and then they'l;; turn up and he'll have to fight the Marines...

Well in my opinion Oda planned to do something special for chapter 100 and for 500 at least something noticeable(introducing Rayleigh)
That Oda doesn`t care for every 00-chapter makes this chapter clear and iam okay with that..just hoped for more,nothing that rly bothers me to the core afterall.
About the SN:
I already said that he introduced them quickly into the story because his editor wanted to have more action, (Greg posted somewhere that interview,but dont know anymore which one it was) so their wasnt rly an alternative for Oda to show us before hints of those pirates.
He makes them now importnat for the story by adding more and more to their chara..like Bonney having a past with the marines..Law also acting out of a reason etc.
So they will become more imprtant for the plot with the ongoing story. -

Don't know how strong the brothers are, but so far it seems at least part of their high bounty is that they're crazy and kill lots of no-name marines. Not exactly an accomplishment, Zoro did that starved half to death years ago.

I love the insanity of the chapter, particularly some of Franky's new modifications and Luffy "in a mustache" randomly with the Fake SHs. But hey, at least the journey can start soon...after we clean up whatever mess is at Sabaody.

This chapter was great.
I laughed so much, Brook's got awesome and his concert must be animated like right now. Chopper transformations are, like Ussop said, bigger, so he must be a bit stronger now. Franky has many surprises aswell.
The fake crew doesn't look so fodder with all those pirates, and those brothers are really sinister (well, the blood one).
And the cucumber is in the chapter. The freaking cucumber.

Anyone think that Caribou might have some form of Haki? The way the panel is drawn where he is interacting with the Marine makes it seem like he 'knows' the Marine is holding the pistol behind his back…maybe its just me.....

Franky's hair is back. Awesome. Chopper's also cool with his new BIG reindeer mode. And after all Chopper did notice that Robin's smell is weird. And Luffy's fake moustache looks fabulous.
Can't wait to see Usopp's signature move. It'll be something awesome, believe me.

I was really impressed with brookes speech. absolutely loved it. Loved the zoro and sanji banter. and choppers new form. just a great chapter overall
