One Piece, JJBA and Deadman Wonderland belong in the highest tiers.
Without question.
Tiers of manga.

Holy shit this is still going on?
Well, technically, Rocco gave up here, unless it was just sarcasm.
Hmm. Taking everything into consideration, bleach is starting to look like shit in comparison to One Piece. The trueness of the statement that OP is better than Bleach only cements itself with the spoilers of the latest chapter.
I concede guys. The sheer amount of effort in this next chapter of OP outshines the trudging pace that bleach is moving along at. Oda-sensei wears his heart on his ink pen where Kubo just passes week to week.
Now he's just babbling on about nothing.

Yeah, that's just it. I haven't been saying anything. Everything I've posted has just been a response to someone else's thoughts/issues/complaints/sarcasm. I've taken my oath of silence. There's nothing much to be said anymore.

If the other website is in Vietnamese, try Mangatraders.
This was very helpful. Much appreciated.

This is what happens when you say bleach is on the same level as one piece. Some people tend to take this quite bad.
-
I think it would be nice if some people who made tier lists almost a year ago would make new, updated ones, and I'd like Choperman to make a tier list since I want to know what manga he's read and what he ranks highest and lowest.

How much better is One Piece than Bleach?
A unit of measurement that immensly large has not yet be created by modern man.
Quoted for Truth.

Oh God Yes! Someone got the reference of my username, I'm glad to see someone else who watched some of Oz, it's kind of an obscure show, which is a shame since it's very good.
Said was a very good character, I don't know if he was one of my favorites since I liked so many. I know most people's favorite characters were Adebisi and Ryan, who were definitely great characters. I also liked Omar and Cyril.
And Hill, Beecher, Schillinger and many others.
McManus and Warden Glynn were good characters who weren't inmates and Burr Redding was just plain badass.

Well, it was only six months ago, but I think mine could be updated. I have reread a few series, and some of my ratings have changed a little bit. I have also added a couple of new series, which are highlighted in red. Urasawa's series aren't as appealing when read a second time.

The Ravages of Time (manhua)

Maybe obscure nowadays, but that was my favorite show back when it aired.

It was about time I found some Oz fans here. One of my favourite shows ever without a doubt.
-
I recommend Oz to anyone who doesn't have a problem with the adult content. Even then, I don't think the violence or language will be a problem for people on this forum. I think it's more the nudity and rape (which is mostly male) that turns some people off. But it's fitting as it's a prison show.
But even if you do have a problem with that it's still worth watching because the story and characters are extremely top notch.
I'd like to know if there is an Oz thread in the other media forum, probably not and I think there should be.

Anyway I'll try my hand at this. As of October 2011 this is my tier list:
This is more or less how I'd rank them.
Epic: One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, Negima, Hunter x Hunter, Nausicaa, Berserk, Vagabond
Awesome: Toriko, Beelzebub, Claymore, Soul Eater, Shingeki no Kyojin, Eyeshield 21, GinTama, Vinland Saga
Decent: Dragon Ball, Bakuman, Death Note, Akira Yu Yu Hakusho, Zatch Bell, Rurouni Kenshin,
Meh: D. Gray-man, Ao no Exorcist, MAR, Naruto
Crap: Bleach, Fairy Tail, Gantz -

Anyway I'll try my hand at this.
Awesome: One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, Berserk
Very Good: Soul Eater, Yu Yu Hakusho, Toriko, Bakuman
Decent: Naruto, D. Gray Man, MAR
Crap: Fairy Tail, BleachI'm still reading Negima, Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, Rurouni Kenshin and a few others. Negima looks like it will be Awesome tier, Hunter x Hunter looks like it'll be Very Good tier, Rurouni Kenshin and Death Note I'm hoping will be Very Good tier but they might slip down to Decent Tier. More likely Death Note because I know most people didn't like Near.
I shouldn't have to explain myself on Naruto but I will. I hate Part 2 of Naruto just as most people on this forum do but I really liked Part 1 and that sort of makes up for Part 2. Enough to make it decent at least. I don't think, as a whole, Naruto is one of the worst manga ever but its definitely not one of the best.
My opinion on a poster has never detonated to such extreme heights over the course of a few posts before.

Oh yes, this. OZ is just excellent. It also has some of my favorite actors like J.K.simmons and Harrold Perrineau.
Don't know what this has to do with manga though

I feel the word you were looking for was "skyrocketed" or "erupted". Bombs fall down and detonate, while rockets soar up and explode.
Nonetheless, I agree with your statement. We need more people like Kareem on this forum.

I like you too, Steve (Yugioh Abridged reference in case you were one of 4 people who haven't watched that).
BTW I've recently become interested in a show I watched when I was rather young called Code Lyoko and I was searching the forum and noticed you liked that show. I've been rewatching some episodes and I still find it enjoyable. I was just glad to know that a senior poster liked the series. What exactly did you like about the series?
-
What I liked most about Lyoko was the cast. The machinations of Xana brought together a few kids who otherwise wouldn't have interacted at all in their boarding school, and they not only learned to work together, but became friends or a bit more. The growing romantic relationship between Ulrich/Yumi and Jeremy/Aelita was especially entertaining to watch - it was gradual, and rough at times due to rivalries, but otherwise believable. Jeremy and Aelita had great chemistry, and it was fun to watch Jeremy just get more attracted to her and Aelita learning what attraction was through her time spent with him.
The action was good enough to balance out the character aspects, and it was especially good when both intertwined. It's not the most visually accomplished show, but it was a strong addition to Cartoon Network's action block way back when. I never really understood why some people didn't like it, given what else was on that same block (Puffy Ami Yumi, anyone?).

First Tier [God Tier]: Nausicaa, Lone Wolf and Cub, Vagabond, Blade of Immortal.

This is correct.

Not quite. FMA and HXH deserve better then to be put next to Yu Yu Hakusho and Kenshin.
-
YYH > HxH :getlost:
-
-
YYH > HxH :getlost:
Yu Yu Hakusho is extremely overrated. It's very very very very mediocre, composed mostly of Dragonball ripoffs and gets by almost entirely on it's awkward Togashi charm.
Everything good about it Hunter X Hunter does one thousand times better.
-
If YYH does anything better then HxH it is that Yusuke is a much better main protagonist then Gon. Otherwise I agree. YYH gets points for nostalgia.
-
I remember there was this brief time when American audiences embraced YYH as a more sophisticated shonen, that was better for "experts" above "shlock" like Dragonball.
Like this shit.
http://www.animetric.com/Review/Anime-Reviews/Yu-Yu-Hakusho.html?counter=1Looking back at this is completely hilarious. It's like the world embracing Family Guy as superior to 90's Simpsons or something.
-
We all know if yyh had extended on the demon world or if the anime was like the manga it would surpass hxh
-
Fuck that, that's also a shitty review.
How old was the writer?
-
We all know if yyh had extended on the demon world or if the anime was like the manga it would surpass hxh
Still no.
Seriously, someone tell me what was so much better about YYH than HxH. Try naming a single thing that YYH did better than HxH.
And no update schedule jokes.

No it wouldn't have.

Yu-Gi-Oh, Vampire KnightDamn right Berserk is amazing! Finally caught up with the current chapter. The manga is bloody awesome and so is the main character. At first I didn't like Guts because he seemed like a total bastard, but once you get to know his history and as the story progresses you see him gradually change. There are so many emotions he goes through, he can be kind, sad, terrifying and downright badass at the same time. A character you feel some emotional attachment to as you can feel the struggle he has with himself and the world around him. How his perseverance is the key to his survival and also can be his downfall at times. I'm not trying to make this a pissing contest and they have different motives, but there is a big gap between Zoro and my favourite one-eyed swordsman.

Hiei and Kurama are truly terrible terrible characters.

@JERK:
Hiei and Kurama are truly terrible terrible characters.
Hiei wasn't that bad, but Kurama was pretty one-dimensional
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but
Wasn't Kurama a fully finished character by the time he entered the scene? Like, if you can even call him fully finished since he was so minute, but in terms of arcing
Everything I remember about him was that he went full-circle in development like before he even showed up, according to his flashbacks
And the rest of the series he was just
… Him
There
I don't remember anything about Hiei apart from his blandness
The YYH cast kind of sucked as far as "team mates" and buddies went. They felt really uh... lacking in team mating and buddying.
-
Hiei was worse. Kurama at least had that mom backstory.
Hiei had absolutely no personality, he was a complete cardboard cutout of "badass" in every sense.
-

This was true! Well same with Hiei unless you actually accept the completely thrown out of nowhere motivations of finding a lost sister and killing some dude.
Both him and Kurama were absolutely boring to watch do anything, there was never ANY sense of threat since every damned single thing never made them so much as emit an emotion.
-

Hiei and Kurama are truly terrible terrible characters.
At least they weren't gay for each other like gon and killua.
