I miss… my whole childhood? I miss getting up at 6am to watch pokemans, digimans, dragon ball z mans, yugioh mans and all. I miss my beyblade collection that was thrown in the junk by my mom. And much more, like spending the whole fucking day playing and joking around with kids and playing on those shit old gameboys. We had red, blue and yellow.
I miss…. *insert childhood memory*

I was talking about toys.
Those were the first merchandise from each franchise.

Digimon is a rip-off born from the popularity of Pokemon.
No, it's a Tamagochi ripoff. (It really is) Thinking about it, they both kinda are. You know like Fairy Tail and One Piece are both inspired by Dragonball. They just added the fighting to the fostering of virtual pets. I have to admit that I stoped a recent rewatch attempt in order not to destroy good childhood memories about Digimon. Davis is so annoying… but the first two seasons still where some of the better shounen of that time. I remember being disappointed when the old story was discontinued with season 3.
-
oh i also remember i didnt understand the digimon movie
was it because i didnt watch enough digimon or cause the movie sucked?
-
Probably both. But they're both understandable.
-
Digimon is crap.
-
Bla bla bla tell us what you miss not what you don't miss!

I miss being carefree and not having adult responsibilities.

Beelzemon OWNS Blackwargraymon
-
Blackwargreymon was the boring thing about the earlier seasons to me. Most of the time he was running around on some dragsome journey to find himself.
-
Digimon was cool to begin with, but it wasn't quite monster rancher. Beyblade had some cool episodes too but the villains got a little bit predictable, including the outcome.
-
yeah !
just like beelzemon on the 4°
but who cares ?
he had guns and a motorcycle -

I could be wrong but is it not the one that was cobbled together from like three movies ?

Well it did fight everyone and everything that crossed it's path in the process.

How much I loved this series and I'm totally missing it :(
And posting the German Opening, because it owns. -

Monster Rancher was nice , but it willied out by not wanting to kill the enemies and instead turned them good.
Ya know , like the second season of Digimon :getlost:

I miss my aunt, my grandfathers and living out in the middle of nowhere in upstate NY.

entering the thread for the first time.
i miss the carefree days of school, those 'crazy bones' things, my playstation 1, my pokemon yellow, bernard matthew's turkey twizzlers, and a few other things.
-
I miss waking up at 6 in the morning, running to the TV and watching all of awesome kids shows.
Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblade and all of those were just great. -
I miss when after school I would rush home to watch Toonami. When cartoon network was way better.
-
pokemon, yugioh, and beyblade all hold such memories for me that i still have the merchandise for all 3.
i have a whole tub of pokemon figurines in the attic, along with a beystadium and 30+ beyblades with lots of spare parts.
most of my yugioh cards are up there too, but i still keep my main deck in my bedroom just in case a duelling opportunity will EVER arise. i haven't lost yet.
The theme of my deck is "fantasy".
It has lots of dragons and spellcasters, with a few beasts and the perfectly ultimate great moth thrown in for good measure. -

Ya know , like the second season of Digimon :getlost:
Erm, if memory serves, didnt that second villain of season one, the vampire guy, return as Mello-whatever his name wasmon as the main villain of season 2 and then just died because the kids basically used a care bear beam on him? That made me so damn angry, it was the stupidest thing ever. hahaha
Anyhow, that guy died, he didn't turn good did he?Digimon was pretty awesome (season one, at least) and the movie of it I watched was fantastic. At the beginning of the movie there was this really scary looking digimon that hacked all the nuclear launch platforms and tried to destroy the world with nukes. He was also way too strong to beat, but then one of the guys spammed him with e-mails making him slower and weaker, brilliant. Oh and his death animation was awesome too, I think he melted, wich looked pretty cool. The rest of the movie is just a memory of a memory now, but I remember that that memory is great too. I should go watch that movie again sometime, I'm sure I'll still like it.
The one thing I really, really miss was a game called Shogo. It was an amazing first/third person shooter in wich some levels you could pilot a huge mecha and destroy everything. It also had a beautiful Japanse intro song. The atmposphere of the game was great too. I still remember there was one point in the game where an enemy calls you a motherloving butt monkey, that always made me laugh so much. However, these are all bad memories, I never got to finish it. Now I can't play it anymore because my computer can't play it (I think I need windows 95). To never have finished this game might just be the greatest (if not only) regret in my life.
Here's the intro: C-j94S-br9E
Damnit.. watching this makes me sad. So much nostalgia… nostalgia full of regret. A 9 year old boy inside me wants to finish this game so badly, if I ever somehow could finish it i'd be so happy.
Besides Shogo I don't miss anything that much. The only thing particularly great about my childhood were video games and I still have those (sans Shogo siiigh)
I'm glad I'm an adult now, though I hope i'll never lose my inner child. -
Point was that throughout most of the series the new kids were extreme pussies about killing their enemies and Yolei (the girl with the glasses prey much had a crying fit when they had to kill Lady Devimon , who tried to kill them .

I miss all the free time.
-
When technology wasn't heavily relied on, and my life was full of adventures. But now I hardly ride bikes, go to parks or fields, and enjoy actual nature.
I also miss my grandmother… And her house, it was old and worn down, but it was so fun. It was in a really village-ey place, and there weren't any rules. I played with firecrackers and mini fireworks, caught fireflies at night, and sailed paper boats in the rivers.
Those were the days...
-
I miss Cheez TV, proper anime shows on cartoon network, old friends, my lost cuteness, simplicity of youth
-
I miss when Nintendo64s were popular in schools and I especially miss Toonami.
Yes, I miss the very same combination. More so earlier Nintendo consoles like NES & SNES.. On Toonami I really miss that cheesy/badly animated 'ReBoot' show.. Was quite fond of it then, G-Force too.
