The first review is rotten.
Ok, again, since I don't blindly hate the movie I will say, let's wait until a good number of reviews are in. The movie was never gonna get a perfect score no matter what. It was GOING to have at least some Rotten reviews, so the fact that one or two of the negative ones managed to be first out of the pack doesn't really prove anything.
Man… the more I think about it, the more I realize I DO really WANT this movie to be good... I just wish it LOOKED good...
I know I haven't. Stop motion kind of isn't my thing and kind of killed The Lego Movie for me.
gasps faints
We have just about 90 mins as of the time of this post till the review Embargo officially ends and reviews should come flooding in.
Less than 30 mins left until the embargo lifts.
Final predictions for RT scores?
I'm gonna say it'll be higher than MoS because a well-liked writer (Chris Terrio) rewrote the original script and there's going to be a lot of hype-based reviews. But it's also said to be similar to MoS so the people who hated that will hate this one too.
I'm gonna say 65-75% on RT. Similar to AoU that also got inital positive reviews based on Whedon and hype, but fell apart on closer analysis.
I'm gonna say lower and go 50-60%.
If this movie gets anything lower than a 60 I'm putting forehead to desk. And anythig around a 60 is still 'meh' but I'll gladly take it lol.
We all know that BvS is the best CBM of all time. People cant handle that and will downplay it. Yes, people are that lame.
I'll go with 45%- 55%
Four reviews in, all negative so far.

You say without having even seen it.
Blind fanboyism at its finest.

Yes and Twilight is the best romance story…....

7 reviews in and only one positive... Hmmm....
11 reviews, 10 of them rotten.
Ouch. It's possible all the negative reviews are coming in first, but that does not bode well.
If i am understanding this correctly almost everyone seems to agree or at least seems to ignore or not talk about Superman's character which is rather laughable in a movie that was supposed to be focused more on his character then Batman or other big name characters.
"This film has turned all of its great characters into perfunctory plot points, in the service of a plot that doesn't even work well." So i am guessing that Zack really didn't learn anything from Man of Steel's mistakes.
This pretty much sums up my reaction to reviews so far.
I'm trying to avoid reading these reviews to remain unbiased but god is it hard, 10 negative and only 1 positive? And from what I've galnced, he's making THE SAME MISTAKES. GODDAMMIT!
Well it's Zack so really him not learning shouldn't really come as a surprise since he is just style and no real substance.
I've never seen such a high blockbuster that was so anticipated get so annihilated. Even F4nt4st1c was unwanted (and made for third of that budget and had its production problems out in the open). Snyder had full support from the studio, an enormous mega budget and before the Hitfix report there was constant talk about how much WB loved the movie.
! You're not brave. Men are brave. You say you want to help people, but you can't experience their pain…their mortality. It's time you learned what it means to be a man!
Don't know if this is the real dialogue or if it was lost or something but somehow this dialogue sounds extremely silly. And if the acting is just like the trailers trying-to-hard-to-be-serious then this might actually become a "so bad it's good" moment.
I'm at a loss for words right now. I think I'm feeling a mixture of disappointment and impending dread with a side of hope? I know I'm still going to see it but damn these reviews are making it look bad. I don't even think MoS came out the gate so negatively…and it wound up with more positive reviews!
Welp, there's still a couple hundred more reviews to go I believe so we'll see where it ends at.
20 Reviews, 5 Fresh, 15 Rotten…
I just looked at all the "Fresh" Reviews, and none of them appears to be glowing. They're all more like "Eh, it's passable"
Committed but dead on the inside. I still take my amusement where I can, watching it all tumbling down.

I noticed that too:
Those expecting BvS to be DC's answer to Marvel's Avengers will find it more akin to Snyder's Watchmen instead.
There are moments that make the whole enterprise worthwhile, and introduces an intriguing new Batman. But it's also cluttered and narratively wonky; a few jokes wouldn't have gone amiss, either.
It's epic, involving, exciting, and ambitious, but there's an undeniable feeling that the best is yet to come.
Now at 10 positive, 17 negative. That's a bit better! But the average rating is low, so its not a case where everyone is giving 6/10 and its narrowly skirting the edge of rotten. And most of the positives are more "it was watchable special effects" and less "it was great!"
Its just the start but that's significantly worse than I was actually expecting.
Yea positive reviews seems to focus on the surface stuff not the other stuff that really matters or at least to me.
Also i just gotta mention that those "fan" reviews on twitter doesn't seem to match with what critics are saying whether positive or negative. Not that i took them seriously but just something i found funny. Maybe Warner Bro paid them to say something nice before the eventual negative review come out.
it's at 41% now, so only 15% more to go and it'll be at MoS level.
The average rating is a little better: 5.3. Of course I never understand how RT calculates that since a lot of reviews don't actually give a final grade.
Some people are saying the CGI was too much while others are saying it made the movie that much better. Others are just happy the trinity are in the same film together. Positive reviews mainly deal with how epic in scope it is.
No mention of Doomsday and some mentions of Lex being annoying.
…well, 41% right now ain't as bad as it was before.
It seems Heart of Darkness might win lol
Man, I was at least being cautiously optomistic but everything I've read EVEN the positive ones makes the movie seem like a big mess
Look at this review
And what of the title's promised skirmish? That face-off between two comics legends becomes but one in a series of big things bashing into other big things, which is what Snyder and writers Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer mistake for storytelling.
UGHHHHH THIS IS GONNNA SUCCCKKKK
Some reviews accuse it of having too litle storytelling like the one you just posted, while some others complain it has too much storytelling and not enough action.
It's probably one of those messes where it has a lot of things happeneing but incoherently put together so it feels like it's saying nothing at all.
Bu….. but it talks about BEING A MAN! That gotta count for something, right? Right?....
Zack Snyder basically ruined "dark" superhero movies forever.
Zack Snyder basically ruined "dark" superhero movies forever.
Dammit, I was waiting for a Kingdom Come movie to do that.
16 fresh, 23 rotten. ABout the same ratio as earlier, not the horrific disaster it was in the first hour or so… but still super divided and no one is in love with it.
But, this is also the sort of thing that should be critic proof, so it's still going to make 800 million minimum... though with the reviews being this rough maybe closer to 700 mill might be a better bet?
Be hilarious if R rated Deadpool beats it out... (currently at 620 mill, closing in on MoS's 680) and I'm almost certain Avengers 3... I mean, Cap 3, will.

F4nt4stic hasn't done that yet?

A lot of the positive reviews aren't that positive either. If you counted them as meh, it's way worse.

Nobody watched F4nt4st1c. Not even me and I defended it pre-release.

Deadpool is at 731 million right now, so it already handily beat MoS. It's only 11 million away from being the highest grossing R-rated movie ever. It also passed GotG domestically this weekend.
But I think BvS will still easily pass 1 billion.
BvS is 9.2 on imdb …. with someone claiming it to be the best superhero movie of all time....... Hahahaha wow i knew the action would cause massive blind fanboy reviews but even then this is fucking hilarious.
Yeah, this probably won't pass 50-55%.
Never got hyped for this anyway. Just another attempt at cashing in on the Dark Knight Trilogy.
I'm still excited to see it!
40%, that's worse than MoS! Though I do feel this will be at least better than MoS and the lower score is due to oversaturation backlash.

Fixed .
Critically speaking, it's actually doing worse than the Daredevil movie.
That's funny and disappointing at the same time.
@TLC:

I don't believe in the "oversaturation" backlash. It's brought up every time a superhero movie is getting (or looks like it's getting like Ant-Man's early reviews) poor reviews, but in the end the amount of superhero movies getting low scores is miniscule. I mean, AoU is the definition of a been there, done that superhero movie and was creaking from all sides narratively and it still got stellar reviews.
It's one of those popular excuses, along with "critics are too pretentious to appreciate a fun-frolicking movie/too lazy to appreciate a deep introspective superhero deconstruction" that is brought up so often.
Goddamn, it's actually decreasing.
39% now.
The majority of the reviews should be in no later than Friday. Whatever it has by then should stick. I'd honestly be really surprised if it doesn't do better than MoS.

I'm sorry, I should have used clearer words. I agree with you. What I meant is the terribleness of the previous movie and how people have had time to let it and all its flaws simmer in their heads and how Snyder repeated all his mistakes make them less forgiving opposed to the original. Kinda like how TF4 was a bad movie but it was better than the sheer garbage of TF3 but it still was rated worse purely due to backlash. Though given how apparently the RT score is DECREASING, it might be genuinely worse…
