Hahaha. Well, to be fair they don't have an anime to help spread its release, so to have a big enough oomph they gotta get people's attention so they'd want to find out what the news was. Seems like a safer route than relying on the re-runs.

Last issue - though "died" isn't really the word to use, it just ended. Had nothing to do with popularity.
But yeah, shame about some of these series - Yotsuya was great, Neko Wappa was quite decent, and Shonen Shikku was a far better sports manga than that Kuroku shit.

I don't realy get why Jump would even mind TOC's being provided in advance . Realy it's nothing big and may as well rile up the fans of a failing series (though that is mostly a theoretical possibility) .

One Piece is on chapter 598, Naruto is on chapter 508, Bleach: 418, Reborn: 304. It's nearly impossible for the likes of Oumagadoki to get a lot of fans when they are confronted to all those long-running mangas.

I think it is more possible when a manga is published in a magazine with those.
I mean if I'd buy the Shounen Jump just for One Piece I at least whould read new manga to look if they are good or not.
If this is a good manga they will get attracted by the fans of the big long-running series.
