That was rather sappy and corny, but the kind of sappyness that I've come to expect from Fairy Tail, so it wasn't that bothersome. I will never be surprised at the lengths anime/manga characters will go to cockblock themselves, especially in such a silly and transparent way (''I'm wallowing in despair…and also getting married next week!'').

Um, apart from that, Happy being a troll always manages to get at least a chuckle out of me, and well, this wasn't really that bad of a chapter I thought. Whaddaya know?

Don't tell me Meredy's developed some kind of emotion-sharing fetish.

Wow, actually reading through the posts I'm quite surprised so many of you liked this chapter. I absolutely fucking hated it.

First let's talk about fatso. Apparently Mashima thinks it's worthwhile to have a character in the guild who's so pathetic he still pines after a little girl now that's he aged 7 years and she hasn't aged at all, and does nothing but binge.

Then there's the training. How much more cliche does it get than "suffer a lot to become really strong really fast!"? It would be tolerable if it were executed uniquely and creatively but nope, it's just them rolling on the floor and wailing. I get that the spirit world thing was supposed to be a humorous curveball, but I would have been happier if the guild trained up the legit way--you know, for a nice change from CONSTANT hax.

Finally, that GODAWFUL romance. I wanted to fucking puke. If you're going to do romance, you've got to go it slow, this is some fanfic level instant forgiveness oh I hate you but that means I want to bone you bullshit.

I loved this chapter
So much tension and we finally got a resolution/cockblock to the Erza/gerard romance.
Not sure why everyone was writhing all over the ground but Erza is taking the pain like a champ.

Happy being a troll is nothing new though hes always going on about who likes who that who'll heartbreak in the sand thing was nice.

But the major asspull power up was established last chapter. It was a power that wrenched out your true potential and it was going to be really painful. Everything about that training was expected this chapter, and last chapter took most of the heat for the method. I thought it was kind of funny how everyone looked at Natsu's suffering and had second thoughts about going through with it themselves, or questioned is it really THAT painful?

The romance…yeah, I'm not a fan but I'm not an anti-fan either. I just don't care either way about it so which ever way it goes, whatever. That's why I thought the chapter was alright.

Nothing bothersome, but nothing that stuck out either. Except Happy's jerkassery~

Lol…This chapter was actually fun. Flashback to all the times we shared~ smooch Oh wait I have a fiance? lmao. Mood killer. Kinda all endearing. Although this chapter felt really short. I actually have no major complaints for this chapter. Jellal is weird though, glad he got called out.

This felt like a chapter of Love Hina with mages. I don't mind romance, or character development, but 4 pages for an almost-kiss is a bit much.

Eh, pretty meh chapter. Still wondering why 26 year old Jellal is completely the same as 19 year old jellal though.

Chapter all in all was fine, but compared to the way Jellal x Erza is usually portrayed it was awesome.
Also, kudos to Mashima for NOT ending the kissing scene in the classical Hollywood comedy way. I was so expecting for Natsu to pop up anytime and interrupt their lips meeting, but instead Jellal did it himself.
Happy was really funny, though actually a bit too evil at the end.

One thing typical of Fairy Tail, however, was that they had to show some naked skin for Arc of Time to work. And of course Juvia, who was already bare-bellied, had to take her pants off. And why did Wendy get topless with Gray in the same room? Oh well…

I actually first realize this now, as we don't have any gender-specific words in Danish for fiancé/fiancée like in English, so I initially read Jellal's line as "I got a person I'm engaged with".
So… Jellal is going to be married with a guy? Bad mistake, Mangastream, since many Fairy Tail haters seem to think it's the funniest thing ever to call bishonen characters in Fairy Tail gays.
