I get that feeling too, but I try to repress it since more than likely Sabo will end up dead. I hope not though. While I'm talking about unfulfillable fantasies, it brings me to the next point: I’m really missing Ace after this chapter. The moment I think I’ve gotten over his death he pulls off some awesome haki tricks. He wasn’t even that big part of the story in the beginning but it was cool to know that he was running around in the story. But now I really miss fire-fist. I'm hoping he pulls a Kira Yamato.

I think it's definitely the King. And I'm even inclined to support the theories that it's Abalo Pizarro. He's missing the crazy moustache, but the beard and hair look to me like they match… it'd make a great twist, and would explain Pizarro's relevance.

I would assume Sabo would become strong, being closely associated with Ace and Luffy. Why wouldn't he of even tried to come see Ace (I guess we don't know that for sure, but he never mentioned it to Luffy) or to save him? I think he's dead.

My predictions:
- everyone (including Ace and Luffy) thinks Sabo dies from some event/attack, but he is actually taken as a slave by the World Nobles
- Sabo thinks Ace and Luffy are dead, so no reason to escape, etc.
- Sabo will join SH with dream of finding "what is freedom?" and "where does freedom lie?" (aka: SH finding one piece / luffy becoming pirate king). Role=custodian. Strength=Mid-Tier (below monster trio) since he has potential, but unable to train since child-hood

And, once again, Sabos destiny change!! This week he has two chances, he is superdead or he is a tenryuubito slave. If Oda keep ongoing with this game, next week We will be thinking Sabo is a tenryuubito, and in two weeks we will be sure he is a revolutionary, then again he will have to die.

I gotta admit that I had my doubts when this flashback began but now it is really cool and reveals some interesting things.About the Sabo is dying/living issue:
I do like Sabo a lot and I hope that he will survive and come across in main timeline though I can't see that happen. The revolutionaries are gone so he sets sail alone.
Since he will "meet" the Tenryubito next chapter (most likely) I think he will die there. Don't want him to be captured and live as a slave (though he could take part in current timeline that way).
But I'd rather want to see him die as a free person - even if it is just a short time he was free and felt this way (he looks like he is very happy when he sets sail) - than ending up as a slave.
He suffered enough.
Be free or die free. No slave. -
i just reread chapter 574; i really don't think sabo will die. ace stated in that chapter that, "if it weren't for the sabo thing… i probably wouldn't have wanted to keep living." if sabo did die, why would that make ace want to keep living?

Obviously showed at the end of the chapter, Sabo is in deep trouble. Will he get hurt? Probably. Will he die? Probably not. Will he become a slave? Probably not. In all likelyhood, his ship will be blown up and he'll fall into the water. The Tenryuubito, ship's crew, and the Goa nobles will think he's dead. But he'll survive.

meh, ace already had a tragic childhood… so what'd be the purpose of adding more tragedy to his life? wouldn't sabo's death by the hands of the tenryuubito depress ace even further? don't see how that'd make ace think life is worth living. in fact, i think that'd mess up his views on life and the world even more.

And I can't think of a worse fate for Sabo than him becoming a slave… Death would be a much better fate.
He is just been freed from the slavery that his bloodline and his parents have put him under since his birth, and now he would become a slave under some even more filth noble?? A fucking dirty tenryuubito?? This would be a just too horrible life that this kid had...
I hope the idea of putting this development in the story doesn't even cross Oda's mind...

Remember, this is Luffy's flashback as well. Sabo's potential death would be a perfect way to establish a greater bond between Ace and Luffy.

Given Ace's "never back down" attitude and a little brother that obviously needs him very much, I'd say it's really the only option in his case.

Are we truly 100 % sure that it was Ace who used the haki? I read it as Dadan used haki, and then jumped in to save them. I may be wrong though…

Luffy didn´t know about the Tenryuubito until Sabaody. If Sabo dies in the flashback and the upcoming Tenryuubito has ANYTHING to do with it, he would remember that.
