I like moe anime and I'm planning to get Windows 7 soon. But this commercial is giving me mixed feelings.
Though I still think this is a good marketing strategy from Microsoft Japan.

I don't like the whole naive girl with a short skirt to make nerds drool till the next bluescreen. I don't like them in animes and i don't like that commercial. If you want to buy windows 7 read the features on the microsoft website read what the computer magazines tests tell you about it and buy it.
Not because of moe (or how they name that thing…)
…It's an operating system.
People will upgrade when they buy a new computer or have a program that can't run on their old operating system. Or are currently running Vista and want something that isn't so terrible.
No seriously that girl blushing and waving her short skirt is going to boost the sales. What a world we live in.
It sounds stupid.
Windows 7 is a godawful trainwreck, so hopefully, it'll take more than that for people to shell out cash. Though on the flipside, from adverts, people may get high expectations, I know I did. What the adverts don't mention are the facts that you can't even arrange files manually anymore ! Amongst other things.
Windows 7 is a Vista that works.
Indeed. Some things are still regressions from XP, but DX11 is vista/7 only, so I do find myself using it quite a bit.

Why's that? Personally, I haven't had much experience with it yet, but it's a decent OS from what I was able to see so far. It supports most of the applications I use on XP, it's not a resource hog like Vista and games still run rather smooth. From what I was told, its overall security is far superior as well. I don't see why you would call it a "godawful trainwreck". And you should know, eventually people will start using it more and most people won't even remember XP. I'm not saying Windows 7 will stick out until the end, Microsoft will probably come up with something even better, but hey, who knows.

Well, why not clicking View > Untick Autoarrange then?

Ignorance is bliss.
Do you even have Windows 7? There isn't even such an option.
You can't manually arrange your files, there are numerous other issues also.
We've been regressing since XP in many small ways.

Yeah, more people will start using it, and it will become standard. But XP was by far the best. Vista had many plusses,
but was missing the rather important point of being able to play GIFs and there were a few other small problems, etc.
Windows 7 has been hyped up so much. I can't even manually arrange my files. I stick a file into a folder and it's
bundled away off never to be found again. Inside Folders the "drag n drop" function has been disabled. Still no GIF capability also.
It's great for playing games yes. But I use my Vista Laptop now a lot more than I ever use my brand new computer, which is Windows 7.
You can't manually arrange files?
That's it, I'm finally going Linux.
I hate anime.
…..............
Windows 7 has given me so many dead crashes already, which XP and vista never did, it's like they regressed back to windows 98.
LOL bunshin you managed to make yourself look like even more of a weaboo weird ass Western game hating troll. Moe anime? Srsly?
Congrats, I thought it was impossible.

Funny thing, Vista gave me nothing but crashes and pain while 7 has been relatively bug free.

Will it be your first time using linux? Prepare yourself for a shock and a radical change of how to use an os

So what, manga is non-existent now?
i guess. i don't understand how someone can like manga and hate anime though? I get liking one over the other, but they're intertwined.
captain inoverherheadatalltimes
uuugh fucking
awful
almost everything wrong with anime in one short promo video what an accomplishment
No.
But this sold me 0.03 seconds after I first saw it.
And Greg wins again…
I want to make sweet love to that burger thou… o.o holy shit
I had almost forgotten about the Windows 7 Whopper.
Greg, did you ever get the chance to indulge in one of those magical artery-stoppers?
No.
But this sold me 0.03 seconds after I first saw it.

Hell yeah, I would so eat that.
Though I'd like to try Double Down from KFC.
Nope. Sadly I wasn't anywhere near Tokyo when it came out.
My heart thanks me.

It's not that hard to understand.
I and a friend of mine love manga but hate anime too. The movement is so unnatural, the art is annoying, the story is stretched, the fillers are bullshits.
Most of the time, watching anime is a pain to me. They look so stupid, childish, horrible.
And particularly that girl's voice is so annoying.
However, I like AMVs.
And not that all anime are horrible. I like some seinen anime. Most of anime are fucked up for economic reasons.
this is why i haven't tried it. not sure i can handle the awesomeness
If you're happy with windows and don't have the time to read tons of documentation then it's probably not for you.
Mangas are better than animes cause your mind is involved to fill the blanks. Anime? That's junk served to "entertain" the masses week after week with mediocre work.
If all anime are animated like this:

or:
Strucci is the only one who got me.
watches as droogs stumble over eachother arguing who Strucci is
@JERK:
Strucci is the only one who got me.

LOL, don't pop in and say something mysterious.
I always found Strucci to be a strange one, haven't you?
@JERK:
Strucci is the only one who got me.
watches as droogs stumble over eachother arguing who Strucci is
seriously I was going to come in and make a reply along the lines of "oh my God you people have no idea what he said do you you're too busy arguing over irrelevant nonsense aren't you I realize why I left this place in the first place oh God I remember I REMEMBER" but then I figured I'd just watch and leave it up to my pal JERK DISEASE
@The:
I always found Strucci to be a strange one, haven't you?
i always found strucci to be a strange one, havent you?????
¿¿??
you ripped taboo off word for word
what is there to spoil
@bunshindattebayo:

Don't, I ate it so you wouldn't have to.

Because not many people know Taboo said that. Never explain the joke.
He just wanted to point out he knew who Strucci was.
droogs stumble over eachother arguing about Strucci
Here's the deal.
Since the latter half of 1998 many if not most 'anime' are exactly the same thing over and over.
Sure, there may be gems mixed in the massive shit mounds, but walk into a video store blindfolded and pull something off the shelf 9 times our of 10 you'll find yourself with something they wouldn't force war criminals to watch.
Within that 10% of the 'worthy' material you find, some of it is going to be far too pretentious for its own good despite actually looking nice and presenting original ideas, OR it's part of some ridiculously long series based on a comic where the source might be interesting but the series has been either drawn out too long for its own good OR cancelled before it could go anywhere interesting.
Thus is the state of anime today.
Oh, and since they started using computers 99.9% of it looks like shit anyway.
Anime was good.
Anime can be good.
But manga is the most reliable source.
And if that wasn't enough to convince anyone, Robin's voice actress.
(OOOOOOOooooooOOOOOH!)
Most of it right now is creepy.
not you guys, too
Run while you can. But stick around the LOST thread.
