Err… there was still over 1,000 posts to be made in the last one. If you wanted to make v.4 I definitely would have let you, Red. You didn't need to jump the gun to "beat me", not like I own the collectibles thread or something.

I don't think it was about "beating" per se. It's more of the necessity to change the first post in a timely basis.
Also, v.1 was stopped short way before it it 500 pages, though I don't know what the rules were back then. I wanted to go…TO THE MOON! (aka thread page limit)

IMO this topic wasn't necessary, I liked the first topic it shouldn't have ended now, nor in 100 more pages, every forum has a search function right? You can find just about anything in ONE topic, if you have to search trough 3-199 topics you won't find anything ever.
A closed "news topic" would have been much better… Still is.

The "Recently added collectibles" section. Will that be changed each time there's a new announcement? Like, if this were yesterday, would your 2011 WCF list have been there instead? If so, that's a great help. Like, READ THAT SECTION FIRST, then join the discussion. And if we aren't talking about it (like now), shouldn't be too hard to figure out what we are talking about.

Yeah up to 5 or something like that. I will delete the oldest then. Same with news thats also be updated when new pictures of something has been released.

I got my Robin and Boa mousepads today!:wub: Dunno if I'm gonna keep Boa or not. I have to continue the hunt for my lost SD card in the grass before I can take pictures. But right now I have to go help an old lady sort through her garage for a yard sale tomorrow and get paid for cleaning her house.

hey out of curiosity, how much would you sell Boa for? I kept thinking since I have a Luffy cosplay, if I had that mousepad I could take hilarious pictures with it xD sad that I'd pay money for something just for that… xDDDD

So a couple of weeks ago, someone at work stole my coat hanger from my cubicle. It hasn't turned up yet, which is pretty upsetting to me. Most of you would think, "Big fucking deal? It's a coat hanger, so what?"
Today I am taking home all my One Piece desk figurines. I didn't have much there, but I'm not risking someone taking those figures from me. So that includes my No Respect Time gashapon of Zoro and Sanji, Impel Down FC of Team Luffy and Magellan and Hannyabal, and my Horo Horo Zoro, Sanji, and Franky figures. It was nice having them hold up notes for me when I needed it.
I know the perpatrator doesn't post on these boards or even know what One Piece is, but thanks asshole, for making my day at work that much more dull and lowering my faith in humanity. I hope you get caught and get fired.

Yikes. Sorry about what happened. I know one of my biggest fears while moving in with strangers for the first time during my first year of college was that someone would be low enough to steal things that were important to me. I was lucky enough to be dormed with a real cool roommate, though, and she's totally understanding of the random figurine armies sitting on my desk every once in a while.
There are lots of people who've stolen treasured things from me in the past whom I wish would meet some violent karma-induced end, but bleh. It all happened so long ago. =w= Thieves suck. Cheap asses.

Yes, they can, but there are still members of this forum who would like to take the fangasms some place else. For me though, I certainly don't mind having having those or having petty fights between members because that makes these collectible threads entertaining.
I agree with you that v.4 is indeed a bit premature but we really need the first post for the updates.

I'm lucky I got a cool roommate this year (though I didn't take any of my expensive collectibles to my dorm), though I'm worried about the school apartment. I am getting the lockable cabinet, but I'm not putting everything in there =/

Yeah, while you might have a cool roommate, not everyone in the building will be. At least, One Piece isn't super OMG popular and people outside of the actual collecting hobby don't know what's valuable or not.

@Muda Muda: Talking about it here is better than in the Marketplace thread.
WCFs are really new, however, if you look at the first post of this thread, there are WCF releases from this month all the way to December. And then, there's releases every month from February to December of 2011. In the previous thread, I made a huge deal out of the fact that with 20 releases, there's 18 versions of Luffy: some with different outfits, some with different poses, and then the random Nightmare Luffy and Kid Luffy.
Check the One Piece Wiki for WCF or World Collectable Figure. Each set will cost you over $100. If you're a completionist, WCF might not be for you. But if you can limit it to favorite characters or arcs, it should be okay. And remember, check the first post.

Yeah, I saw a post somewhere showing all the releases for each month. When it comes to being a completionist, I'm not too bad of one…
The way I see it, I figure maybe one or 2 Luffy's would suffice. I'm partial to the Red and Black outfit he had on during EL, but his Sabaody and Original outfit pallettes work too. Other than that, I probably wouldn't collect all of his iterations (maybe Nightmare, but that's it).
As for all the other WCFs, I probably see myself as collecting only the ones I really want from each series, rather than just buy them all....for instance, from series 1 I could probably do without Buggy or Mr. 2, and MAYBE Ace. Luffy, Shanks, Garp, WB, and Dragon are definites though. I'd probably be this way for all of the series.
....but who am I kidding. I'll probably sucker myself into getting all 8 for every series when they release. And for only appx. $100+ per series? Yeah, I don't think it would be that big a deal, in hindsight....

I'd like to shake the hand of whoever decides to actually buy a Satori WCF figure. No matter what people think. His figure is the equivalent of putting £10 in the bin.
Annoys me how we get the likes of him yet popular ones like Hina and Fullbody are STILL missing for the next year.

I agree that no Hina yet is kind of a crime, but honestly, Fullbody's first chance would've been the Sanji-focused set, yet there were already a good number of characters for it. Except for Pearl. But I'd put Patty and Carne getting a better chance than Fullbody.
Though, with Jango as a Pirate getting a release this year, there is hope that he'll get released along with a demoted Fullbody to be with Hina. Remember, there's a lot of Baroque Works characters missing, and even other Alabasta characters like Eyelashes, Bananadiles, Nefertari Cobra, and Kohza. The missing Baroque Works members alone justify another visit or two for Alabasta and earlier arcs (maybe Whiskey Peak?), which hopefully will see the release of Hina.
Who knows, maybe there's some hidden Banpresto rep reading these boards. I've mentioned a bunch of times that a Johnny and Yosaku figure should be made, and my wish comes true next year (thanks Banpresto!). If there's a voice, they could listen. I'd like a Hina figure for my girlfriend, so I can help be vocal about it.

I see the shichibukai straps on HLJ are discontinued. I had placed an order for them with some upcoming stuff, but I made sure to press "ship available items" and had a billing agreement. I've heard nothing from them, so I guess I had to tell them to ship again after the straps were released… I don't need a whole box anymore, but that was pretty uncool of them.

I epicly failed with the Shichibukai Strap set.
I ordered 2 at HLJ with early bird - the set got released - but I did not get any of it. It went to discontinued, then 2 or 3 more orders I payed for passed, I kept waiting for it, but nothing.
Yesterday I finally decided to buy 2 sets (of 7 figures) off e-bay. Aaaaaaaaaand - an hour later I recive a payment request from HLJ >_> For one set of 10. Well goddamit XD
Now I'm going to have looooooooooooooots of spares. -
