I believe you, but somehow I don't think Hancock or some of the original POP prices will go down much (such as Nami/Bellemere ect.)
But I bet you can buy a jinbei at a very low price in about a year from now he's big and expensive and not thát populair I think. dunno about Whitebeard though.

True. 1st editions and unpopular figures that won't ever get a re-release are still going up but SW POPs (execept maybe Nami & Zoro) are just sitting on the shelves. Lots of Tashigi & Smoker too. I think they just made too many. Hancock will sell well because the POP actually looks good.

Croc POP just makes me shudder every time I see it.

Also the prices have been going up far too high for PVC figures IMO.
At a price of 8000-9000 yen for Whitebeard, jinbei, SW Franky (without shipping even) it's getting a bit out of hand. This is not the end, there (probably) will be garp/blackbeard at around same prices and possibly the ace/luffy set (I guess it'll be a set, not sure though), some of the admirals and eventually new characters too.

And I'm not complaining about the quality, but collecting POPs is starting to become a very, very expensive hobby.

(Unless when no one buys them of course =p).

Yeah, I don't really care much for that Boa. The faces for the figures are all kinda pudgy though, I think it's just the particular chibi style they're using. I don't really want to buy a whole set either, but meh. Maybe I'll be able to get my hands on just Ace too, somehow, and avoid buying the whole set. ;-;

On a happy note, I LOVE BOOKOFF. <3 Just got One Piece Yellow and Vol. 58 for 3 dollars each. They ran out of the 1 dollar One Piece Volumes, but I'm not complaining <3 OP Yellow has some WG/CP9 files in it, heehee.

Too bad Vol. 44 was 6.50. It had big burly Leopard Lucci on the cover, though, so resistance was futile. zzzz

I really like the SW Sanji POP. If I were collecting SW POPs those would be the ones I'd get (and Nami). it's just too expensive to get them all.

Preorder. September's not far, and you'll probably save a good chunk of cash.

They can sell out pretty quick, GLM 5 Luffy might be available for a while since it's basically a reissue of GLM 1 & 2.

And to answer your last question, hell yes. The GLM series are awesome, add in the low price and they are a no-brainer.

Not me. I'm getting every one released this year and beyond. I'd be more inclined to stop collecting my recently started WCF sets than give up on POPs. My real issue is where to put them all…

yeah i'm going to continue my collection of POPs too. :D however thanks to their increasing price it's easier for me to really just buy the ones i like. oh yeah … and i'm starting to have space issues as well ... -___- i don't even wanna think about whitebeard POP ... and banpresto's shichibukai set is going to take up loads of space too XD need to think about something ...

About the POP discussion ... I don't collect lines, I only collect everyhing I like from my favorite character. (You would never guess who it is...). Therefore I only have two POP - the Mugiwara Theater one and the MILD kids version POP. I never bothered to buy the original/Neo Luffy POP 'cause I simply don't like either of them.
BUT I might buy the new Luffy POP :D
I just hope he won't be sold together with Ace ... I really don't need him :ninja:

@Topic, Im not going to stop collecting POPs just yet, I will be doing as always, get the ones I like and sometimes buy cheap ones from forums (like I did with Luffy, Zoro, Kuma, Franky and Sanji =p) actually, I got most of them pretty cheap except for Brook and SW Usopp… Oh and Hancock is going to be a bit expensive too =p

I ordered a special ¥2010 lucky bag of stuff from Tokimekimall today. ¥10,000 worth of goodies for ¥2010 but I don't know what I'll be getting exactlly. I think it's all sorts of figures from the Mini Big Head line and other stuff that has been opened, returned or the box is damaged. Sounds like fun. I hope I get some nice stuff.

I keep being wishy-washy about my POP collection. I have to say the only SW one I haven't liked a lot has been Luffy. I think the others (nami V1, Zoro, Usopp, Robin) are really amazing and well made. I keep thinking to not collect some, but then a certain store has super low shipping + discount, and I just snatch them up. I don't collect too much OP stuff, so it's easy to justify. I might get overcome soon, though, as the releases are coming so fast and so many.

Crease: those prices don't seem that far off. A bit cheaper than hobby search but I think I got them for that cheap or less at amiami since I preordered early. It's not the prices, really, it's the SHIPPING that kills me. If I could get my amazon prime free shipping for POPs I would be in heaven!

The latest release POPs that are for sale by Amazon are cheap and have free shipping to Japan. The older ones are coming from private sellers and they have to overprice them because Amazon takes 20% and the prices include part of the shipping cost.

I think just about everyone who bothers to spend money on POPs likes them, atleast initially, ((except for those who have the money to blow to buy every POP just to have every one, but then again, they gotta like em enough to do that too)).

Sometimes your tastes change and you no longer really like the figure/character or maybe you're running out of room or something.

Also now the more space friendly WCFs and MBHs are gaining popularity and competing for collection attention from collectors. I've seen quite a few people mention they are jumping the POP ship in favor of the WCFs or MBHs. Well, there's also a greater selection of characters in those series.

And other lines come out with sculpts that are better then the POPs (take the Shichi DX Croc for example) and that causes people to not want the POPs so much.

I think right now, the biggest thing is that they are too expensive on top of outrageous shipping costs slaps around Otacute
