I personally think that time skip is the most likely scenario right now (especially with the last page), but a part of me wants to see Luffy do something and do it now. He's been such a bystander in one too many situations (his crew separated, now Ace dying). If he doesn't get some sort of rage-boost right now, I'd be majorly disappointed.

I already posted this in the spoiler thread, just before closing, so, here I go again:

I'd rather if Zoro wasn't the only one who pulled him out of this, it should be a joint effort, and belive it or not, Brook is the one most suited for the task, he can understand both brothers the best.

The hardest part is… what was done to get to this point, luffy was in a "the ends justify the means" mindset since he learned of the execution, but now he didn't acomplish his ends and the means are out there to bite him in the ass:

• Boa's help, the marines will soon realize all that she did, and go with a buster call to Amazon Lilly, if they don't get her head and her snake right here and now.
• Impel Down's Breakout leaving 200+ of the criminals who the WG managed to capture free, toping the list of the most dangerous, the one and only Crocodile, magnificent bastard who went out of his way to make Vivi's life hell.
• The overusing of the drug-wo/man, he's been saying since the first use that there "v'ill be consequences", aparently enlarging your face and changing your gender are the ones that don't have side-effects
• Blackbeard's Invasion would have been an awfull failure if Luffy wasn't already in Impel Down, they were saved because they allied with Shinryu (or what's his name) who had the antidote, and he wouldn't be there if Magellan wasn't in deep shit with the first break-in.
• Mr 2's Sacrifice... if he trully died, Luffy will be devastated, again.
• Akainu's actions wouldn't been needed if Luffy wasn't there, Sengoku's plan would have worked, and the red Dog wouldn't have looked this good, he was the one who realy hurt Whitebeard, both through Squardo and his fist. And that may be the push that leads him to Sengoku's place as the top Dog.
• If the crew is in any danger right now..

The train of shit that Luffy is about to face isn't pretty, and on top of that, he losses his brother, I feel very sad for him, I actualy cryed to the raws.

Salutes to Ace, I was never his biggest fan and he sure made some wrong decisions, but ultimately overcame his grimdark past, became an amazing bro and had a truly honorable death.

For how long had Ace still doubted his own worth after becoming brothers with Luffy? He is much more cheerful post-Luffy than pre-Luffy, but on the execution platform one can still see his doubts. Did he truly fully overcome his biological father's shadow?

The saddest parts to me in this arc are what Luffy went through and will be going through, and how long it took Ace to realize that he was an OK person in life and a good brother. If I read the trans right, Ace stilll says "…this hopeless me…this me who has the blood of a demon" even before death? Is his self confidence and self image still so negative???

I would pay to see that. Nothing against Boa or her island, but it will be too much for her actions to be brushed off with a "because I am beautiful" after all this.

I do think that they can shrug off anything short of Akainu or Akoiji, or Kizaru AND a buster Call, if the Super Poissonus snakes are well trained they can scare a lot of seakings to the surface and take care of the bulk of their force.
