British people, big hug from Australia.
I know you guys are shocked and scared and stunned.
You are not alone.
I pray for anyone who lost a loved one and for the injured, that they are comforted and heal quickly.
London has been bombed before her people are never lost their spirit. They stood out as an example of courage to a world at war once before and do again. (though we wish they didn't have to).
As for terrorists, well. All this talk of the Olympics reminds me of the moment I was most proud to be Australian.
It was at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. The athletes where marching in. The crowd cheered each country as they where announced.
The home team always gets the loudest cheer, yes. But the second loudest cheer?
It went to the team from Afghanistan.
THAT'S the kind of statement that we should be making or soon there won't be anyone left to say anything.
In honour of the lost on both sides screw the blaming and judgement.
Show them they are wrong about us.
