Ubiq hit the nail on the head, this whole chapter is fanservice for people who have read through all of One Piece up until this point. I am having trouble placing the Marine with the ship's wheel in his head. Was he the man in charge before Sengoku?
Seeing Gecko Moria and Donquixote in what appear to be pirate crews is certainly strange. Young Silver and Crocus were also strange to see. The whole chapter feels like Oda lifted back the curtain where he keeps all the flashbacks and they all ran amuck.

Now i'm really wondering what kind of antagonist Shiki is. He's fooling around with Indigo in this chap and in the sketches those 2 plus Scarlet are acting like Luffy, Chopper, and Ussop in front of Nami.
Also, Bogart. Oda needs to give some info on the guy. He's been following Garp for 20+ years.

A very interesting chapter we have here and I thank all that brought it out. Strangely a lot of it seems to pretty much show the massive scope of the OP universe: sure it's every character we've met in the scope in the framework of the Shiki incidents…but it's still shows how massive everything is and how we see many characters whether before or after the things that would change them.
Things of particular note in the chapter:
-Oda's consistency of keeping characters who have literally no connection whatsoever to world events going with what they already have: the giants on Little Garden keep fighting, Brook keeps going crazy in the Florian Triangle.
-I don't think Doflamingo has any expression other than "evil" no matter how old he is...and it's interesting we get Croc from behind.
-Nearly mistook Ace for Luffy...though luckily I picked up Yasopp as opposed to his son. (though if Shanks was already spending time in East Blue and it's probably a bit before Usopp...they probably went home a couple times while keeping base on Luffy's island)
-Aside from Brook (whom I mentioned), I liked that the other two living crewmates as of the chapter had bigger concerns to matter of Shiki (Robin: running for her life after the Ohara Incident; Franky: building the Sea Trains to clear Tom's name) At least they don't just show off a "random reindeer herd" in Drum...
-Tsuru...shrunk, a bit in all these 25 years. (though at least we get good views of Ace's mom...and Vivi's mom while we're at it) -
