I had a dream the other night where my gf downloaded snapchat onto my phone and then told all my friends I had it (I've made a big deal out of not getting that ridiculous app).
Her treachery knows no bounds!

I dreamed that I was accessing the AP forums and that I had won a red star.
This is very sad, I'm even ashamed.
Dreamt that I was bathing white birds…
I have a question though, does anyone else here always know when they're dreaming? Because 90% of my dreams I know its a dream and I could do anything in it. This how I wake myself up from a dream
1- I jump from a high place or
2- I close my eyes and spin around.
These past weeks I had this recurring (but not frequently) dreams about a women named "Alina" (she introduced her name in the first dream), though I never had any friends or contacts with that name nor even the name was familiar in my country… The dreams were about common daily events, no sequence with enough peculiarity for me to remember what exactly happened 15-20minutes after I woke up. Though I remembered one of the recent such as when I had this scene about me and her at some grocery store that sell books in their beverage machines, and we argued about which books that'd likely make us concern about sugar level on our blood..
From time to time, this girl "Alina" would appeared and accompanied me for some or the whole part of this kind of dreams.
So uh….last night was something else.
I dreamed that I got a "C" on my big English paper. Obviously devistating, but the odd thing was, I found myself going through a mall in order to get the subway home. And to make things worse on me, somebody came in and starting shooting. I immediately dunk to the ground, as did others. The scary thing was, the shooter got to within 5 feet of me (but not aiming at me, in fact he didn't see me) before somebody was a hero and shoot him down.
I hope to god this wasn't some kind of twisted vision.
Had a dream last night that my ex mother in law (who I loathe cause she's a snotty witch of a woman) can't to me and said I wasn't so bad and gave me fantail goldfish as a peace offering. I was like..ok, but really annoyed because I keep tropical fish and it's not that great of an idea to mix goldfish with tropical. I spent the rest of the dream trying to set up a tank for the goldfish, and half of them died.

Is it normal to dream in different narratives? Cause that kinda happened to me last night.
The story itself is really weird and involves a baby killer whale doll (that is completely brown and fuzzy) trying to swim out of a city filled with waterways (like Venice, but probably closer to Water 7). When it jumps over the city's main gate, the doll becomes a real baby killer whale (that is still brown and tiny), but then is caught by a person waiting there. Then the killer whale's mother (a giant goldfish…for some reason) appears and defeats the person.
The odd part is that at some points, I experience the dream as an observer, standing by the side and remarking at the swimming toy. Other points, I AM the swimming toy. And sometimes, I'm viewing the whole thing as some sort of third-person floating camera.
This is the first time I've experienced a dream not entirely in first-person, so I'm wondering if this is normal?
I've had dreams like that. I think they are interesting. I had a dream that I was eating apples, and now I really want one.

I don't entirely remember the context, but I told Sai-chan I wanted to be chased by gators, and that same night I had a dream that I ended up getting killed by deceptively friendly gators swimming in the backyard. It wasn't just me, everyone at that house got killed in what was termed a tragic accident, instead of the premeditated crime that it was. damn gators and their sneaky ways. point taken, Sai-chan. :T
Last night I had a dream that the PPG Z wanted to break into one of my teachers' house, and then it ended up being me. I repeatedly broke into my teacher's house on a loop. He had a dog that would bark at us. I had 'checkpoint' goals. I would run into the house, go to the checkpoints, and then somehow teleport out of the house because I'd hear my teacher coming back. The third door I was supposed to go into was too risky, but finally I was like 'fuck it I'm going for it,' and as I'm in the third room I hear him coming back as usual, but this time I've risked the third door. I'm kinda panicking and wavering between where to hide and what to do, and he's getting closer. Instead of vanishing I was like 'what if I just stay here and don't escape? will he notice?' Obviously he notices the door swinging cuz I took too long to situate myself in a hiding spot. he finds me hiding behind the door. I half-expected him to murder me, but after giving me one of his looks, he sort of invites me upstairs into the kitchen and we made a special kind of a burger on his stove. his dog now saw me as friendly and he was kind of like a hunting dog or something. I'd have to look up the breed. It was slightly awkward having to wake up from this dream and then go right to his morning class, but it's not like I told him about it.
Past week was filled with dreams driven by anxiety towards the new school year. My subconscious is asking questions I don't think about while I'm awake and this is taking a hilarious toll on my sleep quality and general mood. At least it's bound to stop in approx 2 days.
I had a very weird dream.
I found myself on some sort of an island (Jamaica by the looks of it) and I decided to rent a bicycle. I was driving around the city, and saw a street going down (San Franc. style) and I decided that I needed to go there. While I was gaining speed driving down, I saw the sea, and thought there's gonna be a beach down there. And when I was getting closer at the speed of nearly 60 km/h, I saw that it was a cliff! The brakes worked slowly, and I, panicking jumped off the bike, but I still fell down! I managed to grab the side of the cliff with my hand, and was left hanging. I looked down, and saw spiky rocks and big waves. All of this nearly 100 meters below me. And I was totally cool with it! I mean, my inner self wanted to scream and shout, but the dream me just pulled himself up, and advanced. It was really strange.
I had a really fun dream a couple nights ago. I was inside a Mario Kart type racing game, but instead of racing against the likes of Mario and Donkey Kong, I was racing against the characters from Rugrats. I can only remember one of the tracks I was racing, which resembled a castle.
In case anyone ever wondered, I can confirm that if you die in a dream, you do not actually die in real life.
Yeesh. Pretty relentless dream. I was in a kind of rural area, and it was a mixed jumble of things. It was dark. I was out here for some reason and the only reason I can imagine is because my aunt was out here too, and she lives in a rural area. So… In the house both my mom and dad are not speaking and were staring at static TV screens with blank smiles. For some reason my mom was in a dank cold bathroom with the TV. When I checked the rooms again, they had both vanished. I remember feeling an air of disappointment. There were pictures on the wall with me except having a really lengthy beard, way past my chest and very thin. The pictures of me looking very soulless. I went outside to look for them in a forest-like area with fairly dim, orange-yellow lighting, when my cell phone falls down a steep hill and into a wide stretch of trees below. Nearly immediately after, I see the eyes of a hyena for a split second before I see the full body of it rushing me. I was foggy in one eye in this dream, so it made it harder to swat this son of a gun in my dream with my fist. I managed to get one good hit on him to make him go away. I decide to just go back to the house without my phone, and a wider set ginger dude is there who I've never met. He informs me that he knows where my parents might be with a close-eyed grin, and then my dream ended.
I had a dream a few nights ago where Eminem was attempting to rob me. Both of us were waiting to see who would punch first, but he eventually ran off.
I had a dream that I was running away from Fujitora in Paris.
I dreamt last night that me and the Guardians of the Galaxy went to the theater to see Avengers: Age of Ultron.
I had the weirdest dream marathon some days ago.
First I was in a burning building and had an argument with somebody/myself over trying to save as many possessions as possible. In the end I bundled them together in a fake sheep-skin I own and had it roll down the stairs. The POV changed to the sheepskin bundle. Very long stairs, and suddenly there's a hairy cat in the bundle too. Fire everywhere around the scene.
Then it switched to a strange, light scene, it looked like it was right after rain in the morning. I woke up in a glass house, and everywhere around were stairs where students walked to school. And it was not comfortable waking up in my nightgown in an invisible glass house, so I just sat there and huddled the blankets around me. Suddenly there is rain, and snails, and the stupid snails are coming into the hosue from small gaps. Probably inspired by my fear of snails (thanks, Uzumaki) and the fact that I've had some really disgusting snails enter my parents home through those water-grate thingies. NOT nice knowing there just might be a snail in your shower.
Scene switch three, now we're in hell apparently. Invisihouse returns, but this time I actually have proper clothes on, thank god. Outside it looks like a steel balcony, with a small stair going up. For some reason the stair part stood out. A nice-dressed agent (can't remember if he dressed in beige or black) came up with his sweet lil daughter, who he then told to go down and wait for him or something. Anyways, she was shafted from the dream. He argued with me about something, wanted to come into the house but nope I'm not unlocking the door for you. So he decides to take the way around by traveling on the "ground" connected to the house on the outside. It consists of what looks like pale, grey faces in pain, and they're all gooey (probably inspired by that awful live-action Alice in wonderland movie Disney made. There's a scene where she steps on faces and its kinda creepy). Anyway, the faces can't hold his weight, so he is pulled into the goop and persumably to his death - either by suffocation, or by falling into the fiery pits below.
Last scene, now we're in a tropical jungle. There are wooden paths you can walk on (we're basically up in and inside the trees), and tons of small shops a'la markets. Some have some really delicious food, I could practically smell it in the dream. Agent turns up again, this time in a hot air balloon and with a very fat friend for some reason. The fat friend wants to eat something, but the store owners don't think they'd have enough.
I think I had a small fifth scene after that, but I can't remember. Then I woke up, wrote this down as I actually had an assignement for school that related to dreams, and went to bed again.
I once dreamt that my cousin and niece got eaten by a Giant Platypus as they were canoeing on a lake; the whole dream played out like a Lake-Monster Film with the heroes slaying the creature in the end…............with a giant anchor.
A few nights ago, I dreamt that I was sitting at a table somewhere watching a play on stage. Some time later, NBA player Rajon Rondo, walks by and sits near. He began to mock and insult my appearance. At first, I began to ignore him, but after awhile, I lost my cool and began insulting him back, to which he responded by pointing and laughing at me.
I dreamed my mom had smacked up a tent in the middle of Englewood in Chicago for me. It was fell weird, I had computer and everything in there.
I had a dream a couple nights ago that me and my cousin had to stop our zombified family members from going on a rampage.
Didn't realize this thread was bumped so recently. I just wanted to write this down since it was cool as hell when I was dreaming.
I don't remember too much of the setup but I think I was in my own house (give or take some additions that were only in the dream) and there was fighting I guess. Can't remember the specifics. There was a computer program though that was built to train soldiers. Basically make supersoldiers that I guess couldn't be done in real life. The training program lasts 30 years. So I go into the training program (doing this went through a menu kind of like a video game, which I thought was interesting), though the actual things the program does to train soldiers doesn't really show to me. Basically it was like I was dreaming inside the dream while in the program. At some point I'm woken up out of the program and I come out the vessel I was put in to some barren wasteland. Keep in mind that when I was put into the program it was in a small room in my house. I don't know if my house was wiped away or not. The person that woke me up was someone I knew from earlier in the dream but I don't remember who it was supposed to be. They were older too. They tell me that I was woken up to take a rest from the training program and that it had been 15 years. At the same time I was woken up to use my soldier training. The person points to the horizon where some missiles are being launched into the air and I'm told to shoot them down. So I get a sniper rifle and shoot these missiles out of the air. I think the dream ended shortly after that.
Right now I had a dream with Doffy and Sugar - and some other nameless people and myself.
It was a little bit weird and Sugar's powers worked a little bit different as they were sort of an on/off switch (and Sugar had completely no control when she touched something).
However, it was quite interesting that whenever Doffy was a toy not only Sugar changed into a nice girl (because she didn't remember his bad influence), but also some nameless fodder dude (who did shit when Doffy was around) suddenly got courage and took the leadership.
Also, whereas I was a normal person in that dream who could get toyified and detoyified as well, I was as the only one immune to her mindfuck. So, I remembered still about Doffy and tried everything to prevent him changed back, but, of course, due to rule of drama I failed. (They, including Sugar as long as Doffy's a toy, were nice and reasonable people, but just couldn't grasp what I tried to say because they just didn't remember anything about Doffy.)
It really was an interesting experience.
I crushed my car against a wall while driving straight to it, got out the car all bleeding painless and said "I'm a bad driver".
I don't even know how to drive, and my dreams discouraged me:sad:
A few nights ago, I had a dream where I had to stop this lady from attempting to murder my mother, while my mother is completely oblivious to what was going on.
I had a dream a few nights ago, where I snuck into my cousin's high school, went with him to gym, and we just hung out and talked for a little while. He told me what was on his mind, and listened to him talk about his personal issues.
I had that dream again. That dream that I eat small animals. This time it was chinchilas.
This stupid dream ruined my sunday:
I was going to my living room and I saw my first dog (who died last year) on the sofa, I was so happy that I said "WOW, you are alive" and went to her direction, but when I came close, she disappeared and I thought, "oh yeah..she is dead", than I went back to my room and I began to cry and my mom asked, "why are you crying ? I said, "Mulan (my dog name) is dead" after that, I woke up, crying.
I had a bit of an embarrassing dream last.
I was participating in the 3pt contest during NBA All-Star weekend. Every shot I tried to make, all ended up being air balled.
So last night, I had a dream where I was in a futuristic version of Springfield, Mass. Then, somewhere in the city, I laid down on a conveyer belt, having sportscenter highlights downloaded into my brain.
I'm surprised this thread isn't more active.
So the dream I had last night was pretty much me, my family, and (for some reason) Kate Bush being in hell. It started with me and Bush walking in some torn up or something part of town. Buildings were falling apart and such. Some guy comes up to us and we follow him for some reason. Through alleys and I think into the sewer. So that's how we got there. Not sure how or when my family got there. It wasn't like fire and brimstone or anything though, the parts that I remember were like a mix between a fancy restaurant and a warehouse. And I don't know if this was in the dream or not but when I woke up the idea popped into my head, and I heard it somewhere before too, that in the dream hell was a physical place and was characterized by being cut off from God. Usually with this idea hell is being cut off from God and isn't a physical place but here it was a physical place but that idea of being cut off from God was there.
I remember at one part eating with my family and with other people in the restaurant. Next part is a bit sexual so I'll put it in hide tags.
[hide]So parts of the dream were framed as a movie, so I guess the entire dream was supposed to be a movie but parts of it were like extra footage of the filming of the movie. This part was like that and had the devil (who was just a guy in a suit, and the devil guy was also the director but for this part I guess it was a stand-in) having sex with Kate Bush while the director (and normal actor for the devil standing to the side masturbating).[/hide]
The last part I remember pretty well was Sufjan Stevens sitting at a piano with his back to the camera playing for a bit and then getting up and walking towards the camera and transforming into the devil.
Has anyone here has experienced before, or is able to luccid dream?
I've had near-lucid dreams before, but what typically happens is that when I start recognizing that I'm in a dream, the lucidity starts to go away.
For example, I can recall dreams where I've had the ability to fly, or create fire out of thin air… at first, the ability is thrilling and effortless, but as I try to exercise more control over it, it starts to fade. Usually, it's when I decide to try to show someone else in the dream what I can do. Or if I try to put the ability to particular use, like flying through the air to make sure I get somewhere in time.
I've heard that you can practice having lucid dreams, though. I read once that Richard Feynman tried using meditation to get to the point where he could lucid dream on demand. He said that, once he'd learned to do it whenever he wanted, it lost its novelty and actually left him feeling more exhausted by the time he woke up. He also said that waking up from a fully lucid dream was a very scary process.
How about you?
I had near-lucid dreams before too, and when I wake up and try to move, my legs will get this goddamm painful cramp and make me walk funny for a day.
A lot of people say they will feel the scary feeling of someone/something watching you when you wake up but thank god it never happened to me.

I never had a full lucid dream before, and kinda interested in having one.
Depends on the exact definition of it. I am not aware that some things are unrealistic and I usually find the environment really natural when in reality it's bizarre. However, to some extent I feel like I am in power of how things go, I am often capable of influencing it and being a bit aware that I am in a dream.
All of that happens only in morning dreams, though.
I don't really wish to have one, it's more fun this way, I sometimes even dream about stories and it's so beautiful to let go of your mind and create your own universe in those dreams~
Dream last night was of an R-rated Nightcrawler movie cashing in on what Deadpool started. It seemed like from how the dream went that it was an unreleased movie and this was a special showing. There were two animated shorts before the movie started that were seemingly unrelated to the actual movie. I don't really remember much of either but the first one might have had something to do with tracking down people with mutations like what give the X-Men their power. Both were pretty inappropriate even for being shown before an R-rated movie. The only real part of the movie I remember is when Nightcrawler shot up a school. The scene started with Nightcrawler being attacked by a car full of people. It was in first person. Two people got out of the car and the car started driving away. Nightcrawler shot and killed both of them and after that the car was a decent distance away. He managed to line up a headshot on the driver and after he killed the driver he teleported to a little behind the car. The car veered to the left and hit a tree and a few more people with guns got out, which Nightcrawler proceeded to shoot and kill. By now he had a submachine gun where before he had a pistol. The car had crashed in front of an elementary school and there were kids and teachers and such outside. The shooting brought out security guards (who I think looked like SWAT for some reason) who Nightcrawler started shooting and while this was happening shot and killed a lot of the kids and teachers too. After the shooter stopped he teleported away and some cops had to handle the aftermath. One detail I remember that doesn't seem to really have any relevance was that the floor of the school was covered in water and pennies.
There was also a part before the movie started but when something was talking about how all the violence in the movie was CGI where one of the people who worked for the theatre demonstrated practical violence in movies vs CGI violence. He shot someone in the theatre with a pistol full of blanks and then shot the other one with a water gun.
A few days ago, I nearly experienced the sleep paralysis phenomenon.
I just kept waking up every two minutes or so, with the feeling that my heart was being crushed and stopped beating. I stayed awake for another 30 minutes, it was 2 A.M., I think, before convincing myself to try finding sleep because I had important stuff to do in the morning.
So I did that, and as I lay on my bed, I find it hard to move. I hear voices - or was it me talking to myself ? - telling me to not do anything. To just, simply fall asleep, but I end up panicking and I stand up.
It was quite of a frightening night, I have to say. But I'm glad I didn't get sleep paralysis, because it seems even more scary than that.
One of the last dreams I remember was about comics. I really like comics, and dreaming about them always makes me happy. I usually wake up in the morning with a good mood after that.
I was a spectator in my own dreams, following the adventures of a "Robin" (Batman associate), dressed up like Enigma (Batman villain), or at least that's what I think because he was dressed up all in green with a fancy hat.
He was driving a retro Bat mobile. Now that I think of it, it seemed quite small compared to the man's size. But I found it cool.
The "Robin" was cool too.
I think that I'll try training myself to do lucid dreams, or at least half-lucid. What I would like is to decide the theme of the dream, but not the outcome. Be surprised by my own mind.
First I'll try remembering my dreams, then writing them down, and writing stories out of it. It's a fun thing to do.
I'm impressed by your ability to retranscribe your dreams in a such complete way, Sakonosolo. Do you have the habit to write them down as soon as you wake up ?

@le:
Has anyone here has experienced before, or is able to luccid dream?
I've experienced that before, but only a limited number of times.
(And this is a nice thread by the way)
This is what I usually do.
Wakes up and write down my dream in keywords style.
A few days later: wat le **** am I writing So I usually forget them. Depressing, really.
Last night (or what is the night before ?) I dreamed of losing my teeth.
Today, I opened a random page of a book, saying to myself : "What will I be in a year ?". The first four letters translated in "dead".
Ugh.

You could try quickly typing them on your phone or a mobile device or putting the big titles of your dreams on a paper and then reorganizing them later (when you'll see them, you'll eventually remember your dreams in detail).
I stopped having dreams not much to discuss i guess
…
If I have something particularly vivid I try and type it out here as soon as I wake up and did that for the latest one. Not always though, and maybe some stuff that I type out might be stuff added after the fact to make it more coherent but even if I forget most things I still generally remember snippets here and there, and the last few things I've written down were basically snippets. I did keep a dream journal for a little while and had a few pages with it but I stopped that quite a while ago.
And I've had sleep paralysis a few times before, and with taking pain meds recently they seem to make it more frequent. Usually it's just a sense of dread but the first time I had it I actually saw a bunch of shadow people standing in my room. The most recent stuff with the pain meds have been auditory hallucinations mostly. And generally sleep paralysis happens on the verge of waking but quite a lot for me I'll actually feel my limbs start to freeze up as I'm falling asleep.
I did keep a dream journal for a little while and had a few pages with it but I stopped that quite a while ago.
I'll try doing that, writing what I remember from my dreams somewhere as soon as I wake up.
Dreamt that I was getting chased by a psychotic tortoise and kept getting bitten.
The tortoise then turned into a pink fluffy object
And I placed it on the balcony of a small house by the seaside.
Wish I had written this one down earlier but I woke up before I usually do and just went back to sleep. Don't remember too much about it.
It had to do with some sort of recipe. I imagine for something magical or whatever. The first part I remember is after we had completed the recipe me and some other people were filling out forms about what we did with it and a girl leaned over to me asking me if she had done a certain part. Don't remember her name but it was some kind of flower. Later on she split into 3 separate people: her, a similar but different acting girl named Base Unit, and a less similar girl who was sitting naked at the end of a semi trailer named Tina. That's really all I remember unfortunately. There was also something about a talking building, like you would announce something over a loudspeaker and the building would respond. I've also had a dream multiple times about a specific cabin that is haunted to some degree but that's probably part of a different dream.
I've never had completely lucid dreams, but I've had dreams where I realized it was a dream, but then my body couldn't move anymore. Like, I wanted to throw a punch but my hand would stay down. I'd like to have more lucid dreams, I feel like I'm dreaming less and less.
Some of my recurrent dreams are:
1. I'm in a room at a friend's house, and there's a dressing table by the wall. I push it and there's a hole behind it. I go through it and it ends up in a side, dead-end and dirty alley, with some waste containers and a metallic stairway. I go up the stairway, it's ever surrounded by walls and it seems like hours before reaching the end. The final steps are rusty, some even missing, so I have to jump to reach the end of the stair - a cloud. Once there, the place resembles an office, but with walls entirely made of glass, and I can see bits of the outside, and the cloud is floating over a huge prairie. It usually ends when I see a door in which I'm not allowed to enter.
2. There was a time when I had numerous dreams where I'd lose my teeth after applying too much pressure while having my mouth closed. The most memorable one, I was in a war field, automatic gun in my hand, and I run to duck behind a shrine while reloading my gun. My mouth suddenly clenched so hard, I wanted to open it but I was unable, the more I tried the more it was locked, and then I feel blood flowing inside my mouth and my back teeth giving up to the pressure. I always woke up terrified.
