Chapter 553 "Battle of the Highest" Discussion

I really don't have any reasons why Chopper wouldn't be on the next cover. I'm just hoping it will be someone new. I know this is totally random but what ever happened to Don Krieg?

If you noticed the pattern in the past couple of chapters, everyone got 2 back to back cover stories. If you remember that in this chapter, it was choppers first cover story which brings everyone to assume that this weeks chapter will have choppers 2nd cover story just like everyone else.

But you can definitely pray, hope, dream, and imagine otherwise.

There are so many characters in this arc that the SH will have to meet at some point of the story that I don't think all of their powers will be revealed now. We don't need to see the whole war, to see each and every single fight, we know what's happening, we know why it happens, we just need to know how it will finish. I hope the next chapters will be about Luffy arriving on a almost destroyed island with only a few people standing, that will give him the opportunity to save Ace. I don't really care about Mihawk vs Jozu, or Mario against Kizaru. I like the fact that we had a glimpse of Mario's power, still not knowing what it really is. It's the same with Doflamingo. And Akainu still remains mystery. I hope they will only be revealed when the SH will meet them in NW…

Yea I always thought Oda was gonna gip us and just montage/summarize the war with narration.

This is already more than I asked for. I kinda wanted Akainu to still have his introduction like the other 2 admirals where he gets to pwn the SHs but this epicness more than suffices.

Seems he's only showing this much to focus on a death imo.

Impressive way to take some foolish joke to heart. I wasn't really hating on anybody. If I make such a comment it is because I expected no one to take me seriously in the first place, given that it is over the internet and that you don't know me. So I can't imagine why you'd take offense over a harmless joke. Sorry if this was the case, it was not my intention.

I get it. I just thought that given that 90+% of my posts are ridiculous in the first place and my online persona is somewhat established as a non-asshole kind of guy (as opposed to say… TheHerald) I'm kinda used to not being taken seriously over those remarks. Of course I'm so new most people haven't had any sort of run in like this one.

I also tend to hit and miss for most of my jokes, so I don't mind explaining myself.

In the middle of a discussion of whether Ace knew he was Roger's son or not (at least I think that's what it was) I said that he must have known that he and Luffy weren't related as they didn't meet until they were older. I didn't even realize I had leaked anything until the next day .

He's right though, I mean U R an A$$ sometimes but everybody is. Its just one of ppl's natural tendencies, But U've done nothing 2B labeled an A$$ by everyone. I on the other hand started a major war or debate, over a minor discrepancy due 2near synonymous words after just joining.
