Wow, "Christ what an asshole" works for all of them.
Again, "strips for the New Yorker".

Why do these studios even bother getting the Dr. Suess licence if they have zero idea of how to make it work. This is so far removed from the source material they might as well make up their own thing and then at least it wouldn't be super jarring.
Like, Chuck Jones did it perfectly in 22 minute shorts decades ago (and also the Jungle Book stories.) Anything beyond that it just… ick.
He basically seems exactly like Gru. Also why use Bendystraw Crinklefries if you aren't gonna have him use his actual voice. The voice this Grinch has can be basically done by anyone.
Yeah, can't believe that's actually Benedict Cumberbatch. It's so wrong.
I will admit the "loud snow" scene made me giggle, however.
Kids know what's good if you give them good stuff:
I had NOT known that Animaniacs was coming to Hulu in 2020. Guess I'll be getting Hulu later.

Is that why the 4Kids One Piece dub lasted for 103 episodes?
Is that why the 4Kids One Piece dub lasted for 103 episodes?
I guess enough of the actual good story was able to persevere through the awful dub.

So no Katie Kaboom, Hip Hippos, Mindy & Buttons, and just one episode of Goodfeathers?
I liked Katie Kaboom.
But here's hoping that after 25 years of study they will know what to include and what to cut.

Can we drop wheel of morality and Dot's poetry corner too?
Whichever, as long as they include this:
Can we drop wheel of morality and Dot's poetry corner too?
Sure, those were just filler for episodes that ran a little short and don't add up to much as opposed to, say, the Flame which got a few shorts that were infinitely long. So no real loss there.
What, I really enjoyed the Wheel of Morality segments :( They were so random and a nice send-up of other kids shows that felt obligated to always include some kind of moral or message.
Is that why the 4Kids One Piece dub lasted for 103 episodes?
I'm pretty sure that was just 4kids stubbornly trying to get a return on their massive investment.
The early episodes weren't popular so they skipped dozens of episodes to rush to Alabasta (or possibly Chopper), which couldn't save the series because by that point word had gotten around that it was crap.
Just finished marathoning this on Netflix. Was worried because the reviews are all negative, but its basically the entire Futurama team so I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
The first few episodes were… not good.
Then the ones in the middle were actually pretty funny.
And then the last few episodes were... what the hell, where are they going with this?
So slow start and I'm interested to see where they go with season 2.

Yeaaaaah I too felt the same way. The pilot was REALLLY a dullfest with only a few chuckles here and there at most. MAYBE I just missed out on some of the gags or visual humor or something but it was just flat out dull (albiet pretty to look at). The following episodes were ranging from incredibly dull to okay. With the last few episodes, they were clearly building up to this but they could have easily done a better job to create a continous plot rather than pulling the rug under us near the end.
Though I did warm up to the characters a bit more as the season progressed which is a plus, but yeah I feel they pretty much should have thrown more gags at us (like…for effs sake, there's a whole bunch of Futurama nerds working here. This should have been EASY) OR just gone with the for contious plot deal like Gravity Falls (I mean there WERE hints at a potential overarching plot, but it was kinda shrugged off for the most part). Hopefully this does well enough that it won't fall into the cracks like Moral Orel as I feel it pretty much made the same sort of mistakes in the first season and mold out a pretty epic story. There's a WHOLE lot of potential here they can make with references and allusions to all sorts of fantasy based medium (and..I must have blanked out but did they seriously refrain from making a single Tolkien allusion? That should have been a no brainer).
PS: I'm relieved they resolved the lingering plotline of curing Prince Guysbert's headache. :P
There is a kickstarter for a movie verison of Undergrads. I hope this ends up happening. I was big fan of the series when Comedy Central rerun the series years ago.

Holy…I remember that show!
I can't believe it was only 13 episodes.

I know. I always felt Undergrads was really underrated.

I liked the show and I'd be all for it, but loooots of red flags here. It's a pretty terrible kickstarter. Their goal is just to fund pre-production, which means maybe a script, and maybe storyboards, but nothing else.
Their intended goal of 115,000 won't even cover the cost of getting the VAs to come back in, and have an editor do sound mixing on all of it. So we won't even have a radio play version edited to storyboards.
On top of that, they have zero breakdown as to what the funds will go to and expected final product per tier. It's entirely a "gauging interest, give us money and then we'll shop it around to the studios that have had no interest for 15 years" kickstarter with nothing really to do. The rewards and Kickstarter's 10% will eat almost everything.
Kind of like the SwatKats kickstarter a few years back. That hit 144K… which was enough to... fund a 2 minute teaser, but not a full new episode... and which 4 years later, hasn't even managed that teaser. (And even if it had hit 200K for 1 episode, or 1M for 5 episodes they wanted, the animation would have been trash.) Or the Dragon's Lair kickstarter. Or really, basically any only nostalgic animation project trying to fund a project of that scale through kickstarter.
I know. I always felt Undergrads was really underrated.
My friends and I still randomly say Alabama Slamma for no reason lol.

Presumably they have at least something even if it's just a pitch packet since they temporarily got Warner Animation on board before Cartoon Network passed on a revival.
Though, with Kickstarters and crowdfunding in general, you should always opt for physical rewards so even if things don't pan out, you still get something out of the deal. Even if Dragon's Lair never gets made, Don Bluth and Gary Goldman's autographs plus a really nice NiMH print was worth the few bucks I threw into that one for instance.
The animation does look a little amateurish. But when you compare it to the silly, blocky animation that is the original (bless it's heart), it's lovely. And we all know, if the story and characters are great, the animation won't be a concern.
I don't think this will go well.
After Boss Baby anything is possible.
Watches trailer
Oh, a cartoon spy movie. That might be pretty cool.
…Oh...he turns into a bird......that's stupid.
Goddammit Blue Sky! Didn't you already do a bird movie?
Oh that's nothing apparently Cars 2 wasn't a thing.
Yes it wasn't designed as spy flick but that still took up practically 70% of the movie
I wonder what Disney will do with Blue Sky. Shut them down? Keep them to just crank out Ice Age movies for the Latin American and European markets?
Having them take over DisneyToons' role of cranking out spinoffs is another possibility since they shut that down a few months ago.
I have to admit, the pigeon made me giggle. But I'm not sure that will hold up for a whole movie.
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running.

So, from the desire to keep the cast, can we assume that means just ignoring anything that happened after Shrek 2? Because I'm totally okay with that.
Can they not cop out and have Fiona decide to stay as an Ogre.
Well, 2003 Teen Titans is coming back. But…in a direct-to-video crossover with TTG.
Unfortunately it appears that the new Grinch movie is rather . . . . meh.
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_grinch
Not that anyone is that shocked. Is there anything better than the original? Not really.
Well, 2003 Teen Titans is coming back. But…in a direct-to-video crossover with TTG.
Well, that's rather . . . . odd.
I went to see the new Grinch movie today and, uh…well, what's the RT score now?
55%
Yeah...yeah, that's about right
! As expected from Illumination, it's a very cutesy and very safe film. They honestly seemed really nervous about making the Grinch look too mean.
! Oh, and something I just realized. There's this whole subplot with Cindy Lou's mom being overworked and…it's never resolved! Seriously, they have this whole B plot almost about 90% through the movie and then they just drop it.
! Well, it's a short movie anyway. Only 86 minutes.
! Now, while I admit that the live action Grinch is a guilty pleasure of mine, so I'm probably biased, I do think the live action film is the better of the two. Yes it was ugly, tonally-confused, and vulgar in a few spots, but at least it had some bite to it. And they weren't afraid to make the Grinch look mean.
My love for Benedict Cumberbatch or no, I'm just not interested in seeing it. We've got Chuck Jones, and that's as perfect as it's going to get.
Whelp, everytime I log onto Netflix now they blare THIS trailer at me before I start actually looking for stuff.
Um.
Pffffffttt!! Oh my.
Did I hear RuPaul's voice in there? Because it doesn't seem right without RuPaul either in it or with her seal of approval.
I watched that show. But I couldn't fully focus on it cause I'm pretty sure the original version is in Spanish. The lip syncing (ironically) was way off. Also the subs don't match up either.
But it was fun and had some nice messages about positivity and loving yourself.

Brazilian, actually.
I read some reviews and it seems to be a love it or hate it show. If a little too juvenile.

Ah yeah. It's very juvenile. There's a robotic side kick named Dil-do. A lot of penis shaped stuff. One of the Queen's has a protection spell that creates a giant condom.
I didn't hate it but as much as I love drag queen shows I was kinda…Eh. I loved the song in the last episode and the little twist.
That's… kind of disappointing to hear. Maybe it was a long shot but part of me was expecting to be pleasantly surprised a la Big Mouth at least.
also apparently some of the discourse around the latest Grinch has thrown accusations at us Millenials for trying to rehabilitate the live-action Grinch's reputation a la Space Jam
I finally got to see the first couple of episodes of She-Ra. I can't quite put my finger on it but this version in general reminds me of something else but I can't recall what.
I love Bow. I just like that he's kinda a dip but is just nice in general.

I love the idea of Drag Queen supergirls, but this doesn't seem quite the kind I was hoping for. I mean, I see the FAB in it, but even Drag Queens wouldn't be that juvenile.
If you have any intention of seeing Lego Movie 2, I'd say skip this trailer. It show quite a bit and gives away a bunch of jokes.
! Oh geez, they have Chris Pratt vs. himself.
I was gonna skip in anyway due to not like the stop motion nature of the Lego films.
