I like how they subtly point out those faggots at Horrible-Subs. XD
But I always figured they'd do that to begin with. o_O Ah well, hopefully when it goes back up things will go much smoother.

Where does it say it's coming back?
And Once again, nobody mentions the DVDs…
i think i read it wrong..
They did say that episodes they are simulcasting will be uploaded shortly before they are to go on air, and after the Japanese broadcast. This doesn't mean specifically One Piece is coming back but it means they still have simulcasting.
Other than that they found the guy already? SWEET!
Finding "The Guy" (they possibly Mean HorribleSubs, considering they're the ones who did the Mass Distribution) might be good, as having a face to blame this on might make Toei Happy.

That could just be referring to FMA and Phantom, though. The last answer very much implied that perhaps they are having some issues with Toei.

Let his/her execution be public so we can all see it, live!
lol… Just kidding. I hope they do get punished, though.
And Once again, nobody mentions the DVDs…
Because there very likely isn't anything to worry about, there.
It does, at least to me, sound like it has a good chance of coming back though (the simulcast).
Good to hear what Funi's up to (kinda). And hopefully the leaker gets pwned.
Edit - I still think Toei will be fine with the simulcast eventually, it's just a matter of how soon Funi can convince them that a leak of this kind will happen again.
And Once again, nobody mentions the DVDs…
They don't mention it because there's nothing to mention.

But you know, as much as I was panicky earlier, I think firecrouch had a point in an earlier post - Toei probably wants One Piece to succeed stateside. They are probably aware how most of the fans feel about this, and I think that it's PLAUSIBLE they could say "well, okay, just don't screw up again" considering that just uploading the episode shortly before it goes live ALONE will help the problem immensely.

Yeah, this one doesn't warrant death, but I am curious to know exactly what they plan to do to him.
Because there very likely isn't anything to worry about, there.
People are still asking about it though, and even if they just answered what would be the situation's equivalent of "the sky is still blue" (assuming the license is indeed safe as most of the people here seem to feel) it would probably calm down some of the more panicky fans.

Poverty, Being basement-dwellers, and Dickheadedness. HorribleSubs, the Kings of the Jackasses attained this and everything else the internet had to offer, and their Dying words drove countless souls to throw shit at them.
"You want Anime? You can have it! because We hate American Companies for absolutely no reason, so we're complete dicks, kthxbi"
These words lured anime fans to FUNimation.com in Pursuit of their Legal streaming Anime being returned to them.
This is the time of the Great Simulcast Era!

I'm not too thrilled with a certain word in the first sentence, but otherwise it was amusing.

Yeah, I don't see how they couldn't agree if it's not going to be uploaded before it airs. I anxiously await any news…

Yeah, my actual opinion over the death penalty would show that I am definitely joking.

But Twitter's FUNimation said something like "Just the online videos, at the moment." in response to somebody asking if the DVD's might be in trouble. I guess it was kind of implying that problems may arise in the future, although they were probably just playing it safe because they didn't know for sure.

4kids'd the post due to complaints… Assuming I got the right word

It's a plausible read but I think the concern arises from the fact that even though the question has been asked we have yet to recieve an official, solid "the DVDs are SAFE" statement from Funimation, as both of the responses I've seen include words that suggest some uncertainty.
Still, some people feel very confident that the DVDs will be safe, and hopefully that confidence will turn out to be true. Otherwise it might be a while before we get anymore news (unless something else happens).

EXACTLY!!
I've asked several times in several different places (Twitter, the FUNi blog, and Toonzone's Ask a FUNi rep thread) and I've never gotten a definitive "The DVDs are Safe" answer, it's ALWAYS the same stock-standard "We are talking with our One Piece Partners now and will have an answer shortly" thing.
The fact that they won't even give a straight answer on JUST THE DVDS scares me.
I wouldn't worry. Toei Animation has spent too much time and effort on their biggest series since "Dragonball" to just consider limiting its release in America, especially when they've had high hopes to make it a mainstream hit.
Well, Rojas can only say what he is allowed. As a middleman he just reports to the fans, not make rulings on this sort of thing.
By the way: It's Toon Zone, not Toonzone.
And Once again, nobody mentions the DVDs…
I could only wonder why…

Exactly. Toei Animation probably isn't taking the DVDs into consideration right now, it's just that they're not allowed to say anything because of the politics in this situation.

Rin, I was hitting the panic button, too - especially yesterday - but I also think posting "OH NO OH NO THE DVDS ARE NOT SAFE THE DVDS ARE NOT SAFE" is making at least ME a little more panicky. It could be making others panicky as well - possible those who aren't posting since most of the people who've been posting have been level headed for the most part.
I'm not claiming to be the queen of cool heads here because I certainly haven't been (especially yesterday) but I think listening to firecrouch is probably a good idea here. He's got a good point - why would Toei purposely want one of their titles to fail? Yes, I would still like a more direct answer myself, but at this point I'm less panicked about it than I was.
At least I'm not Roman Godding it up here.
"OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ONE PIECE IS GOING TO DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE IN THE STATES!! AND WHEN IT DIIIIIIIIIIIES, ALL THE TREES WILL WITHEEEEEEEEER, AND WE'LL RUN OUT OF AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIR AND DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!"
All I'm saying is I'm a little uneasy about it, and would like some clarification

I actually accused him of being the leaker of "One Piece" 403 on Quexinos' forum, I get the feeling he's so pessimistic about "One Piece" succeeding that despite his desire for it to do well, he must satisfy his delusional identity by clarifying his pessimism .

That's why you were the first one to completely freak last week.
Roman's on FUNPiece forums? Maybe I should join now… O.o
But yeah, I don't suspect the DVDs will be affected.
Wait this is why everyone joined? They wanted to see Romangod?… He's not there often, only when there's bad news =P
So will we have the episode 1 hour after it airs in japan, or not ?
No I don't think. Not for a while.
Again, I just want to re-iterate that if you really are concerned about the situation, you shouldn't just wait around and hope for the best. Get off your butt and call Toei Animation's American sales office (it's not that hard to find), mail them a letter. I'm sure a lot of trust has been lost between FUNimation and Toei Animation, Shueisha, and Fuji T.V. If they know there are fans out there who wants this to go back online, now's the time for them to hear it.
Um, people, why are we still even worrying? We pretty much got confirmation that this is still on. Unless Fukunga's really dedicated to his hypotheticals. They just outlined their new policy. You don't make new policies for something you're not doing anymore.
We don't know if "One Piece" wiil be back on though. "FMA:B" may still be on Hulu, but "One Piece" isn't.
Joost completely removed their One Piece section now, just like Hulu.
I don't like the sound of that. =(

Well they took off all the episodes so there was no point of leaving the section up. Anyway that's what pisses me off the most about this scenario; I could understand if Toei Animation doesn't want "One Piece" on FUNimation's video portal. but Hulu and Joost have no security problems so they just overreacted.

Hopefully this is only temporary, and everything will be back to normal in the near future. Because that would suck that they axed One Piece just because one company could not handle back room security in their own IT department.
"As anime fans know, FUNimation Entertainment planned under the authorization of Toei Animation, Fuji Television, Shueisha for the first ever online simulcast of the series ‘One Piece’ tonight at 9:00 pm CDT., just one hour after its premiere on Japan’s Fuji Television. Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours we have determined that the FUNimation servers were compromised, even though we employ strict security standards. An unknown individual accessed and posted episode 403 online and as a direct result of this illegal act, all U.S. and Canadian fans will be deprived of access to this great anime series for the immediate future. We will use the full extent of our efforts to locate and prosecute the perpetrators and will provide updates in this most serious matter."
this is on onepieceofficial.com,when you click on "videos" to view the new episode sub from Japan. So this practically says, "if you want to see One Piece, you're screwed until further notice because some *** posted episode 403 illegally. have a nice day.":getlost:
well this is pleasant (hint hint sarcasm). so putting it lightly, we're screwed!:cwy:(until further notice)
i wonder if they're really trying to find whoever did it, or just blowing OP off. well let's hope for the best.
Joost completely removed their One Piece section now, just like Hulu.

….
UGH.........
@Kairouseki:
Lol, we've been talking about this for the past week or so .
Hey, if people feel that it warrants discussion, then they'll just keep on discussing until a solid answer is released.

Well, to me, them keeping the section up there was a little glimmer of hope that maybe it was just temporary. The fact that they just flat out deleted it within the last few days makes me worry… Why would they delete it now if they were just going to take the section down from the beginning?
But I might be worrying too much. Just going by what little bit of "information" we're getting.
firecrouch suggested called Toei's US office to let Toei know that you want the simulcast to continue.
Here's a link to think number:

I will be calling them as soon as I can tomorrow
I find this guy to be funny and sorta true about what he says about the simulcast:

Agreed. His commentary's pretty funny. Hopefully he's wrong about the simulcast being gone for good. I'm trying to stay positive.
Yea shit and shit. Man this shit sucks shit. I hope that One Piece n shit, can go back to its normal shit. Yo!
lol, I feel like Funi gave up. Idk it's just me though.
lol, I feel like Funi gave up. Idk it's just me though.
No, you just want Funi to give up because you don't want your fansub to be trumped to by the official simulcast. You've been on the of the "lol fansubs rule" people this whole time and aren't you the guy in charge of ACDF or something fansubs?
