Theory time: I wouldn't be surprised if Teach came to free Shiryu and make him part of his crew (remember that Lafitte was also said to be a extra violent lawman once). If Shiryu really would have eaten the Water Fruit as I expect then this could be one of the reasons for Teach's actions considering that he wants to gather DF users with uber abilities.

I now starting to think maybe the true reason oda removed the crew as he did, was so he could develop blackbeard instory instead of flashbacks

So much is going on at this moment:
Crew doing what they are doing
Luffy escaping
Wb vs MHQ
Now we got BB (whos probably wanting to strengthen his crew knowing both wb and MHQ will be weakened after this battle)

But i want to say to people, has anyone noticed how quickly BB and his crew got here?
Think about it, they were in MHQ parting with the other shichi and yet he's made it here so fast.

It maybe Oda hinting travelling from luffys location to MHQ isn't as long as we think, and if thats the case travelling from SA to MHQ is most definitly faster.

Now I know i keep saying this but, i still think luffy is going to get caught and with BB arrival this could definitly happen now
BB catches luffy
takes him to MHQ after he recruits a few others
Luffy has been announced to people in SA to being executed (that way sa know that u touch the nobles your gonna die)
Then as WB draws most of MHQ stronger forces aka admirals mihawk
SH come and save luffy and ace who knows maybe with a little help from Silver without having to fight major power people maybe a completed Kuma
They escape to SA and fishman island
While in fishman island resting (as luffy will be out cold after the day ends)
Oda can show the aftermath of the WB vs WG encounter

I no longer belive Oda will show this war
Maybe we'll see the death of WB by BB's hands

If ~~Bison~~ Shiryuu actually joins this would make the BB crew the most untouchable Piratecrew ever.
Only problem is that Shiryuu has this anti-pirate attitude going on. But who knows, maybe BB can persuade him?
I'm still expecting to get a glimpse on those legendary prisoners! Oda never mentions someone without a reason.
Maybe those guys are one of BB's motives to attack Impel Down.

might as well re-post my theory. blackbeard has betrayed the world government and went to impel down to both recruit pirates into his crew and also gather powerful pirates that want whitebeard dead. blackbeard got what he wanted and that is the marines fighting whitebeard. he has no reason to stick around and get damaged. all he has to do is let the marines and whitebeard destroy each other and after they are both very weak blackbeard will enter marineford and take down the weakened whitebeard with the help of his crew and the other pirates against whitebeard.

don't know if he will take down the marines as well but it would be a perfect opportunity to do so as well. those freed pirates may want whitebeard dead but i bet they also want the world government and the marines destroyed just as much. wonder if dragon would then jump into the scene and help the pirates take out the remaining marine forces and possibly invade mariejoa while he is at it as well. would be cool to see dragon fight sengoku at mariejoa.

luffy and his crew will most likely head out right now to marineford while blackbeard stays behind at impel down and waits for the battle to start. luffy has to be on the front lines if he wants to save ace. so luffy will most likely end up aiding whitebeard in his battle against the marines so he can save ace. wonder if luffy will end up trying to save whitebeard once blackbeard and his crew enter the scene and try to finish things. or will iva take both luffy and ace away by force once ace is safe. iva only cares about dragon and his objectives so i don't think he would hesitate to take ace away even if wanted to stay and battle.

I do also think that Blackbeard might recruit Shiryuu since as far as i know he still has no swordsman to fight Zoro once both crews will clash (and its inevitable). Dunno whether he is going to recruit more though. Plus i agree that BB most likely has all the information he needs from the WG so that he can betray them like he did. Also i think he planned this because the WG needs all Shichibukai in order to subdue WB so if one betrays them in the last moment they will undoubtly be weakened not to mention the whole ID incident plays in his cards as well.

I can already see it end with a close win for WB in the war due to all this things only to be killed by BB shortly afterwards giving BB a huge boost in fame/infamy and bringing him a good deal closer to being the pirate King.

What was he supposed to do after finishing Ace? Maybe for him the war is just a bonus, the weakening of Newgates Armada and the Marines. But now that he owns the Shichibukai title, he can finally process with his plan. And it seems like his intention of becoming a Shichibukai was the legal usage of the special current between ID, EL and MHQ. He has something to do at Impel Down, infiltrating it like Luffy did was impossible for him since there was no friendly other Shichibukai and a Marine ship within range. Surely he could just sail across the Calm Belt, eliminating every single monster on his way, rushing into Impel Down, sucking in every jailor like he is doing right now. But then taking the title would make no sense or I'm missing it.

But with all that random awesome shit happening right now, it will be hard for Oda to blow our mind/impress us in the future arcs (new world).
Maybe that's also a fear of those users who say that Oda writes himself into a dead end.
But I also fear that Oda's next arc(s) just couldn't be that WTF as THIS arc.
The end or Raftel arc again will be mega-awesome, I'm sure. Luffy caused so much trouble yet, let aside that big incident bigass war:

In that case Flamingos vision of this era comes true and all the greatest pirates are fighting for OP without any marines.
Back to the war:
The only person missing is Dragon. We heard hardly from him. Well, he's not a good father and he doesn't like small talk about private things. That's what I took about him in this arc.
BTW: Is Saldeath playing flute with his trident to command the Blugori? Seems like he's holding that trident like a flute.

i think he originally planned to gain power in the new world and gather more powerful allies and since he is a shichibukai the world government would back him in a war against whitebeard later in the future. this war forced blackbeard to do something drastic and that is attacking impel down and abandoning the world government. things might not have gone down as he originally envisioned but everything is still in his favor.

he no longer needs to ally himself with the world government since whitebeard is coming into their territory to fight and once that starts it won't stop. he doesn't need to be around from the beginning of the war he only needs to be there at the end to finish it.

he probably infiltrated impel down to recruit some powerful pirates into his crew and also gather like minded allies who want whitebeard dead. blackbeard abandoning the marines and jimbei being against them and also probably hancock is gonna severely weaken the marines. hell the other shichibukai might end up abandoning the battle once they see things going bad or even saying screw this once they see whitebeard coming. after all they don't have any real reason to fight. doflamingo might even do something similar as blackbeard and bail at the start and try and re-enter at the end to finish off whitebeard.

a good introduction and now we only see him agonizing about things that are happeneing, and It was stated in One piece yellow he fought with Gol D Roger with Garp... I hope one day Sengoku gets his time to shine...
