@ThunderEarthFire:
So what your saying is that magazine isn't taking breaks then? That's the idiocy I'm talking about here. The whole may be more than the some of its parts, but the whole still consists of those parts in order to make the sum. What this means is that when the magazine takes a break, so does the manga, even if they always take the same break everytime.
You're counting the magazine breaks. Then.. Naruto and Bleach are ALSO approaching their 5th breaks in 4 months.
Both of them have ALSO had breaks this year, (I'm pretty sure Naruto has had 2, and I don't follow Beach regularly) and will likely have another shortly after golden week. Its a cycle, they try to schedule it so as to not have the biggies all take breaks the same weeks. So if you start counting from the end of December-the start of May for those, instead of from the end of November-snd of April like you are for OP, it comes out the same.
Your the one saying 5 breaks in 4 months is a bad precedent… What about 5 breaks over 7 months, which is likely what it will ammount to after Golden Week? What about the number of breaks BEFORE December? All the other series, including To-Love-Ru and Naruto New Prince of Tennis will ALSO have the same number of breaks given the course of time. You're narrowing the window to a specific, planned annual occurance to make it sound worse than it actually is, is the point.
5 breaks in 4 months is a bit much... But when 2 of those are vacations for everyone, they shouldn't be counted. Oda had a streak before that, and will have a streak after that... it turns into 3 breaks over the course of 10 or 11 months. Your making a negative example by using an extremely limited and specific window to create your number with. That's the difference.
