Have you been doing side missions? Loyalty/recruiting/main missions are what give you the big bucks, but assuming you do enough side stuff there should be just enough resources/money in the game to afford the important upgrades. If you do a replay with your imported ME2 character you'll start the game with bonus resources too.
Mass Effect 2 (Teaser Trailer)

Love your tag line Firesage.
-
Well there is a new DLC coming out adding more missions and a new ship to use on the planets to do new missions.
It's free to people who have the Cerburus network.

A few Details concerning the next DLC
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6253963.html?tag=latestheadlines;title;2http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3178424
I'm interested in the Hammerhead Missions but I could care less about another crew mate. You already have a bunch, plus unlike Zaeed, you have to pay for this new one. Charging for the new character seems silly considering you got the same thing for free before and even more so when they are giving you more free DLC right before this.
-
Yeah, I mean, while I wouldn't mind using her and seeing if her mission offers anything cool, I'm skeptical about how much character she'll actually have. I'll still get it, Mass Effect whore that I am.
-
Played through Firewalker…good thing it's free,a little fun but mostly disappointing. The Hammerhead is easy to use, controls feel fine but most of the missions felt stale. I was also hoping for a least one part where I got to leave the Vehicle behind to go fight some guys on foot. Nope, I get to leave to walk to a switch…
I guess the next question is if the Hammerhead will be used in future DLC because if not it will have been a wasted effort. -

If she as any dialogue that's not automated she'll be better in that regard compared to Zaeed.

Brother bought this brand new from a shop yesterday. Came to play it today to find that there was no code for the online dlc.
Um. What do we do? Do you get the code with the game and we should take it back? Or is it elsewhere?
-
If you bought it new it's supposed to come with the game otherwise you'll have to pay 15 dollars to download it from Live.
-
Just finished Mass Effect 2.
Around 90% Renegade, 60% Paragon with my female character.

I love being a bitch.
(Also plays a male Shepherd that's 100% Paragon.) -

Thought as much.
Looks like we'll be returning it on Monday. Bloody rips. Not the first time we've payed for a brand new game and been given a pre-owned one from that store.

PS3 fans, rejoice! An ME2 port is coming to your Playstation!
But Satsuki, you say. What's the point of playing ME2 if we dont' have ME1 so we can make a character/choices to transfer over and reap the benefits of choice?
Not to worry! Bioware is including an "interactive comic" on the disc, which will allow the player to experience ME1 and make all the major decisions that can transfer from game to game. Oh, and also ALL THE DLC CONTENT.
WOO-HOO!!!!!!!

http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/5188310I knew about the game coming to PS3, but i did not know about being able to make the choices from the first game.
That sounds awesome. I'm really anticipating this now.

-
I'm hyped for that game. Sure, I would have prefered to have both Mass Effect on PS3 but better having that interactive comic than nothing. Day one for me, obviously.
-
Seeing as this thread's been bumped recently, I figure that I might as well ask. Given that players got to extend the relationship with Liara beyond what little there was in the main game through DLC, does anyone think that future DLC will feature the Virmire survivor and Wrex in an attempt to tie into the third game and let players reunite with the old squadmates, or do you think that their stories will just be saved for the third game itself?
-
I hope we get a DLC that helps us patch Shepard's relationship with Kaidan/Ashley. As for Wrex, given his huge ambition, I'm betting they'd leave that for Mass Effect 3.
-
I was under the impression the reason Kaidan/Ashley douche out in the sequel was just a way to get them gone, since they are hated as fuck.
-
Kaidan hate? I don't see any. Not among Bioware fangirls, anyway.
-
Bioware fangirls are crazy
Sensitive and emotional tough guy marine ewwwwwwww
There isn't some crazy subset of Ashley lovers I don't know about too is there
If there is my world has fallen apart
-

I'm pretty sure Kaidan's not that well liked around there. I think they're all about Garrus and maybe Thane. It's Jacob who's REALLY hated. The most popluar male out of all of Bioware's games is probably Alistair.
-
Thane is my favorite and I romanced the ever-loving life out of him.
-

Huh. Well, I've seen plenty of them. Maybe they just congregate around the Alistair threads/groups. And from what I've seen, I don't hate Jacob. He's just . . . . . boring. If we're talking romance, anyway.
And yeah, I would say that Alistair is the most beloved out of all the Bioware romancable males. There are VERY few girls who don't love him to death.
There was even a post about it on the DA blog, asking girls why they love Alistair so much.
http://greywardens.com/2010/06/so-how-much-and-why-do-you-love-alistair/#more-8188Guys wonder why we love Alistair, to which I say, "Well, why do you love Tali?" Tali is mega-popular amongst ME fans, and she's the one who's kinda shy and awkward when it comes to romance. Same thing for Alistair.
-
Gueta may have been referring to the PS3 port being old news, and not the game itself being old. In which case, it is.

Well, I think the port's old news, but the details itself is new like the interactive comic.
-
I didn't know people hated Kaidan. If anything, Ashley was the one to really annoy me. Kaidan was probably the party pooper of the group, but at least it seemed to be because he was probably the most straight forward army guy of the group.
Tried to replay both my ParagonMale and RenegadeFemale files on my 360 on the most difficult levels (plus I didn't want the Cerberus crew to die…heh heh...time limit, who knew?), but then I got the red ring of death.
NNNOOOOOO!!! I WANT TO SHOCK AND KILL PEOPLE AGAIN!!
Oh, and Romance Tali in the male profile (when I found out that I could do that in 2, I knew Ashley had to go. Only the best for him.) -
See? Guys love Tali.
And yes, the port itself wasn't news, but the whole "interactive comic" thing was.

I, too, romanced Tali, so yeah. Must be the hips…or y'know, the personality. :ninja:
I also did two playthroughs in Dragon Age and romanced Morrigan and Alistair. I found it funny how Morrigan invites you to bed at 50% influence, and it takes a full 100% for Alistair to do so.
-
I don't get the whole Tali thing, and I'm a guy.
The female romancing choices in ME and ME2 are not that great at all.
-
Hahaha. Yeah, I'm a huge Quarian fan too. And yes, the Bioware fangirls did go a little gaga over finally seeing male Quarians in ME2. You talk about hips, but for males, it's the shoulders. Just look at ole Kal'Reegar here:
QK3LWYshauE
And is it so surprising with Alistair being so shy and awkward? (and adorable?)
Silence: You don't like Liara?
-
I went for Jack because I was hoping for an S&M scene at the bottom of the Normandy, but sometimes you just can't have it all. I'd be more into Tali but that meme of her having Wrex's face ruined things for me.
I can't remember a single thing Kaidan said.
-
Dear lord, there's a meme of Tali with Wrex's face!? That's just wrong.
Seriously though, if they don't show us what Quarians really look like in Mass Effect 3, I'm suing.
-
I think this is the one.
!

Liara? Oh CHRIST no. She honestly scared me a bit. She was so determined to get in your pants it was a little frightening. I like my blue aliens as much as the next guy, but the asari in general, tbh, always kind of struck me as the stereotypical space whores of the galaxy, and my opinion of them is not high. Now there are individual ones that are pretty cool (like Samarra) thanks to their personality, but Liara was not one of them.

I romanced Liara in the first game though I can definitely see why people wouldn't like her which is basically what Silence said. I haven't played the new dlc either. I also appreciated Kaidan for being the only 'normal' guy on the crew.

I remember there being a thread dedicated to putting whatever you can think of in front of Tali's helmet. Also, if they don't show a Quarian's face in Mass Effect 3, the Bioware thread'll have to close their threads from complaints. I'm already surprised they didn't show Tali's face when you're romancing her.

It made me feel a little bad, to be honest. If they don't show her face in the third game, it would be on purpose.
As always, when I talk about Mass Effect, I put up my favorite Renegade moments (one big plus for Mass Effect is that your 'evil choices' aren't stupidly, over-the-top evil, making you more of an anti-hero than a villain):

Hey! It even looks like my female character!
A couple of times I did regret interrupting. I want to do the full interview instead of punching the reporter next time.[/hide]
