Hate? Ok, I can accept if he really annoys the hell out of you but the feeling of Hate is very strong.
It is restricted to the major baddies only. You can hate a Spandam or a Tenryubito, but you cannot hate a Hatchan. There's not much he did to deserve it.
No because he is an anomaly…....he seems to be some random character with no real use, that just gets in the way and isn't worthy for the screen time he gets.
the first time we see him he is just there as a random opponent for zoro to fight, then he shows up later with a complete different change of heart and expects to be forgiven for his atrocities, despite his kindness towards nami, he still stood by and watched what happened to the village, either he is evil or spineless, neither go in my good book
he doesn't deserve to be in this, he should be in prison with the rest of them.
and then there's the character drawing itself, and the speech and mannerisms, everything about this character i dislike and therefore have developed a hatred.....
now you say spandam, but he was important, he carried on the will and legacy of his father, he was the one responsible for what happened to robin, without the actions he took the crew would have never united as they did and became stronger, he was the crucial person responsible to let the characters develop and become greater, even after enies lobby he is being used to generate a later plot involved with the new pirates cp9
despite his evil intentions, he is one of those people used to make great arcs, he is a great villain, that arc transcended one piece to something greater because of the domino effects created by his actions.
for me spandam is important to the plot, hatchan isn't....
