hmmm heres what i think happened:
Sanji got injured dureing the calipha fight. but that bathtub then washed his blood away after he stopped bleeding.. and then he got all excited again and as his blood pressure rose his wound started bleeding again.like Kururin during the fight against that kickboxer vampire that bit him in the head.

Okay Luffy hit Bellamy on the right side of his face... with his right fist. Bellamy was spinning when he got hit so he had to have been upside down when Luffy hit him, right?

here he is upside down proving that's when Luffy hit him. The placement of his arm gives this away…
so why is he right side up here? (you can tell by his feet)

Going by general shounen anime logic, Bellamy could have bounced and spun in air, landing on his back.
But then again, this is Toei Animation. They're well known for doing all sorts of animation flubs dating back to even Dragon Ball.

Hmmm. I think he is facing downwards into the ground in both the second and third pics. You say he's facing upwards in the second because of his arm… but his knees are bending upwards and jeez that would hurt if they were bending forwards. Also it is possible that he could have his arm like that with the elbow facing upwards if he himself were facing downwards BUT if I'm right and he is facing downwards, they've drawn his hand on backwards. xD If the arm is at a position like that, the thumb should be pointing down towards the body, not up towards the head.
The rest of that is just screwy though. Bellamy got hit on his right cheek but if he was facing downwards, according to Luffy's swing he should've got hit on his right cheek. And then he keeps switching how he's lying. So yeah, there's definitely inconsistancy there.

I don't see any inconsistency. I put my finger on the right side of my head for reference, and pose in my mind, and it makes perfect sense to me. In the second picture, his arm is turned, but that's about all that sticks out to me.

I agree with Zulen.
Only thing weird looking is when you see only his head, it looks like he's on his back there. It looks like he's face down everywhere else though.

Hey Quex, in the second pic, he's actually on his stomach, as you can tell from his knees. his arm is just rotated around so that his palms are facing downward. try it yourself ^_^

If you mean the first pannel, guess again. Look at the black underneath the first character of the sound effect. Lucci still has his pants.

In the original page (with Japanese characters, found at AP forum) I see no problem with Lucci's pants..But when I read my translated OP manga (in Indonesian), the huge-japanese-characters gone and Lucci doesn't wear pants. I swear.. I'll scan the page soon..
