Naruto Shippuden is coming to America pretty soon. Who knows, maybe CN will celebrate by putting up a bunch of new shows and new episodes of old ones, like One Piece.

It would seem more likely that One Piece would return for Shippuden due to Naruto losing it's second episode. But, that's If Toonami can afford not having a second time slot for Naruto.
… and, I hope Naruto doesn't get better in ratings once Shippuden comes along, but that's unlikely, considering Ben 10 jumped immensely in ratings when Alien Force came out.

If the show wasn't getting the ratings they wanted then they had reason enough to remove it, that's how TV channels work.

They gave it a 26 episode run. Ratings kept getting better. FUNi used the Toonami block for advertising. Toonami removes One Piece from their block.
It makes absolutely no sense, it just seems that all they wanted was consistency (with 4kids), and FUNi wasn't willing to give that. -
CN makes the schedules for Toonami. William's Street no longer has the influence over Toonami it once had.

Speculation: 1.) New title acquisition; 2.) Bringing back an old title (One Piece hopefully), or any other cool show they used to have; 3.) Extension of the block due to #1 and 2; 4.) ...um, not sure what else.

It's ratings were awful. But so were every other show on Saturday nights. The night's ratings have been shit for a long time now. It hasn't gotten consistently good ratings since FMA ended.

Uh here's the thing AS has a habit of rerunning popular animes on their block even if they completed their run already even if they were to put OP on that block (which I don't know if your suggesting or not) it's ratings wouldn't be all that good.

All I'm saying is that other shows have been taken off of [adult swim] and return after a little while because of a constantly changing schedule, "Shin-Chan" couldn't have done more badly than the rest of the Saturday lineup that it's been taken off permanently, I mean it's still playing on Adult Swim Fix.
