Ugh, my sinuses are killing me.
I've always been unnaturally prone to getting sinusitis and I've had more if those than I can count. So many that several different antibiotics have stopped working just due to excessive consumption. I've even had a surgery for them once that was supposed to make new holes for all the bacteria and pus to come out. It's been years since those extra holes ceased to exist, though, and with them gone, the nuisance of having sinusitis every once in a while returned. Without a doubt I should have them checked again and probably get another surgery for them, but I'm not quite comfortable with that thought. That's something I don't want to do, if I don't have to. I was hoping maturing would somehow solve the issue and reduce the number of the irritating illnesses a year, and it actually seemed to help. The last two years went without having to suffer from them notably.
But now it seems to have returned. There's been an infection in my left sinus for some three months now, but I've been too lazy to do anything about it. In the beginning, I hoped it was only swelling, caused by hay allergies and such, but I think I always knew better. The darned sickness has only gotten worse with time and there hasn't been a day this august my body temperature wouldn't have been over 37 and I wouldn't have been extremely fatigued and absent-minded. Bored of all this, I got myself some strong antibiotics from a friend doctor of mine - something I should have done weeks ago - and tried tending my sore nose by pouring warm, salty water in from one nostril and letting it come out from the other. Both of them help, but not as much and as fast as I'd like them to.
It hurts and I'm tired. Take my advice folks: if you ever get, or even doubt that you might have sinusitis, go see the doctor and make sure you get yourself something that should cure it. This sucks. Hard.
