That was a cool fighting chapter. Other than the killing people, Agaard really seems like a nice guy. If/when Kenichi becomes friends with Tirawit, maybe it won't seem so crazy or convoluted given Agaard was his disciple.
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
-
-
I have a bad feeling for Apachai. I hope I'm wrong.
-
This fight is so good. Matsuena does double team fights so well.
-
It was nice to see kenichi fight side by side with his master. i love this fight
-
The first truly good double team fight against the Yami. I'm impressed. Only if it wouldn't end after the next two chapters.
-
Agaard is a strange guy helping out Keneichi like that. He's also very wise and insightful too. I like him. Probably my favorite Yami member right now even though he's such a blood thirsty killer. Kick his ass Apachai!
Defend your masters' martial arts Kenechi!
-
Anything besides the fights in the series I usually ignore, but man when the do fights start, I'm all ears.
-
I love the fight between kenichi and koukin. Kenichi needs to trains with shigure more. here technique saved his ass.
-
Is that Master tier list still around?
I'd have to bump apachai up to probably just below the elder. After his superman antics in that one chapter, and this fight.
-
hopy shit, did you see that one multi-knee-to-the-face technique?
I think even I felt that a little, and I was just reading it…
great chapter, needless to say, ;)
-
Appachi is kicking some ass and he's doing it smoothly! Go Appachi go! Damn these guys are monsters!
-
I was surprized that it came out so early this week. almost at ch 400. maybe something special will happen next chapter. kenichi gets a kiss from miu
also loved that they had some apachai action in here to.
-
Maybe Kenichi will win his fight in chapter 400.
-
Wohooo… I like the color pages... XD

Chapter 399: http://mangastream.com/read/hsdk/96767834/1
Mangastream is once again doing this series.
I finally caught up after being behind about 6-7 chapters. I loved Apachai's back story and both of these fights have to be the best I've seen in a while.
Anyone find it epic that Apachai raised a fucking tiger like it was a house cat?
-
It's strange, you'd think Agaard's eyes would be emitting the red sinister glow of fighting spirit and and Apachai's eyes would be emitting the blue purer light of fighting spirit. Guess it doesn't matter. Man, there's not really much to talk about besides how cool the fights look in this manga.
Or when do people think Keneichi will reach that first level of master class.
-
Maybe the second season of the anime will be announced on the 400th chapter. :ninja:
-
please let that be. I need more fights like kenichi vs shou
-
I meant to write 400th chapter.
There's a good chance, although they may just be waiting until the manga finishes, or at least until everything with Yami is wrapped up. The anime was successful, as they keep talking about good sales from the DVDs, so I expect another season at some point.
-
Ok I just got to where Kenichi whooped Jihans ass during the winter storm. I'll be at the 200 mark soon Huzzah

! I had a feeling something like this would happen, but it still came as a surprise.

What the…
! Well this is HSDK we are talking about. I am sure there is some technique to revive him.
I hope… -
was not expecting that outcome
-

! Well this is HSDK we are talking about. I am sure there is some technique to revive him.
I hope…Let's hope so but this is why HSDK is my second favorite series right now.
-
I don't know about their being a technique…
! Not a technique to revive him at least. Not back from the dead. He won't die anyway. He has a strong spirit and body, he'll live. Keneichi still has much to learn from Appa and he's my favorite master!!!
! From the looks of it he just got fisted in the left side of his chest right below his heart. Deadly to any normal human being but no one from that dojo is normal. :P I bet with he'll stand right back up next chapter and finish Agaard off if he doesn't collapse from the hit Apachai already delivered. Agaard shouldn't leave Apacahi alive in this match because his whole purpose for raising Apachai was to have someone strong enough to fight equally with one day in the arts of Muy Thai and to kill that person. Like a test of strength and Apachai was his choice. Apachai has to win or else he's dead. And he can't die…
! Oh, and Keneichi is about to kick some ass!!! A great chapter that was. -
Well having all the masters say Apachi's name ominously and Honoko waking up doesn't help the situation.
-
It was foreshadowed in chapter 371. The master of the disciple was killed by kensei and now the disciple wants revenge for that.
At least we have foreshadowing and not a bad series with a evil character that is throwing a plot device at your face at the last second to keep the series running.
-
Psh. I'll believe it when I see the coffin.
-
Holy shit this chapter was awesome!
…but Shigure's thong kind of took me out of the moment. I laughed and said to myself "isn't your ass cold? That saddle seems to be made of metal or something." So what happened next really surprised me, but for the wrong reasons. I went from taking this manga jokingly to realizing that we're at a pivotal moment of the series. I feel cheated.
Damn fanservice! Miu is not a 16 year old girl no matter how many times you tell me. She's a twenty something gymnast who got too fat to stay on the team. Also, a "pure, innocent girl," wouldn't cut holes in an already skintight outfit. Yes, this is where I can't suspend my disbelief.
I hope Apachi lives somehow. I'm all ready for a completely implausible revival please!
-

True, but Honoko was having a good dream about him, nothing like a nightmare foreshadowing death or a bleak future. I can see if a tea cup broke or someone dropped some dishes the moment he was punched in the chest. Apparently that'd be bad, I don't know why.
Also the masters just noted Apachai's ki and life force with curious faces. Nothing of extreme worry or surprise indicating that he would be dead.

! Dammit!!! Say it isn't so!!! I'll wait for a coffin too.
-
man this shit suprized me. apachai isn't the type to kill anyone no matter what but I don't know after this. If it does happen you can be sure kokin is going to get the holy crap beat out of him next chapter
-
-
hopy shit. this was unexpected.
I sure hope appachai pulls through!
either way, kenichi is 'bout to beat some ass…
-
the only thing i'm iffy about this "DEATH" is that if Apachi dies, then Kenichi has no teacher in that style. I mean he hasn't mastered it yet, so then it kind of seems like we lose one aspect that was going on. Where kenichi masters all 7 forms or whatever the # of teachers is and through it becomes something insane new form.
-
Apachai…........no it can't be.
-
Oh God…
! Let's be realistic here. A master dying has been foreshadowed since Tanaka. The fact that it might be Apachai makes it all the more brutal given how child-like and innocent he is but it has been foreshadowed when Apachai first mention Aagard way back when. And it WOULD be a master-stroke of a twist especially with the huge effects it would have on Apachai's fellow masters, the fight against Yomi/Yami, and especially Kenichi and his resolve.
! With that said, I don't give a fuck about story. I want Apachai to LIVE!!! He's too fucking awesome and sweet T___________T -
This also seems to mark the first time ever that one of Kenichi's masters have lost. Crazy stuff, I didn't think it was ever going to happen.
-
! I have a theory why Apachai lost. Koukin said that whenever the style of whomever does that dance thing is identical, the fight should be suspended. This is probably because using the same style would result in both combatants deaths instead of different styles which would be up in the air. Aagard and Apachai went through with the fight anyway however Aagard had the supreme advantage of being able to go for the efficient kill strike which the conditions of the fight demanded while Apachai tried less effective non-lethal hits in vain. So what should have been a draw ended in Apachai's loss because of his style which kinda sucks really…
! Still hope Apachai survives. -
! I'm not entirely sure if I should sob and cry "Noo Apachaiii T_T" or yell "Fuck yeah Apachai died" happily. Even being on the bottom of my 'masters-list', he still was a great character and just outright lovable. Interacting with Honoko, other children and animals. Yet still, his death would raise this manga to a whole new level, guaranteing some more intense training and better attitude for Kenichi. It'd be a dickmove to revive him with some Deus Ex Machina technique.

! I agree however unlike another certain manga with a similar method of death, Apachai's situation still has some reasonable way outs. Apachai's life fist method and history with his combatant could have softened up Aagard to the point that he didn't target a lethal blow (that would require some very tricky execution) or maybe Aagard let him live so he could get even stronger (that would be fine as for him watching Apachai grow is an established character point and it would even hype up an even crazier future battle at the end of the series) or maybe the wound just isn't lethal (the wound was way more ambiguous looking that an entire fist spanning the chest as seen in another manga). Regardless of whether Apachai will live or die, he definitely isn't dead FOR NOW. Assuming he dies, he needs to give a final speech or something.
! …
! Still hope Apachai survives, story be damned. -
! Dunno about Apachai dying or not, but I'm not entirely sure on Aagard winning yet. There was that whole "opponent dying after the match" thing that Aagard did in the flashback. It was a fairly shocking moment… I'm thinking Apachai might have pulled off a similar move. Without the whole killing thing of course.
! It'd suit the situation with the passing on moves that's been going on this fight as well. -
Chapter is up at Mangastream… just... I have no words...
This is at same time so amazing but so damn WRONG and heartbreaking...why it has to be Apachai of all the charecters?
-

-
! There may be an out. Checking the pages, the punch went through his left midsection, and may have avoided his lungs. I'm not saying he survived, because I had a bad feeling ever since Apachai said he'd die for Kenichi, but I wont be completely surprised should he survive.
-
! I think it might be a possible draw. It was shown that apachai got a hit on Asgard's back/shoulder area before he passed out. Maybe it will be a double KO?

! Come to think of it wouldn't it be totally awesome if Apachai survives by using the technique that moves your organs because Sasaki taught it to him? That would be another good, non-deus ex out. Apachai survives because his fighting style gave him a lot of friends with interesting techniques.

! Still hope Apachai survives, story be damned.Nah, Agaard wouldn't let him live. This is their moment, their match. Agaard has been building up Apachai and patiently waiting for this fight and he even said Apachai was finally ready. If Agaard wins he'll have won fair and square and finish off Apachai. Not spare his life so he can train some more. He waited long enough.
