I don't really think that a short series is a weakness though, not if you're more orientated on the quality of your story over how much money your series is pulling in. If you're trying to show the readers something interesting, sometimes its better to show it the way you wanted it to be shown, rather then dragging it out and losing the stories momentum and impact.

RE: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
@RobbyBevard:
Yeah, the first series we came in after the massive corrupt invasion had gone through. This time we're around for the start of it. Makes it very different.
I get the feeling that Amon is going to be a think tank sort of villain rather then just a strong fighter. Controlling the situation and outmaneuvering the heroes is more the vibe I get from him, although I can only guess he'll have some sort of chi abilities as well. I think a villain like that though will be a good foil to Korra, the impulsive type who jumps into a situation without thinking about it. She'll have to learn patience and think before she acts if she's going to be able to stand toe to toe with Amon. At least that's how I imagine its going to play out atm.

RE: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
Nay, the "Books" follow which element the Avatar had to master. Thus, we had Water, Earth, and Fire respectively.
The conundrum here is that Korra has only to master Air. Now either this Book goes beyond the 20-episode quota or else this looks to be a one-season show :(
Calling it, book 2 Metal.

So then they could be concidered "clinical"? What exactly are you saying here?
They have love sickness. >_>

RE: Naruto and Bleach II: I don't have the heart to care anymore.
It's why Naruto has been lame since the Pein Arc. If all of the characters that Pein killed had actually stayed dead, then I think everyone would be enjoying this series so much more.

RE: Chapter 660: Royal Shichibukai Trafalgar Law
My prediction so far:
- Punk Hazard was a Mystical Animal island that was subject to poison by Vegapunk's experiments.
- The level 6 convicts escaped to Punk Hazard at some point, Ao Kiji and Akainu pursued, Ao Kiji froze the convicts and then proceeded to butt heads with Akainu.
- For whatever reason Trafalgar Law has joined the Shichibukai, its definitely not pro Marines whatsoever.
- The masked Satyrs are either not in league with Trafalgar Law, or the gas-figure we've seen in previous chapters is working with Law while keeping secrets from him. (For instance the capturing of part of the Straw Hat pirate crew.)
- I highly doubt that the 99 hearts Law captured were from the frozen bodies.
- The kids are from Elbaf in some way or another. As to why Elbafian kids and Samurai boys are being abducted, I have no idea.

RE: Bakuman
Yeah, I think the problem everyone is having there is that they only mentioned the heroine during the creation stages of Reversi, people still have yet to see anything about her in the actual story though.

RE: Bakuman
I don't think its dickish at all, if anything, it's a smart move on Eiji's part if he wants to beat Reversi. It's been established already in the series that the manga that become animated get a popularity boost. The moment Eiji heard that Reversi could be getting an anime, he realized that either he could sit there and let his opponents get a significant advantage over him, or he could try to take it for himself.
On another note, it's bothering me that Takagi and Mashiro seriously can't think up anything else for Reversi. From what we learned of the Reversi story so far, both protagonists have received powers from demons. Even if the conflict between Schwarz and Weiss finishes, couldn't they just make the demons into antagonists? They said that the demons goal in this story was to deceive the both of them so that they could secretly control them in the background in the hopes of taking over the world. That's not a bad direction to go in. Better yet, have the demons take back their powers and have Weiss have to figure out a way to defeat them as a normal human. This absolute writers block thing seems a little silly to me, there's always some way to improve a story. Saying the story is perfect already is a little prideful.

RE: Naruto and Bleach: Let's put this thread to bed I
But isn't there a better way to be the straight man than "I'm going to explain what the joke was there, with a mortified expression!"
I'd say that depends on whether the joke hinges on that sort of reaction or not, in a lot of situations I'm sure a simple "What the Hell?!?" would suffice.

The Rock Lee manga is somehow more awesome then the manga that inspired it, that's all there is too it.
