Sorry, we do not condone the uploading or streaming (unless Funimation uploads it themselves, mind you) of FUNimation's material that WE paid for here. If you care that much, you'd care to support the series and purchase it. If not, then search elsewhere.

Yea I watched the podcast… it was awesome. I want to buy it, but its not easy finding it here... and I dont have a credit card to purchase with online. But when I do I was planning on buying it :)
Although, I was planning on waiting for the full seasons releases... would that be a good idea?

I hope so!! In the mean time I will keep searching for the DVD's here. Since it may be under 30$ in the states, its almost 50 in Canada (Amazon and best buy).

Most likely they will include the commentary if the full series DVDs of Ouran is any sign. I was looking at the trailers there and they had one for One Piece but for Season 1, Third Voyage on it. I think Funi just place the data or whatever it is called of the dvds from the original track, added a few things then shipped them out. So if they do 26 episodes sets of past DVD set then most likely. Though personally I wouldn't wait for them but that is just me.
EDIT: I am guessing Right Stuf doesn't ship to Canada because I remember they have them there pretty cheap if I remember.
Status: Stuff stuff. Been too lazy to update this space.

Well, that's the first I heard of this. That's interesting to know. I thought they'd bide their time a little longer for when it came to releasing 26 episode sets.

So yeah Navarre wants to sell off Funimation.
I see this situation as being basically like what just happened to Marvel.
Disney bought Marvel, they own it now, it's a subsidiary of Disney.
When it happened, there was some question as to what would go down at Marvel after the change.
Absolutely nothing changed whatsoever.
If you read comics every week, you wouldn't even notice. Paramount Pictures even stayed the distributor for Iron Man 2. (Though there is word that that might change in the future)The ONLY noticeable difference is that there is now more Marvel merch in Disney stores and theme parks. That's it.
Even if FUNi were forced to go back to being their own company (as Firecrouch said, this isn't happening) they'd be fine I think.
Viz buying FUNimation is just not gonna happen, plain and simple.
The only one of those crazy theories that has even a shred of possibility (And I mean like less than 1%) is a previously existing Japanese Anime company buying them and then turning FUNi into their American Division.
But even then, we'd see absolutely no changes. We wouldn't even see them start to prefer that companies' Anime (though they would begin to get all of them)Geneon was a Japanese Anime producer as well, but they still got other properties.

Err, no. On Disney XD, pretty much everything on that channel is just a marvel cartoon. While the Marvel fans are jizzing all over this, it is annoying as Fuck for us who actually liked their other cartoons.

They canceled the second season of Wolverine and the Xmen so they could make their own knockoff. Me and the Mrs were not pleased by this, no we were not.

If U notice Disney XD was showing the Saban era Marvel cartoons before the buyout, which Disney had the rights for since the late 90's.
oh, and yeah, Wolverine and the X-men season 2 was cancelled cuz of finance problems. At C2E2, the Marvel animation panel consisting of Joe Quesada, Arune Singh, and Josh Fine stated that the reason for the cancellation is because they were unable to work out the financing for the show with their financing partner.
which was a shame cuz I was at Comic-con last year when they reveal wolverine and X-men season 2 teaser art.

I just hope Funi stays on it's own, and 4kids buying Funi haha funny 4kids is gonig for broke anyways Funi could buy them out (They do have alot of good VAs there it would added variety to Funi's VAs) but they're better on their own IMO

wow…this thread is almost over. I know is not something special, but someone should post the best moments in this thread before we move to the new one.
Btw, I managed to pre-order both First and Second Voyage of Season 3 on RightStuff with the FUNi Sale, and with the got Anime membership I got them both for $26.99 :P I had them pre-ordered before but I asked RighStuf if they could cancel the order so that I could order it again with the FUNi sale, and man did I save some money there.

Well, the thread's finally done. And I actually read every last page of it, and every last post in it.
But this begs the question…when FUNi did the second opening, would you have preferred them to use the LOLITA version (lookup Believe in english) or make their own?
