Arlong Park needs more Hip Hop. So here we discuss the greatness of Hip Hop.

Starting from the small town of New York City and now having millions of fans worldwide and even more concerned parents still trying to abolish its existence, Hip Hop still stands as one of the most ever-changing (but sometimes fucked-up) genres out there.

Add Chamillionaire to Southern Rap too, the guy is quickly becoming one of the South's best and most versatile rappers. UGK as well and I hear Little Brother is pretty good too, but I've never heard any of their stuff.

I don't see Lupe or Kanye, two of the best rappers out there. Especially Lupe, The Cool is the best album I've heard in awhile, probably since Eminem's last album.

A lot of the "get money" rappers aren't that bad. Lil Wayne's actually pretty good. And I like Jeezy's flow, I still listen to "Go Crazy" all the time

^ Lupe is probably my favorite rapper to date. His style of writing and beats are completely my kind of music. He is one of the most diverse artists out there. As for Kanye, he's great too, but his cockiness gets the best of him way too much.Currently my top fav Mcs/rappers are….

I use to like Gangsta' Rap, but nowadays with 50 fucking Cent and Soulja Boy, I feel ashamed of even liking it in the 90's (Tupac, Nas, etc.).

Wayne was never a hype man. He's been rapping since he was about 14 and has many albums with about a bajillion mixtapes.

As for how he gained his status, the same way Jay Z did, by himself out there as the best. Soon, people started believing he was the greatest rapper ever. Neither of the the two are the greatest, but they know how to sell themselves.

I listen to very little hip hop, as I guess I don't find most of what I've heard particularly enjoyable to listen to, and am too entrenched in listening to older rock bands to find good hip hop artists. Outkast however, are incredibly awesome. I especially like Aquemini and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, as both of them have a really funky style that I really like. Love Hater, Prototype, and Rosa Parks are prolly my favorite songs from those albums.

K-os is also a hell of a good artist.

I'm not saying Lil Wayne is the greatest, but he's not terrible because he raps about money, and drugs and such. I don't know about these rappers lives, but some of them have actually gone through this stuff.

One rapper I'll never like is Rick Ross. He's a terrible rapper, and isn't even from Miami.

For my list I gotta go with

Young Jeezy really isn't that bad either. Sometimes people need to stop caring about what they're saying and listen to the music. I listen to rap for the "flow" and the beat. I could careless about diamonds, bitches and weed.

I remember seeing him in alot of Juvenile and other vids with the same "Drop Drop it like it's hot" one liner for the longest time. I knew he rapped, but it's kind of gay that so many people jump on his nuts now when no one gave a shit about him 2-3 years ago.

and I'm waiting for Outkast to make another "real" album. The movie soundtrack was lame as fuck.

ahhh I remember my hip-hop/rap days, lets see, i was obsessed with Kanye, Outkast, snoop dogg, Pharril (sp?) is awsome as a producer, Nelly, Chingy, the guys that sang "hate it or love it" very few Ludacris. I'm sure there's more, but then I changed my music preference to Rock. And Right now, I realize I listen to Spanish music more and more.

I tried and it sounded pretty decent. GTA IV's soundtrack inspired me to listen Russian hip hop, actually. I kinda like to listen hip hop in a none-english language, it's easier to digest that way for some reason. Probably because I have no idea what they rap about.
