I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is. There are basically three ways that "strength" has been measured on this board:

1.Who would win in a fair fight?
2.Who could bench press the most?
3.Who has defeated the strongest enemies to this point?

For number 1: Luffy will obviously win in a fight against anyone you might mention. He's the hero after all.

For number 2: It's almost impossible to argue considering that we haven't met any of the insanely physically strong characters that will come with the New World. However, of known characters I would argue that Jimbei or Odz could probably lift the heaviest object.

For number 3: Well, Whitebeard got his title for having beaten the strongest guys around.

Then again, it would seem some of you are simply arguing about who is the most "badass" character in the series using completely random subjective criteria and talking in circles. Oh well, enjoy that.

What the heck guys.

Whitebeard's title is "The Strongest Man Alive" and he's a pirate.

Well since Whitebeard was stated as the "Strongest Pirate" and he is the closest to becoming the pirate king, which to do so he would have to conquer the entire grandline. I will throw him my vote..

I think blackbeard is extremely close to WB. But I wont jump to any conclusions.

But aside from him
Shanks and the Other 2 Emperors. I mean come on they are upon the strongest pirates on the GL.
Mihawk.
Kaidou, if not an emperor.
I have the feeling that the unknown shicibukai is real strong, due to his delayed mention.

And aside from actual pirates, Dragon, Sengoku, WG old guys.

Its really hard to say imo. Because we havent seen all these guys in action.
Its kinda funny, Moria talks about becoming pirate king, but i really think that if he were to go against someone like an emperor, even with Oz he would get embarrased totally.

In the end Luffy will be the strongest pirate because that's the way shonen mangas work. Is it not obvious and inevitable? That's just my opinion, though. :)

**Well .. many of you said Whitebeard and Blackbeard .. My guess is .. Blackbeard far away from being the Strongest pirate, he just can seal the devil fruit users. and he get hits like normal humans.
so there is top strongest ppl my opinion.

1- Yonkou .. Whitebeard , Shanks , Kaidou .. and the fourth Yonkou

2- Mihawk he's Strongest than Blackbeard for sure

I think Whitebeard has lost a lot of power over time, but is still the strongest. However he's still losing his strength, and Blackbeard's strength is increasing as he journeys towards the New World.

I don’t think Whitebeard has lost power. He is the strongest after all. But strength is not all in One Piece, the abilities are important, too.
My strongest List:
1. Whitebeard
2. Silvers, Kuma, Blackbeard, Aokiji and Mihawk (Here I am to unsure, so I list them on the same place)
3. Garp
4. Ace
For the rest I think there isn’t enough evidence to List them.

My “who will win” in one duel. Its not only strength, abilities are included:
1. Mihawk
2. Kuma (I think he is very good, but I would say that I here am unsure (special against Logia), too.)
3. Blackbeard
4. Aokiji
5. Whitebeard and Silvers
6. Ace
7. Garp

Has anyone else realized that there is a whole new set of potential characters in the revolutionary army? I mean the army can't just have one (Dragon) strong fighter. I still think Dragon is strogest though, probably ate the wind fruit and the dragon fruit at the same time =_=.

I'm hoping to see the rest of WB's division leaders.I can't wait to see Marco in the up coming war.I mean being the 1st division leader and out ranking a logia on 'The pirate closest to OP's ship/Rodger's rival' ship is something to be mighty damn proud of.
