What video game deserves the most, in your opinion, to become an animated series?
In my opinion at the moment, it would be Phoenix Wright.
Video Games to Anime
-
-
Metroid definitly. if it hasnt been a anime yet.
Rhapsody the Musical
Dynasty Warriors -
Guilty Gear. Guilty Gear. Guilty Gear.
-
Breath of fire?
FF7… need more FF7 anime ^^ not just that one movie.
Warcraft or Starcraft.
Diablo perhaps?
Monkey island! oh dear. Guybrush and the insult swordfighting would be so awesome!
-
Odin Sphere would make a pretty good show, although maybe only a thirteen episode one.
I think for the most part though video games should stay away from anime and vice versa.
-
If a shitty game can turn out to be an awesome anime, I'll take it.
Ex. Gungrave
-
Final Fantasy 8 or 6, but the random boss fights, (except for maybe Ultros or Biggs and Wedge) would be odd…
I think we need some Contra or Metal Slug up in this shit.
-
Duck Hunt. Because an anime where the main character's goal is to kill as many ducks as possible would be unendingly awesome.
-
Killer 7, an Oshii, Konaka, Kon, Sato production with collaboration from Suda 51.
So insane and psychological that your head would explode just by thinking about the concept.
-
Lack of Metal Gear Solid in this topic.
-
Guilty Gear. Guilty Gear. Guilty Gear.
That'll never happen; Daisuke has stated that he has no desire to create a Guilty Gear anime.
-
Final Fantasy Tactics
Monkey Island -
@Really:
Lack of Metal Gear Solid in this topic.
Maybe because the metal gear games are 60% Cutscenes.
-
Shadow of the Colossus would be a fucking great OVA.

That and Persona 3.
-
@Cyringohn:
Shadow of the Colossus would be a fucking great OVA.
I was just thinking of that.
I think Phoenix Wright would make an awesome anime myself. I've also always wanted Golden Sun to be animated, along with Tactics Ogre Gaiden and.
Hell.
Kingdom Hearts. Even after the abomination that was the manga.

MLB 07 The Show
Think about it

Irony of this topic in 3…2....1.....
@Anime:
Biohazard (Resident Evil) CG Anime Film Announced
CAPCOM and Sony Pictures Entertainment of Japan have announced on October 29 a joint project to produce Biohazard: Degeneration, a fully computer-animated film in the Biohazard horror franchise (known as Resident Evil in North America and Europe). Sony Pictures Entertainment of America has already produced live-action films based on the franchise. The computer-animated movie will be an original story. The videogame franchise established the survival horror subgenre of games and have sold 33 million copies worldwide. Each of the three live-action films have earned over 100 million dollars in worldwide box office receipts. Source: Moon PhaseOh, and I'm all for a Phoenix Wright anime too.
-
I always thought Soul Calibur and Guilty Gear would make for a good anime. I would love to see Guilty Gear more though. That and maybe Final Fantasy X.
-
I think God of War would make a pretty badass anime.
-
God Hand.
16 Yes m'am kablams.
-
So basically, a funny version of Hokuto no ken.
-
Slapstick comedy + Fist of the North Star.
How could it possibly go wrong?
Elvis was the best damn character in that game.
-
Rival Schools
I'dve said Disgaea, but that already happened and didn't turn out well
-
@Cap'n:

"Didn't turn out well" is a pretty big understatement.
That shit is so awful.
-
Ditto for Phoenix Wright. The manga series wasn't so bad either despite the meh artwork.
-
I think God of War would make a pretty badass anime.
I don't wanna hear Kratos speaking Japanese thanks :X
Second on Shadow of the Colossus
-
Fire Emblem, although I believe it had an OVA. Anyone want to confirm?

cave story
16 awesomes

I agree with the G. Saiban (Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice) series getting animated.
I'd also like to see the Bloody Roar games get an anime as well. One of these days someone needs to make a better AoF anime where in the end, Ryo beats the living fuck outa Mr. Karate, and after removing his mask he goes into a mental shock at the site of Mr. Karate actually being his dad.
-
Video Games that i eant to see in anime are
Kingdom Hearts series
Phoenix Wright series
Guilty Gear series
SNK vs Capcom Chaos
Samurai Shodown series
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum
Namco x Capcom
Star Gladiator
Rival Schools
Sengoku Basara
Another King of Fighters
and Super Smash Brother's Brawl -
what about a Super Smash game based off the new adventure mode or something?:sideways:
-
Seconding Killer 7 and Shadow of the Colossus OAV.
Wouldn't mind seeing another Nippon Ichi series get a chance, as long as they stayed far, far away from whoever did the Disgaea anime.
Also, Okami. I could see it working pretty well as an OAV too.
-
Sin and Punishment Movie anybody?
-
I have always said that God of War would make a great western cartoon. It would be like those clips for that… what was it's name, Heavenly Sword? Those were pretty cool.
Civilization. Just think about it. History meets Dragonball. Tag along a cheesy opening song by some Japanese pop group and it would be very definition of "epic win" or whatever.
-
Fire Emblem, although I believe it had an OVA. Anyone want to confirm?
It had two thirty minute episodes. I'd hardly call em' OVA's.
Give me some Sealed Sword based anime. (I enjoyed it more than any of the other games, mostly because Hugh and Fil were such kickass units)
-
Dynasty Warriors
Why hello there Romance of the Three Kingdoms anime. Since Dynasty Warriors is based on ROTK - that is the closest you will get to it. I am not sure if they made a second season - but they end the first series at the battle of Chang Ban (I think.) ROTK anime is pretty old but I enjoyed it rather heavily. Though, I heavily would enjoy a movie simply down by Koei or an updated anime.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms - Story
Golden Sun would probably be a eh anime - chances are.
Warcraft anime would be odd - read some of the 'manga' (lol) -
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, although I may just be saying that since I've been a slave to that game as of late.
-
Killer7 definetly.

Is that the one based on Yokoyama's manga? I've always wanted to watch that.
-
I like the Rival Schools idea and the SoTC OVA (although anime with that little talking would be kinda werid.
-
I want to see animes based off old games… Tetris, Pong...
-
It had two thirty minute episodes. I'd hardly call em' OVA's.
What do you think an OVA is?
-

Uh, that pretty much is an OVA, buddy. A short one, but it's not like the typical OVA spans for 10+ episodes or something.
-
Pheonix Wright, Bloody Roar, Sly Cooper, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Boktai, Burning Rangers, NiGHTS, and a good Sonic~ Sonic X was awful but that OVA from '95 wasn't too bad~
-
Gotta go with Phoenix Wright as well.
I am surprised Kingdom Hearts hasn't been adapted into an anime, mind I don't care for that to happen…just surprised.
-

I am not really sure. The anime doesn't seem to have a great backing of any sort. I am almost sure it was based more off the actual textual book than the manga. I recommend it for any Dynasty Warrior or Romance of the Three Kingdom fans.
Kingdom Hearts - I am kinda surprised it has become as popular as it did - let alone there being an anime for it. But since Maple Story got an anime - I will believe anything can be made into one.

If it's this one, then it's the one based on Yokoyama's manga:

Ahh, then you are right. I didn't really read into it too much since I barely had time to watch it, my apologies. Though, I do kinda wish Koei would make a version.
