Fox should just leave it alone they failed once and probably will fail again knowing Fox's record
DB films need to be DB like and not some weird thing (unless you call the movie something else then DB)

I m gonna watch this shit tomorrow and trying survived. What I need?
Did I say it was a "good movie?" No. I said "I liked it." Big difference. Hopefully, I'll be able to say both about the reboot.
So you like a shitty movie?
^ People like Evil Dead,The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Room & The X-Men films let Kaboom have DragonBall Evolution.

Goggles so you can scream "My Eyes the goggles they do nothing"
@Thousand:

DragonBall Evolution is not a "shitty" movie. Catwoman, Gigli, and Manos: The Hands of Fate are examples of "shitty" movies. DBE is better described as "mediocre."
Quit trying to provoke me.

Jesus Christ. I'm starting to get fed up with how people think a goddamned film company is a living entity.
Anyway, although I think the entire scenario is HIL-FUCKING-LARIOUS there simply is no further the series could fall.
Period.
They tried to make it into trivial bullshit and that failed MISERABLY. The WORST thing that could happen is it could turn into a Michael Bay explosion fest which, honestly, would that be a bad thing? I mean, it's fucking DB.
I just don't know how they can manage to sell this to Japan.
The US? Yes. No problem. As mentioned above, we've had reboots not only within MY LIFETIME but within the fucking decade.
But Japan?
People don't forget shit over here.
What are they gonna do?
"TEEHEE! SORRY! JUST KIDDING!!! NOW FOR REALS! LOL"
While I don't think selling the film is an issue regarding ticket sales since it's Japan and well…it's Japan...I think selling the idea of use of rights again, so soon and in a radically different way will turn some heads.
Why?
Because it basically acknowledges that DB failed. And...that doesn't go so smoothly over here.
There's going to have to be some serious cock-sucking going down to make this a reality.
DragonBall Evolution is not a "shitty" movie.
DB:E is a shitty movie. The kind of shitty movie that dangles out your asshole and won't drop in the shitter so you have to shake your ass just to get it out and when that doesn't work you have to take 5 sheets of toilet paper and grab the foul fecal fragment with your hands and rend it from your colon then throw it into the toilet and flush it down.
DB:E is a fucking terrible movie.
Anyone who denies it really, REALLY does not know shit about film. That includes dumb-fuck IGN reviewers.
I say that outside of being a former DBZ fanatic.

Fantastic!
I think somebody hacked Greg's account.
I just thought it was the kind of shit that gets smeared all over your ass and you have to dampen a wad of toilet paper to get rid of it.

You're right. I should edit my post.
That's the worst kind. Because you can never get it all off and it dries on your ass and itches all goddamn day.
Good call mate.
Wow. Harsh, Greg, harsh.
I didnt see the movie, thank god. But, i felt like i Absolutely Had to watch the Kamehameha since it was the only thing good to watch.
I just watched the scene…..
Not only did Justin Chatwin flat out RUIN the delivery of the attack he cant even say the word Kamehameha and make it sound fun or cool at all.
That scene was also the worst bit of Photoshop special effects i have ever seen. It didnt resemble anything of a Kamehameha wave, sure it was blue but it just looked like it was airbending or something. Overall Fuck this piece of shitstained fecel matter that glues itself to your ass and as Greg points out itching ever profusely.
I don't about you guys but I paid to see a bad movie and I got a bad movie. One of the best terrible movie experiences of my life. Man that was a good shit.

Yes it is now answer the goddamn question.
Okay I watched and some parts of me just died with it.
I was able to enjoy it, but not because it was a "good" movie. It's because I only paid 5 bucks to see it, I was with friends, and the theater was LITERALLY Empty, so we could make fun of it as Loudly and rudely as we wanted.
God the movie was terrible, it was so fun ragging on it the entire time though, so I was able to enjoy myself watching it.
Although, it did surprise me when Mai called him "Son Goku".
I always thought anything English Dragonball was always suppose to ignore the fact that he has a family name.
A reboot? Are you serious?!
This isn't something that Fox can just "reboot and try again," they need to give the fuck up, publicly apologize for making such a blatantly awful movie, and let someone else try it in about five years to a decade from now! Hopefully, this epic cinematic failure will teach a lesson to all who were involved in its creation. To be honest, I did find the movie to be enjoyable at some points, but it was still crap on a stick. I actually found Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li to be ten-times worse, but that's just me.
Besides, some of you probably know how much I hate LoCL by now.
The reboot thing is a HUGE mistake on Fox's part. I mean, who's really going to line up for a new-and-improved DB movie adaptation (regardless of how much better it turns out), with the smell of DB: Evolution still lingering in the nostrils of DB fans and moviegoers alike? That smell is only going to get worse, once the movie starts funking up DVD bargain bins around the country (Z-Edition…... that's a laugh)! That's why I say the DB movie franchise should be put on hold for several years and placed in more capable and caring hands.
I would like to see a half-decent DB movie, but I'm in no hurry to see a new attempt so damn soon.
We know nothing about what this reboot will be like, hell, it's not even a sure thing yet. But if it's done right this time around, what's the problem?
I think FOX may have realized that they had a very LARGE potential audience for a DB movie, but that they went about this totally the wrong way and failed to appeal to all but a tiny percentage of it (i.e. the few like me who just kinda rolled with it and enjoyed it for what it was). But if they get a better handle on the property this time, and put together a better story, with a better director, and so forth… We could end up with a really good product.
I know I may be coming across as sickeningly optimistic, as usual. But I'm glad that we're getting another chance for a Dragon Ball movie... a really good one this time, with any luck.
Fine, I'll give retarded 20th Century Fox another chance :getlost:
with the smell of DB: Evolution still lingering in the nostrils of DB fans and moviegoers alike?
I don't see how it's lingering in their nostrils and most of them didn't even go see it.
I don't see how it's lingering in their nostrils and most of them didn't even go see it.
My point is that DB: Evolution is crap on a stick, but releasing the DVD with that bullshit "Z-Edition" tag is pretty much another nasty reminder that this dirty piece of franchise abuse even exists.
EDIT And furthermore, the fact that it exists has no doubt put off many moviegoers to the idea of another live-action DB movie.
You're right. I should edit my post.

For the love of God man, I'm tryin' to eat some lemon marang here!!
:wassat:What the gay?
Yeah, I mentioned it already. Apparently, you didn't fully read my earlier post.
Z-Edition? Oh boy…
Chatwin is looking at the spine? Terrible cover.
Yeah, I think that image of him has confused everyone since we first saw it.
The cover is so god damned plain, too. It just feels like it should be a place holder cover, more than anything else.
Also, here's a terrifying thought. Justin Chatwin is holding his ball in one hand, and his staff in his other. He is also appearing to be shouting from doing some sort of activity there. Enjoy your mind rape.
That one japanese teaser poster of Chatwin standing in the desert (best thing to come out of this movie) would've made an awesome cover.
Hell, the R2 Blu-ray is using it and it stands out much better than that crap.
And so while the the Dragon Ball movie fails commercially from the country if was created from. And castigated around worldwide outside Japan. Toriyama's wallet becomes obese from the many money earned from pretending to approve of the film, and make vague comments.
Toriyama wins.
^^^
what an asshole eh?
lol
Parasaurolophus Goku wins. His funnyness surpasses Dr.Slump's turd jokes.
!

I'm pretty sure he even looked at the movie in disgusted surprise.
I don't know what is worse about the 'Z-Edition' cover.
-That ChatwinGoku is screaming at the spine of the DVD box (like Buuhan said).
-That ChatwinGoku has a dragonball positioned right in front of his family jewels.
Worst:
That ChatwinGoku is screaming while have a dragonball positioned right in front of his family jewels.
"GRANT ME MY WISH! URG! YEAH!"
Don't forget that he's also holding his staff in his other hand in the same position. 8D
I'm pretty sure he even looked at the movie in disgusted surprise.
I'm pretty sure he can't even remember enough of DB to know what's wrong.
Anyway, I don't understand all the hostility toward a reboot. Fox probably won't be using anybody that worked on the last movie and supposedly they learned their lesson from this film. So for now I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Yea, I like the idea of a reboot since I was expecting two more movies with the same horrible cast and crew. Since their plan of attracting the common moviegoer failed, maybe they will try to make it more accurate and actually listen to the fanbase this time around.

I'd be inclined to agree, but he did go back over Dragon Ball when doing the redrawn covers for the Kanzenban, as well as having made the story for the recent Dragon Ball special (which even Lunch appeared in, someone who Toriyama had originally forgotten about).
From his comments about what he saw of the movie, you could tell he was trying his best to not outright say he doesn't like it (going as far as to say that people could maybe enjoy it if they see it as some alternate universe).
Can they at least make good effects and not rip off airbending.
Worst.Kamehameha.Ever!

Can't polish a turd.
And the last thing you should do is listen to a fanbase in how to make a movie.
Dragon Ball has one fanbase? The series has a fuckton of different types of fans. Last I counted, there were more than 10 kinds of fans for the series.
I probably take a guess as to what some of the types are but…

Types of Fanbases I can think of.
-The ones that watch the Japanese and despise the English versions.
-The ones that follows the story from Sabans(Actually FUNimations original dub), to FUNimations dub.
-The ones that watch the FUNimation dub. The fanboys usually comment on English dubs, like AB Group, on how bad it is, when really their dub isn't good either.
-The ones that watch the Ocean dub. The fanboys are almost as bad as FUNimation fanboys, if not worse.
-The ones that like both FUNimation and Ocean dubs. Actually differs from the second one.
Thats all I can think of.

You forgot the ones that hate the Japanese version because Goku sounds like a Girl crowd.

I'll add in one.
-The ones that aren't even americans.
Because being caught between two foreign dubs as your only source is no fun at all.
Don't forget the ones who dispise the amine version o ther series, and think the manga version over the anime version.
(me)
Also don't forget people who perfered the the adventurous, comedic, first part of dragonball
Over the much more serious, action oriented second and final part of the series.(Me again)
Aha, found my old post about it: http://db.schuby.org/daizex/viewtopic.php?t=8567
I observed 22 different types of fanbases for Dragon Ball.
U.K. fans beware, I just checkout amazon and THIS is our DVD cover:
!
If you can't see well, the top says "Live Action Martial Arts Adventure. The Kids Martix!"
Plus, what's up with the 7th September date for the uk?!
…that is beyond hilarious.
