This is also reinforced when Shanks and Ace meet and Shanks says that he did not know Luffy had a brother since Luffy and Ace weren't brothers when Shanks was staying at Fuschia Village.

What about that first year?

I think they came to earth shared their wisdom with the people living there and sailed the sea until they found a new uncivilised spot to live on until they declared a war to bring the rest of the world under their control which lead to a huge destructive war. The winner ( Tenryūbito) destroyed everything related to them except of the poneglyph and the few remaining shandians fled to Jaya have had lost their technology and everythinng related to it.

Or its actually the moon? Come to think of it, the whole OP world looks like a submerged planet with tiny islands here & there. Maybe the Shandians somehow managed to bring all the water on planet earth to moon. And they nearly submerged the moon. And then they maybe fought a war with Tenryubitos for survivability and supremacy, who were the original inhabitants of moon. They lost everything in that war & their whole civilization got destroyed.

All that means is that when he started doing stuff worthy of attention he introduced himself as Portgas D. Ace and the name stuck.

This is something I've been wondering. Oda has managed to confuse me pretty bad about the timelines and events when it comes to Luffy's past.
I mean, he was living in Fuusha village when he meat Shanks, got the hat and the scar and was 7 years old that time. At some point Garp introduces him to Dadan and Ace, location unknown, but we do know that the mayor of Fuusha village knew Dadan as Luffy's (And Ace's?) caretaker.

We also know Luffy set off from Fuusha and that Ace had left 3 years earlier. So Ace was in Fuusha as well? But Shanks never knew about Ace. And when Luffy and Ace were introduced Luffy already had the hat and scar and all that.

So… someone got a clever explanation about how all this builds up as a whole rationally?

Maybe Dadan and Ace moved to Fuschia Village after Shanks left. We know Ace was actually born in South Blue. Maybe he was partly raised there as well.

-Shanks Leaves, even if he did encounter Ace while he was there, it would mean nothing, because by this time Luffy had not met Ace yet.

Garp returns to Fuschia Village and leaves Luffy with Dadan and Ace to continue his training. Shanks must not have known Ace lived on the island, and possibly didn't care if he didn't know he was Rogers son. Luffy has never seen Dadan, and Dadan had no idea who Luffy was, they are obviously living in the same villiage and/or island and had just have never seen each other, I think its as simple as that.

-Ace leaves the villiage

-Luffy leaves the village

-Ace meets shanks for the first time and Shanks finds out that this man Ace is related to Luffy.

I remember someone said Red Line was so high, it can reached the sky. And as far as I know Sky Island are always moving.

It makes sense considering Tenryūbito was so proud of their blood line. They see themselves higher than any other being and knowing there are others that 'resides higher' than them (Shandians/Skypieans came from Moon), that might trigger the war.

It also explained why they discriminate and degrading Fish people and Me-folk because the Fishman island was set down below the sea, right under them.

I'd imagine Garp to be aware of his biological grandson's existence before he was 7 years old.

The ship was busted due to the impact with the water after the fall. I know Jimbei said he scooped everybody up, but you never see Inazuma after you see him recovering on the boat…

Zoro didn't have an attraction to Kuina as more than a friend to our knowledge, knowing One Piece, not at all. Tashigi* reminds Zoro of Kuina, so I doubt he would become aroused.

Plus, a blush doesn't always mean a crush. Another VERY COMMON situation to blush is when you're embarrassed or feel uncomfortable.

That's more like Zoro, I'd imagine :) He hasn't shown any romantic interest in girls and I see him as a person who's not so sexual or generally interested, also due to his ambition.
I see Zoro being somewhat uncomfortable with the concept too.

And hell, I'd probably blush if someone started groping themselves beside me

i just got done reading the latest chapter and was pleasantly surprised to see the supernova's make a reappearance after so long. after reading i have a question. if they're all sailing to marineford to join the battle won't it be too late for them to do anything seeing as how many days it would take to get there. now i know the archipelago is close, but back in amazon lily, elder nyon said something about it taking almost a week i think to get there. anything over a day would be too long, seeing how everythings happening so fast. anyone got anything to retort?

The Archipelago is stupidly close to Marineford. Recall how quickly Kizaru got there when Luffy punched Charlos.

The distance from the very remote island of Amazon Lily is a meaningless comparison.

But can they reach Marineford in less than 1 and a half hour (or less seeing as that was the planned time for Ace's execution chapter 561 when I'm not wrong)?
Otherwise they would miss the fun part.
Besides they have ordinary pirate ships the marine on the other hand has fast battleships.

I don't think the battleships are that much faster, they just can cross the calm belt giving them useful shortcuts.

Oh and they can use the currents from the gates of justice for basically a special fast lane, but that won't work to far away or to close.

Well I haven't seen the post you're referring to, but ZKaiser and I both feel it IS cannon, I don't see why it wouldn't be, in fact it would be almost pointless if it weren't.
