@Private:
Orihime's voice in the dub is horrendous. I've never watched the Japanese version of the series, but God…
Really? I thought it was one of the best. The only voice I really have a problem with is Renji's, and even his isn't too bad.

I have a feeling you'd hate her sub voice as well.

Got this from a Bleach forums
LQ raw is up..

I don't know I didn't really have a problem with this raw. If Rukia killed him fine good for her, I am glad to see a strong female in Bleach. If she just wounded him enough for her to get away and it is a draw also fine. To be honest I can't think of anyone besides her that really deserve's to finish this guy off or really has the motivation to make it mean something.
did you guys watched ep 119? it's fillers right? i think i remember that baldy don't use bankai because kenpachi doesn't want people to know his fellows' real strength.

It's sort of both canon and filler. It's basically an expanded version of chapter 206.
About 268, I'll accept Rukia win for three reasons:
I loved episode 119. That is a great filler episode. Mmmmm Ikkaku filler Mmmmm I love it. I really just love squad eleven and I love seeing all of them interact. It was a great episode.
Well, now that I've seen the chapter itself, I guess I'm not sure if I like it or not. Arroniro seems done, and my guess is that Kubo just wanted to get rid of the guy. Whatever
And on another note, episode 119 was basically 70% filler, but I didn't mind so much. The way they had Ikkaku cut down Edorad at the end was pretty classy. At least next episode we see some more resurreccion.

My problem with it is it makes no sense. Rukia was out of her league from the beginning, and now the guy did his release which apparently has the reiatsu of like 99999999999999999 people, and stabs Rukia in the stomach.
Then she gives a crappy little speech about her boner for "Kaien-dono," stabs him in the head, and it's over? Whatever happened to "when two reiatsu clash, the damage it done to the weaker one"? (from the Kenpachi fight)
Yeah, I'm a bit confused about why Rukia managed to kill this guy, it seems like it would've made more sense for someone else who has a connection to Kaien to show up and kill him, Kuukaku or Ukitake maybe.
This chapter is just like how Orochimaru was "killed". Kubo had no idea how to end the fight in a way that made sense, so he just had Rukia burst his bubble, literally.
If there still wasn't Renji's fight, I'd stop reading after this fight. TERRIBLE way to end it. The 3rd dance was incredibly stupid, hell what was it actually? I just saw her stab the guy in the face with half a sword.
Kubo, dont fail with the rest of the arc.
The dance was simply her blade reforming wherever it would normally be if it were not broken. The broken Sode no Shirayuki was pointed directly at Aaroniro, and when she summoned the third dance, the rest of the blade formed… Right into Alulueri's head.
Also, I'm not completely sold on the fight being completely over yet, y'all. Remember that there's a second head in there too...
I don't recall Rukia's and the Gillian's reiatsu colliding Carter. I just thought she tried to defend herself and lost hope. Then this chapter came along, a flashback about yeah like you said, her affection towards him and her bitching about how she killed him, and she suddenl still has power. But, I don't think the Gillian is dead yet.
Well when someone attacks someone else the reiatsus collide. Like how Ichigo was unable to cut Kenpachi.
@SuNa:

Me neither. Maybe not because there's two heads, but I definitely think this isn't over. It ended with a thud, we got nothing out of Golonteria, and this character is too cool for Kubo to kill off for good right now. We'll see where this goes next week.
I dont think the fight is over either but she deserves to kill this guy as much as Shika deserved to kill Hidan.
Her sword formed while she was holding it near his head, that is a sad way to go out if that is the end. I think he will bounce back.
Yes, I believe the third dance made her sword grow again. Whether it's actual blade or ice I'm not sure.
I have doubts that the guy is dead, but it would be really nice if he were. Both for Rukia's reputation's sake and for the fact that I personally find him really disgusting and too much of a deus ex machina power.
Surely the third dance must do something else, because reforming the blade isn't terribly useful considering that zanpakuto don't break too terribly often. I rather hope he's dead, but I somehow doubt it.
Well, we can at least hope for an explanation on the third dance next chapter. If Kubo leaves in unexplained, then there is no denying 268's failure.
@Impel:
No, next chapter will be Rukia all like, "I'm gonna die.", but then she thinks about all her friends and gets her will back and uses one big cliché ice attack to kill Squidward.
I CALLED IT!
16 suck it's.
You do realize that it didnt reform the sword, but made the rest of the blade out of ice.
The 3rd dance obviously makes ice. She just used it to make the rest of her sword.
I don't believe it… I call fake! Obviously this chapter's a fake!

So, basically the point is to just make another sword. Worst dance ever.

She can make it a big sword, long sword, hell, a freakin ice whip can be made. NOT the worst dance evar.
Of the three, it's the worse. But yeah, I guess it could make an infinitly long sword, so it's okay.

Somehow reading that comment makes me think of the Ideon…well what I've read about it.
Oh, been keeping up with the dub...and why the heck do I like the side characters more than I like some of the mains? Its like the Soul Society has more personality than Ichigo's group. (outside Orihime)
Oh, and with Hanataro = Shinji (Ikari), it will make things a lot funnier in my head when Shinji (Hirako) shows up.
I can totally see dub Shinji having a 4Shame One Piece voice.

The dub voices haven't been that bad IMHO. But since I have little to no idea about who VAs what and who would be best for what (not to mention we're a ways off from Shinji), I can't tell you my front-runner.

Yuuuuuuuup, that's how it happens (though right now I strongly disagree about Orihime).

Probably because she becomes as depressed as everyone else once the Arrancar arc starts. But where I'm at (Soul Society), she's a breath of fresh air on team human.

Agreed. We've seen hardly anything to do with Kaien and I already prefer him to Rukia.
Hmm. I was somewhat hoping that maybe Kaien would take control and maybe join the group as one of the heroes, and thus disappointed that Rukia won the way she did (I was hoping she'd die). I'm also interested in the idea of someone using water to fight, and was hoping we'd see more named moves from the Kaien side of the character, and perhaps maybe even a bankai. I would have loved to see a water/trident based bankai. Oh well. Hope the next fight is better.

Eh, aside from her humorous bits, I always found her to be kind of a weak-willed Mary Sue.

Meh, basically here's how I see Bleach in terms of plot:
"Plot? What Plot? Its just a bunch of action scenes with weirdo characters vs. shonen archtypes!"
If it weren't for the action and the more comedic and character moments, there wouldn't be much to this series. Besides, I like Orihime so far: not too many cute, dizzy females ever become major battle characters. (if this was another series, Tatsuki would probably be on the team by this point..but Orihime has the Ichigo connection)
True, true. I've been thinking of re-reading Soul Society arc to see if I'll like any of the characters any better the second time through.
Good lord, I'm beggining to like this series. I went out comic shopping today to pick up Pokemon Adventures, Dragonball, One Piece 14, and (why not?) the 2nd volume of Bleach. I'm feeling pretty lucky because every comic I buy nowadays is just awesome, and Bleach 2nd is really growing on me.
Truth be told, it takes alot of patience to get into it. When I bought the first volume, everything moved too fast and it was just kind of boring. When I finished it, I actually thought to myself "How does this even deserve to be in the Shounen Trinity?". After buying the 2nd volume where things are finally being explained, I think I love this series long time.
Currently, I just read to the point where Ichigo get's the candy to force his soul out. And the dorky soul started acting really evil. WHAT WILL HAPPEN? I MUST READ ON GOD DAMMIT.
@Cap'n:

The last time I did that I really earned a new appreciation for Hinamori and Kyoraku.
New chapter seems pretty decent. It definately puts power levels into check.

! I knew Yammy was stronger then Arroniro. Arroniro is the posers of the espada.
! But now Renji has to beat ZA in some lame way… lets hope its better then Rukia's fight.
Well, Arroniro was the only gillian in the entire Espada lineup. It makes sense for Yammy not to think very highly of him. I'll be somewhat more satisfied if that spoiler turns out to be true, because
! Rukia didn't actually kill the Espada, but still managed to feel like she resolved her Kaien issues. It was a decent way for Kubo to handle it, especially if Arroniro really gets all "aw man, I can't believe I lost to Rukia…."
Well, even if Yammy didn't think that highly of him, he's still stronger than him. Yammy power is basically just brute force. Even useless shinigami like Komamura or Izuru could beat him
@Impel:

I guess his soul-sucking technique doesn't count? Come on, when you put it that way, just about every Arrancar can only use brute force before they don't use resurreccion. We'll see what Yammy can really do once he shows us his release.
Soul sucking is just his way of eating humans. And it's completely in-affective against people with reiatsu, so it's not for fighting. And Cero and Bala are still just brute force.
just about every Arrancar can only use brute force before they don't use resurreccion.
By brute force I don't mean just regular fighting, I mean like just using your massive strength and smashing stuff up. Ulquiorra used strong quick punches on Yammy, Chirrchiu used fast, hard to dodge yo-yos, and Dordonii had lots of well placed hard kicks.
The new sub is out over at the [DB] website.
Started getting into Bleach about three weeks ago I watched the anime up to the anime Bount arc. I read the first couple of volumes in the manga but then realized that the anime got through those in like 3-4 episodes in the beginning so I got lazy and watched episodes.
Anything to look forward to after Soul Society without giving too much away? Also where in the manga should I read to be right after they come back from Soul Society?
The anime is already into the canon post-soul society material, the new arc started at episode 110 and we're now at episode 120.
@ultimateclima:

I decided to catch up with the manga about a year ago, and started with chapter 180, which is about where the Soul Society ends.
Ulquiorra = 7th espada, Ichigo's gonna kill him. My theory!
