@Darkstorm:
This is the reason nothing has been done about how terrible the dimps games are.
"hey, this turd sandwich tastes just fine!"
I'm no hardcore Sonic fan who needs to defend a bad game to feel better. I didn't grow up with the classic games (or rather didn't care for the SEGA consoles as a kid), never cared about comics or voice actors and if SEGA delivers a ,turd sandwich', I'll definitely not just ignore it. From the very few 3D Sonic games I owned, I have no problems to admit that treasure hunting, bosses, etc. in Adventure 2 Battle were awful, Sonic Heroes was the very first game I've ever sold and made me not touch Shadow, Unleashed, etc. .
But Sonic Rush was just fine.
@Darkstorm:
Yes, I said that earlier. The physics were floaty and ruined the game. The level design was also terrible and encouraged you to speed into bottomless pits.
The original games also have spikes, pits (Mystic Cave…), etc. that you wouldn't forsee during your first playthrough.
But I'd exaggerate, if I'd say if I had serious problems with this in any Sonic game.:ninja:
Sonic Rush stages were not worse, just different. The game was rather a pseudo racing game, with minor platforming. Obviously, it was nothing like the old games, but fun for what it was and nowhere near as bad as some of the other games.
@Darkstorm:
It's a review aggregator. I was being sarcastic because toasty was placing such an emphasis on what other people think.
I never take MC/gamerankings too seriously. Many of my favorite games received average to bad reviews and often stuff like GTA4 is way too high, but it's still a vague indicator and no game that's so terrible and unplayable like you make Sonic Rush look like, would be received by ,gaming journalism' with 80+.
