He won't be a bear, there's already a bear. Also, if BB does become a Shichibukai, then he might go fight Wb and kill him/injure him greatly. This will give the government an upper hand over the Yonkou. Dragon, seeing that the WG is about to gain total control, goes into action taking full advantage of the WG and Yonkou fighting. That's what I'm putting for now. Just a thought.

but if blackbeard became a shichibukai, then if WB want to kill him he will surely have to fight the WG directly, so a lot of things are going to happen and i think dragon will manage to do something great for his Revolution.

BB was using an absorbtion move when Ace attacked him. You can't kill someone by absorbing a blow.

Agreed, not too mention before the battle Shanks is telling Whitebeard not to go after Blackbeard. He(shanks) claims that Blackbeard will be a factor in which causes the world to go out of control.

Wow, this is actually a legit theory. Of course, if anyone ever tries to pull it off, Oda will probably come up with some kind of BS survival excuse like being able to regurgitate it, or maybe stating that Logia users are immune to that effect and will only destroy the fruit instead of consume it. Whatever, most probably it won't happen, and Luffy will have to beat Blackbeard by punching his lights out. Didn't anyone else think "Oh, so Luffy can still fight him" when we learned that Blackbeard has essentially the only Logia that is affected by physical damage?

Well I just think that we have to know more about BB powers though
For instance we dont know if the stuff he sucks in gets absorbed or transported to another dimension. If its the latter then a second DF might not affect him because its not actually HIM that absorbs it. So far the only possible way we know of people gaining DF powers is eating the DF. However how items get DF abilities is still a mystery.
I dont think it would be something so simple though just because creating a blackhole near water would be a problem too. he would probaly end up sucking large amounts of seawater and well then he'd lose his powers too… So then he would be only fit to fight inland which would kinda really suck for him.

Yeah…except I'll bet that Blackbeard will be a physical monster as well. People are really underestimating BB's fruit now that it doesn't "protect" him from damage. I mean, Croc and Enel's did protect them and look how they turned out. In the long run that lack of protection may be a blessing for Blackbeard.
Also, who wants to bet that Blackbeard will become more powerful over the course of the series?

Blackbeard is a physical monster, the guy laughed of Ace's "Hiken" attack (this is an attack that destroyed several ships). Blackbeard having such great endurance fits perfect with his "Yami" fruit. Blackbeard is going to be a difficult opponent for anybody.^^^

Well; Shanks risked going aboard Whitebeard's ship, just to inform Whitebeard how powerful Blackbeard is becoming. Two Yonkou met over this matter… except one didn't really care. Also; Blackbeard seemed to be coping very well with Ace, and his physical strength was shown as one punch had Ace on his knees. He is one that may disturb the balance of the world, and has even been stated to be closing up on Whitebeard; aiming confidently for One Piece, which is no simple task. He also has one of the most dangerous ability known so far.
He's no push over.

As far as him being "weak" goes, well, that may be Quelch's perception of how strong he is. Compared to most people, he may be freakishly strong, but may not be as strong as people in his own family or he may just be convinced that he isn't that strong for whatever reason.

The second is certain while the first is incredibly likely.

Considering that he tossed Ace around like a rag doll with nothing more than his own physical strength and was on par with Shanks even before his Devil Fruit, that's a pretty safe assumption.
Everybody in the Blackbeard Crew is strong though; Burgess, Doc Q, and Van Augur were, at worst, mildly inconvenienced by a direct hit from Hiken.

I really don't think that Teach has that much higher to climb really; he's probably at least the second strongest character in the series already.
If nothing else, I don't think he openly goes around smashing towns and countries if he isn't fairly certain that he can deal with anything or anyone that he encounters, up to and including Whitebeard himself. Teach has to know that Newgate has a vendetta against him and might have hidden himself while mastering his Devil Fruit, but now he's not making the least attempt to hide his activities. Think about how much damage he put himself in by even coming anywhere near a town like Mocktown, which is full of pirates and might even had had someone there connected with Whitebeard.

I agree that Blackbeard will be a great opponent for anyone, but to be fair to Whitebeard we haven't even seen the guy's skills, let alone he still retains that title from matching Gold roger.

I mean, that claim can be taken in so many ways. Doflamingo (or his underlings) said the era of dreams is over. does that mean he is going to fight everybody in One Piece who has dreams? While your statement may be true that Blackbeard is going to try and fight Whitebeard it does not mean that he can really kill Whitebeard. To be fair we have not seen Whitebeard's might displayed as of yet.
