Yeah, Helmeppo was a joke. Smoker can handle ANY big timer in One piece, that is why you must include the MARINES.

shanks had that scar 10 years ago in fuuscha village and also in his flag that means he had the scar even before he created his crew but he didn't have it in roger's execution 22 (or is it 23?) years ago so that scars could be 20 years old

He basically said splitting the sky wouldn't hurt Blackbeard at all and Blackbeard beat ace very easily.

Now superstar if we go by what is said in the manga and data book, WB Shanks and Mihawk should be able to beat blackbeard in his current state.

But if we go by what we know is going to happen, blackbeard is definitely up there with wb shanks and mihawk. And I do agree blackbeard would take the sky splitting attack, maybe not shrug it off but it wouldn't cause much damage. Although I don't think he could take their best named attacks, he'd have to fight properly and dodge.

I think he'll keep his absorbing technique for logia's and just fight properly against other fighters.

Agreed OIP, Blackbeard has seen and fought Shanks power before. So, I am sure seeing that kind of power again would be no surprise to Blackbeard. Blackbeard was able to damage Shanks in their last fight which suggest that Blackbeard is on or possibly higher than Shanks.

From what we saw in his fight with Ace, Teach actually seems to enjoy pummeling his opponents with his bare hands. If so, then I think it's likely he would use his Logia ability fairly regularly in a fight to keep his opponent within arm's length like he did with Ace.

Even if he doesn't prefer to fight that way, I still expect him to use his Logia. Teach can be patient when he wants to be, but if he can end a fight quickly, then I'd expect him to do so.

That's quite logical, I was just thinking if he was fighting someone like Whitebeard, would he want to suck closer?

I mean I see that as a mistake because when BB sucks with blackhole he doesn't seem to be able to move. This would give any strong enemy a perfect opportunity to hit him, that's why I said logia's because once he sucks them it's over.

Although if you meant he'd be throwing things and destroying scenary while fighting, I agree since the enemy would have two things to worry about.

on the other hand BB and dragon are people not even the goverment has info on them so we can't estimate their power or if they could become the strongest out there or the final villains though i think WB and mihawk are and will be the no1 and no2 out there until the SH surpass them

i am talking for dragon cuz we saw that he was super strong in loguetown and that even smoker didn't try to arrest him while he did try to arrest ace and he is luffy's father

but IMO shanks is stronger than BB,or at least he is at his level but that is my opinion

Well, the scar wasn't so old enough to bother Shanks, so much that he had to go to Whitebeard and tell him about his scar which reflects Blackbeard's power. We really don't know who is stronger until we see Shanks in action.

now if BB can activate the DF whenever he likes and he chooses to fight non DF opponents without it then indeed his DF is superb but if it is constantly activated then i guess this could make the fight easier for people like shanks

My interpretation is that he isn't at WB's level yet, which means he isn't at Shanks level yet either. But as we know, he scarred Shanks, at least more then ten years ago. I think he didn't win that encounter with Shanks, but he proved to him he had an awful lot of potential which Shanks took notice of, its just like Mihawk + Zoro and Luffy + BB encounters with each other it almost seems.

You must also wonder, he defends Ace but Luffy is now on the GL. Shanks is happy, maybe Shanks see even more potential in Luffy then BB. He also seems content with Luffy's attempt at being PK then BB…

Anywho, I do believe that Mihawk will be defeated by Zoro before Luffy is declared Pirate King. Zoro will achieve will dream before Luffy, but Luffy will have a more important dream.

And I'm speculating that BB will kill WB, than Luffy will kill BB. Afterwards, Shanks will give Luffy a courtesy match before he is declared the PK.

He's saying he's capable of absorbing greater pain than normal (meaning more pain than normal people can take), not that the damage he receives becomes greater.
