I see Doflamingo as the first Strawhats' antagonist of the New World, much like Crocodile from the entrance of the GL to Alabasta. Though I think his role will be minor in length to that of the sandman.

I would like to see difference in level. I mean, when they entered the grandline they stood up against a shichibukai almost immediately. So I think that if the make it to the new world, their first foe should be one that is even higher then a shichibukai. I don't say they should be ready to defeat a yonkou or something crazy like that. Just that they should have a stronger opponent then even a shichibukai. Perhaps some kind of legend of a 400 000 000 bounty pirate that is very well known in the New World or something

I dont think that he'll run into a Yonkou immideatly. But maybe some of the almost Younko types that Crocodile talked about, the silver candidates. Since the Yonkous, and maybe also the other strong pirate crew own or protect island they will probably not face them directly, but if they make alot of trubbel on an island owned by a strong crew, or a Younko they will eventually have to fight them.

There should be a few. So far we havnt seen any really Strong bounty hunters… if you dont count the shichibukais. So that would be fun... The New World seems to be abit more uncontrolled, or controlled by pirates, while the Grandline seems to be more controlled by the WG. So there should absolutely be a big market for Bounty Hunters. But I can also see that alot of bounty hunters in that case acctualy work for other pirates or organisations, (like the Baroque Works did) to remove treaths.

i despier it literally, that the islands of the new world are seperated as "WB's territory", "shank's territiry" "Kaidou's territory" and "(insert name here)'s terrotory"
they're called emperiors becuase thry literally "govern" these island using their piracy method.
Naturally, islands under different juristrictions are subjected to different rule (shanks is laid back, WB is protective, and i suspect at least one Yonkou to be evil)
SO, the major foe luffy will encounter will be kaidou or unnamed Yonkou, who is evil
their mission will be to free thre island territory and put it under their own juristricition (or grant them freedom) which proves strawhat crew's strength
New World will be a stratic battle of territory (and this is why all Yonkou are considered rival to eachother)

With the Strawhats defeated by Kizaru, the WG will pronounce them dead and withdraw their bounties. When the group comes back together, all their bounties will be gone and Luffy will have nothing!

Where do you get that from? Everything we've seen thus far shows that there's no such thing as an ranking order among them. The reason why he talks big is because he's just such a character. And the statement that it is unthinkable for those guys (meaning the Shichibukai) to work together should practically prove that none would obey the other.

no, it does make sence that Donflago is the "leader" of Shichibuka, of course, i won't be entitiled to use the word "leader" becuase all the Shichibukai work on their own accord and is not subjected to any rule
however, Donflago has the highest former bounty, so it makes sence that he regard himself stronger/superior than all the other shinchigukai

Luffy's gonna have a arc-special upgrade just like the other arc, and its going to be the food that he is going to eat. It'll make him feel SUUPPERRRRRRRRRRRRR

Huh, when was it said that his bounty was the highest? I'd reserve such a statement until we know how high Mihawks is.

And even if his bounty would be highest it means nothing. Ok, he would consider himself supperior to the rest, but seeing how self centered the Shichibukai are I'd say that probably everybody considers him/herself superior from the rest. Or would you say that Boa Hancock considers herself inferior just because she has a bounty of 80 million? I'd find that tough to swallow with how her character has been portrayed so far.

Point is, there is no such thing as leadership among that group. They are not an organization like the Marine. They are seven different dudes with the exact same status.

The flamingo guy has the highiest bounty that Oda has revealed. It doesn't necessary mean that his bounty is higher that the rest shichibukai.

i don't remember any interaction between BB and Don. they've only been together at that feast.
i think that either they would resent each other because of there believes or that they think that the other one is weaker and so they laugh at them but not to challenge them because they think so lowly of each other.

Erm, when did he get along well with Teach. We only saw them recently sit together at one table which was the same table Moria, Kuma and Mihawk were sitting at. None of the Shichibukai interacted with another in that scene. They were all simply reacting to the paper (probably battle instructions) Do Flamingo was holding in his hand. There isn't any sort of interaction with Teach so far.

I think Luffy is gay. Before you start ripping on me for saying such thing in bad taste, yes. I am, in fact, dead serious. You look back and there were only two instances when Luffy appeared straight and both times were very brief and for comic relief (The Mr. 2 turning into Nami and showing 'anatomical correctness' in his ability and the Happiness Punch in the showers at the end of the same arc.) Now, he seems to bond well with guys more than he does girls as he seems to interact with them more in the series, especially Zoro, Usopp, Franky, and Brook. Anyway, Zoro is Luffy's first mate and Usopp is his best friend, so I neither really count as much. However, the more and more I look into it, other than the two times I mentioned. A good example is of when Luffy dropped in on Hancock, who was stark naked taking her bath. That being said, even the iron-willed Vice-Admiral Momonga would have succumbed to lust if he didn't stab his own hand.

Also, there have been countless other times when he was with Hancock where he should have at least looked like he had a SLIGHT interest in her. But alas, not only did he not show it, but he was immune to Hancock's attack.

Now that I have argued about Luffy not being straight, I'll argue about him being homosexual. First off, he is good friends with Mr. 2 and refers to him as 'Bon-chan'. My second and final point, because I may need to review the series again to get another point, Dumbledore was also gay and ne never displayed this. Well, in any of the books I read, anyway. This shows that Luffy could have a level of self-control by just being eccentric in general.

Anyway, this is just a theory, personally.

Now you see right here, maybe I am taking this too seriously but what makes you think this "theory" is important in any way? How will this impact the manga? You disregard the those two instances because they were comic relief and because it was brief? Is OP the manga where we journey to find out what a pirate's sexual orientation is or for One Piece? The way I see it Oda can make Luffy anything he wants. I can make up some "theory" where he's half black and a scientologist who was Jack The Ropper in a past life but they're just dumb and a waste of time.

Just my opinion….......

Luffy will fight Smoker after he first gets control over his haki and they'll be evenly matched. This will happen either soon after the SH make it into the New World or should the two happen to meet in the current saga.

I was re-reading some of the first chapters and there's something I came across that's been bugging me. It's the beginning of chapter 2, where Luffy is being sucked into the whirlpool. He seems doomed, his tiny boat is sucked in and crushed, and then, next scene, he pops out of a barrel. Luffy's explanation: "Looks like I survived somehow!"

Obviously, it's supposed to be absurd and for comic relief, but could there be a deeper mystery here? Did someone save him? Think about the only other time Luffy thought he was about to die, when he was in Rougetown on the execution platform. There he was saved by a "freak occurrence", too, causing Smoker to wonder if some force was willing him to live. Then, later in the chapter, Dragon shows up and blows away the Marines. Could Dragon have been helping out Luffy all along?

I wondered about that, too, but isn't that deep of a mystery :P - there is a barrel in his rowboat that he probably he hided in off-screen.

But even if that's the name of the pirate crew then I don't get the question. Because as the captain he obviously created the crew. I doubt that someone asks for something that obvious.

I also predict that Hancock will take down a large # of marine fodder, and then after the fight, when they need to leave Hancock asks to join the crew, Luffy accepts and Dragon asks Hancocks permision to have Revoultionary's guard Amazon lilly from the marines after her betrayel.

Being from Belgium where there are 3 national languages (even though the country is smaller then a flee on the world map) I had to learn them and then there is off course English and I took Spanish as my language of choice in college

Vous etes tres formidable, monsieur. Je parle anglais et francais (un peu et pas bien, je pense). Aussi, je voudrais apprendre japonais.

Anyway, I'm thinking Luffy will need to develop some moves that don't require direct physical contact (after bazookaing Magellan, his hands can't be good). To give an example, maybe something like Zoro's canon or Lucci's flying shigan, Bachi. Maybe cup his hand and use the rubber like a pressure canon (a la Kuma)?

Here is something I would like to see. . .
A person that was very strong died –> vegapunk gave him a zoan devil fruit to revive him --> the person can't go in human form otherwise he will die again --> He is mad at Chopper for having the human human fruit.
the person could go inactive (dead) like Funkfreed and has to be "turned on" by someone.
Allready having died, he might be immortal. . .
