Damn.

Basically, the theory is to include any significant grouping up to 22. 22 is henceforth the magic number, as it correlates to Roger's Death. Why 22? Why not 20 years or 25 years? Why 22?

Now, I'm not insane and think that Oda is some brilliant numerologist, but there has to be an underlying logic behind the numbers. If you can discover it, you've broken the code of One Piece.

Or maybe I've just gone insane.

Either way, what numbers can you guys come up with from the manga that eventually total 22? I've provided ones up to 12, but 10 isn't so great (there's probably a better one), and there's 9 others I can't solve.

Basically it states, if you look hard enough anywhere, you would always find a pattern. And that isn't hard considering there are 411 chapters of One Piece … so you are bound to find some numbers to support your claim.

Besides, I don't think that you'll find any form of patterns that Oda put out there in the sense of what you're looking for. Probably he likes playing with putting stuff like "The Four Emperors", "The Seven Military Seas" or "The Five Elder Stars" in just for the "beauty of something arranged within a certain number" and stuff like that, but I must say that I doubt any form of Masterplan when it comes to those numbers.

Anyways, I remember this guy who posted a thread for that number thing some time ago, but just because he discovered it. Although, some things you added are changeable, and some are bound to change, so I guess you should first try placing the 100% ones.

I like the theory, it might work. It's not such a shallow or complicated thing, and it's a base you can get ideas from while not going over other ideas [in many ways]. Oda might go with that.
Now we have all the BB thing going on and there are legends back [last time was Skypiea], so I'd buy it if we get stuff towards it in the next arc.
If not, we burned some time with it anyway.

This is interesting. Where'd you find this info from?

Exodus 14: 19-21 are three consecutive verses of the bible with 72 letters each. If you write them on top of each other, the first from right to left, the second from left to right, and the third from right to left, you get 72 columns of 3 letter names of god. The 72 names are divided into 4 columns of 18 names each. Each column represents a letter of the Tetragrammaton (YHWH). This is called the Schemhamphoras, or the true name of God.

Therefore, when it comes down to it I have come up with my own theory on numbers:

1. You've become obsessed with making up theories on One Piece, even if you youself believe them to be ridiculous only for the sake of creating theories.
2. You need to limit yourself and only make topics when something noteworthy is worth posting. You've 'guessed' some things right and now it's gone to your head, so you think you should post everything you come up with. I've been there, stop, breathe and think before you start a new topic.
3. Continue posting normally, minus theory topics.

Numbers are used as a representation of quantity, quality, sequence, or spatial/temporal location. Outside of being used to give these meanings, they are practically meaningless.

If we accept Ramsey's Theorem, then there must be some sort of structure or order inherent to One Piece. But to say that it is based strictly on numbers is far too limiting. There is an underlying order to the sequence in which plot devices are used. There is a structure to how the story is paced. There is a logical set (or sets) of events which must take place in order for other events to take place. All of these certainly exist. There may even be equations which would describe them all seperately. However, the liklihood of finding one unifying numerical sequence or formula that answers for all events past, present, or future within One Piece is about the same as finding a Unified Field Theory that answers for all Quantum Models. You're free to try, but this seems like a doomed pursuit that will only take time away from examining other details of the manga, which may in fact lead to the answer you are looking for.

I belive that FFA is OP crazy. I´ve read a bunch of threads in which he states his theories. In some I share his opinion, but in others I don´t, so I share my opinion. Note that I say "my opinion".

To tell you the truth, I read his theory and I think it is a bit crazy. But I can´t prove it wrong or right… so I decided to restrain myself from posting.

What I don´t like is when people tell eachother not to express themselves.
