Here's a little color picture I made with my characters. Main character is the little raccoon guy in the front, named Racoonay.
Who here is thinking of writing a manga series?
-
-
I've got a group of villains in mind that's inspired by the Baroque Works. But instead of numbers and holidays for the agents names, I'm using months for the females and zodiac symbols for the males.
-
RomanGod, that series looks kooky. If you ever write it, I look forward to reading it.
I'll write a couple synopsises or whatever for my manga. They contain spoilers…
! Part 1: Summer Sun
! Chelsey Aren always wanted nothing more than to daydream his way through high school, filling in the gaps with knowledge and come out with good grades. However, his calm, vacant nature and repeated hints at unbelievable theories and conspiracies leave even his classmates trying hard to take him seriously. Sure enough, when a hoard of students become violent and triads start to form within the school, Chelsey's theory that the new teacher, Mr Miroto, is behind it doesn't go down well, only his best friend Dante believes him. Miroto is too popular…
But then why is Miroto carrying around a bizarre crystal fragment under his shirt? And why is Jenni, a girl usually cheerful, always quiet and reserved around him? Chelsey and Dante are sure something is up, and must rally together an alliance to stop this threat, even rising to the top of the triads if they must...
! Part 2: Bittersweet (Contains SS spoilers)
! "I'm going home, Chelsey.
! Back to Britain...
! - M"
! It's been 5 years since Chelsey saved his hometown from Miroto's plot to turn the town into an energy harvesting ground. However, Chelsey, now 20 and living with his fiancee Karin in America as a wannabe writer, receives a bizarre email from an address he is convinced is from his nemesis. Karin is convinced it is spam from an anonymous fan, and tries to relax him with a shower. However, a distress call from Dante back in England forces him and Karin to get a black-market, one-way flight over there to sort out the whole mess. When he gets there, it's worse than he thought- Britain has been turned into a post-apocalyptic, energy-drained no-man's-land, with the government destroyed and the townsfolk living in fear of the enigmatic, bizarre Xarber Organization, a terrorist force rumoured to be behind the entire operation! His worst fears realised, Chelsey, Dante and Karin set out to reunite the Alliance from 5 years ago, but are stunned to discover from an encounter with Alliance engineer Pecci that The Alliance is either in hiding, dead or has joined the Xarber Organization, Pecci belonging to the latter! Chelsey gives chase and fights Pecci, only to have his arm savagely torn off by one of Pecci's hydraulic bear clamps! After reuniting with Alliance scientist Chris, he realises that technology has advanced to the point that the Earth's energy can be channelled into making weapons! Chris fits a cybernetic arm onto Chelsey and together, the four of them set out to prevent Miroto's dream of his personal utopia becoming a reality...So…um...how is it? Anything you want to know?
-
What kind of powers do these guys have? I'm guessing its just a realistic fiction type thing?
And why would'nt the guy in America know about Britain becomming an apocolyptic world?
I wish I could get some more opinions about my story, so I can improve some more on it.
-
Yeah, I'm working on one now. Got major characters and everything, I'm writing the "script" as a book for a writing class to get the hang pf how everybody talks and that kind of stuff. After I get out of school (next year) I'm gonna take a japanese class and an english class and then move to japan a few years later and try for a job at Shonen Jump.
This is one of the main character's concept art. I'm not showing the main character's, becasue it's so dated it's embarassing to look at. I don't draw the pictures, my friend Matt does. He's inspired by people like Hiromu Arakawa's art style.
I'll be posting story info and character bios in the future. If anything interests you, PM me with questions.
-
By the way, the reason my story got its name is after Jakobi gets Fanuke to join them, the group ends up with their very own train. Then, Fanuke suggests that they have a name for the group. After eveyone argues on what they'll be called, Jakobi comes up with the Paradise Dreamers.

Ahh, why thank you. Your series, basing it off from your discription, looks interesting as well.

I wish I could get some more opinions about my story, so I can improve some more on it.
Well, kind of realistic. An underlying theme in the story is the existence of magic. I'll go through the powers a little later, I'm at school right now.
And the mysterious thing about the situation in Britain is that all communication from Britain to America has suddenly been ceased, due to the breakdown of the energy system that has been developed. There were probably people who tried to contact America, but the Americans wouldn't help. Or something.
The synopsis were just that- synopsis. I'll go into detail about the characters a little later.
And I'll check out your manga now.

…Coming to a universe near you...
-
Hahaha, that's funny. A pretty cool character, too.
Rusashi, your manga seems alright but the powers seem a little cliched. The storyline's pretty solid, though.
-
I thought I'd go more in-depth about my characters' personalities, some of their back-stories and which characters I got them from.
Jakobi: Since he's lived in the same place all his 13 years, he's really curious about the rest of the world. He gets excited about just about anything. So, I think he's like a younger Luffy, just a tad less childish. Even though Jakobi is the youngest in the group, he can be really mature for his age.
Fumiya: Like a mix of Zoro and an emo-less Sasuke.
Kaori: She's 16, but tries to act like an adult. Her one weakness is money. Even though Kaori is inconsiderate at times, she's like a big sister to Jakobi.
?????? (The stupid swordswoman): She lives with her grand-dad, who's the founder and sensei of one of the largest dojos in the world. She's his top pupil. Despite her skills, she's gullible, and will believe anything she hears. She has two left feet, and doesn't follow anything. The best way to describe her is Schiesca (Fullmetal Alchemist)+ Dorry (Finding Nemo)
Fankue: The inventor, and strategist of the Paradise Dreamers. Fanuke is one of the more intelligent members of the group. But, he talks big, then runs from the slightest hint of danger. Fanuke is the owner of a workshop.
-
Here's a quick sketch I made with some of the other characters in my series (I still have more, though). Quick rundown…
Mouse-like-thing at the top: Bo (pronounced "Boh")
Hedgehog-thingy at the top: Hedgey
Raccoon-thingy in the middle-left: Shanaynay
Mongoose-thingy on the middle right: Monno
The one on the bottom: Dejanay
Ahh, yes. And to address the "nay" sufflix on some of the names. Well, in reality, the series revolves around spirits who take on animal forms. They're full names all have the "nay" part in their names. But they often get nicknames to shorten it. Not all the times though.
Why do they have "nay" though? Ahh... Telling you that would be telling you part of the story. I'll reveal the main jist of it later.
-
RomanGod can I suggest that you call your creation "SUGAR SUGAR SWEETNESS STORY?" Because not only is that 4 "s" in the title, but it just feels right.
-
Lol. I gotta admit, that'd be funny.
But, nah. While it may look extreamely cute right now (and I won't deny that it does), not everything in it is all suger and candy.
It's defenantly got the cute factor, no denying that. I'm big on having cute characters. But I got other stuff in it to balance it out.
Though, I'm not planing on making it some kind of "Rambo" type thingy.
-
I updated the main characters abit, which I think sound less cliche and abit more intresting. Let me know what you think.
! Kumo:
Powers over clouds.
In the beginning, Kumo can only make puffs of clouds
When he goes through training, he can "solidify" those clouds, and launch them [similar to Smoker, but with clouds]
Kumo later begins to intergrate storm clouds into his arsenal, and dubs his attacks "Dark Cloud"
Kumo also holds the End Life Cell inside of him, a device that allows him to utilize his powers to the max, shifting into an "Air-man", first demonstrated in the first chapter. This allows him to move faster and hit stronger, dubbed the Sonic Boom form before
! the group learns of the ELC. Only can use the ELC for 5 minutes at a time.
Kumo's signature moves include the Cloud Dragon, a giant dragon made of cloud forms, but exhausts Kumo after using it, and its Dark Cloud variation, the Black Dragon. While in Sonic Boom form, Kumo unleashes the Tenken, and he flies toward the
! enemy with cloud made wings, and unleashes a huge burst of energy, from both his fist, and the sonic boom following it.
! Abel:
Revamped his powers, would have to change alittle bit of chapter 1 for this.
Abel has a skin membrane made out of Lifeforce. This Lifeforce acts sort of like how Gaara's sand acts. It won't allow him to get hit.
However, the ultimate defense isn't much of an ultimate offense. Abel needs to stay concentrated during a fight, and cannot rage with emotion as he will lose control of his powers.
Abel's signature moves include the Turtle Shield, a large shield of lifeforce reflects the opponents force, the Turtle Defense Team, 9 turtles made of lifeforce that are used to attack [maybe turtles attacking is stupid, dunno lol.] and Summon:Turtle Guardian,
! Genbu, a similar attack to Kumo's, but the turtle is a defender, not used to attack. Gigantic turtle, the groups mode of transportation eventually.
Abel carries a giant shield on his back, and uses this as his primary weapon.
! Goro[previously named Senshiro]:
Home town: Kuro Village
Age: 32
! Goro has a supperority complex. Goro has trained his body to the limit, and believes no one can defeat him. But when he's defeated easily by Kumo and Abel, Goro's spirit is broke, as he vowed never to let anyone defeat him. Goro began wandering the
! Maygarc Deserts, which surrounded Kuro Village. Goro meets Kumo and his group again where he is recruited to head off with them to the Scorpio Fortress.
! Goro is basically a brawler, but he uses a unique type of martial arts. Goro uses a "One Fist style" where he stands with one arm behind his back. Goro bases his style on incredible speed and footwork. The One Fist style is an embodiment of Goro's
! arrogance. His right hand is sacred to him, as it was the last hand he held his wifes hand with before she died to Sky Country assasaination.
Eventually Goro is forced to use both hands, and becomes INSANELY powerful.
His signature are Ichiken Style: Strikes, all named after big cats, like the tiger. If you havent noticed I've been using the four chinese constelattions.
Goro's best move is the Ichiken Style: Baihu, where his fist takes the speed and power of the "White Tiger"
! Naera [formerly Naela]
Age: 17
Naela is a member of the magician society of Great Hyrus, the capital of the Earth Country. Naela specializes in Fire magic, but can use all the elements at will. She is part of the underground rebellion, wishing to take down the current evil Earth Country
! government. She co operates with Kumo, Goro and Abel when they arrive in the city looking for answers. She recognizes them as "The Devil Three" wanted for destroying the Scorpio Fortress.
Naera, is the Red Phoenix, as she specializes in fire magic.
Her greatest fire spell is the Reborn chant, where she calls forth fire demons. She has several named fire demons that specialize in different things. I plan on giving Abel and Naera a co-op fight eventually.
! I scrapped the ideas for Alycia and Jak, but eventually I think I'll add up to 3 more people to the main group. -
Does working in black and white, and in longform serial storytelling instantly gain something the title "manga"?:wassat:
-
Not… really. Doesn't manga just mean comic in Japanese?
EDIT: Anyways, OMG, character bio! http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/46415290/?qo=2&q=by%3Aromanmack&qh=boost%3Apopular+-in%3Ascraps
Yup. I'm proboally gonna make a few of these, so if anyone is interested in 'em, keep on checkin'.
-
Rusashi, those ideas are pretty interesting. Moving away from cliches now, it should make for a good read if you finally make it.
-
Right now, I'm working on how I'm going to end it. I want the end to somehow lead up to another manga I'm thinking about. I think the end is just going to be Michael (main char) fights the main villian/demon and Michael takes the power from everyone in the world and wins, but ends up using everyone's power up so no humans have powers anymore, but they saved the world, except the villian is still somewhat alive and "waits for the day that the light is so strong that it's shadow becomes overwhelming", which will lead into my other manga about the light of the stars, or something like that.

Some backstory about Afterlife, the final title of my manga.
-
Well, I'm currently doing a manga-ish comic. I guess it counts for something, considering it's mostly black and white, and one of my biggest artistic inspirations is the work of Kentarou Miura (the guy who does Berserk). I just started it, though, and even the website doesn't have an appropriate layout yet (just a basic one). A friend gave me webspace on his site, and he's currently helping me make a new layout.
Synopsis below…
! Set in 1559, the comic centers around Doren, an especially powerful Vampire who, long ago, tried (and failed) to take over the world. After his failure, he shacked himself up in an isolated castle, and began terrorizing the English countryside. The story begins with Doren being confronted by a Vampire hunter sent to kill him, which begins a chain of events that sets him back on his quest. On the way, he recruits (either by will or by force) particularly powerful individuals as followers, since you can't take over the world with a powerful army to do it with.
! Much of the story is based on my own fascination with actual history, as well as various legends, mythologies, and religious stories. Doren, for instance, is more based on mythological Vampires than the Anne Rice stuff (the black skin, for instance, comes from the belief that if the corpse's skin turns red, blue, or black, it shows they're a Vampire). Historical figures are also woven into the story (for instance, Vlad Tepes Dracula appears as one of the main antagonists, living on as the Vampire King), and many legends and mythological creatures from various cultures are also implimented (and altered to various degrees, primarily because I don't like to carbon copy anything). -
@Rai:
Uhh.. Should I be honest about it?
I think they're really really bad for such a story. No offence, but why don't you try more skeches and look at tutorials?
To be more specific, aside from the fact the right chin is always messed up, I think they look too much like Yu-Gi-Oh! chars. Too many adds on the face/no adds and a normal cool look for the main char.
Thats one tutorial I know is good: http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials/index.htmI disagree, what youv'e got is weird but original enough to win my heart.
Though top guys eyes are right off Luffy…And that link Rai? Ech. Tutorial for style = fail.

Well, that's for opinions. I didn't say I hate the overall ideas, but the details and such are not good for me. I gave the tutorial for those details.
That said, I didn't mean to give the tutorial to change his style =( , I gave it so the basic will be sharper. Actually, I don't like the style at that tutorial too, I'd prefer to change it as far as you can as long as you keep the single starting shape. It's good you reminded it though, I guess I wasn't giving enough for the reading people here to understand. -
Alternate version of Kumo, I like this one abit better.
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/6863/untitledok9.png
Take a look at my storyboard, I'll keep updating, hoping for some opinions.
-
Rusashi, your series is coming up pretty nice. Keep it up.
Anyways, thought I'd link another character bio of mines…
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/46418800/
Yeah… I gotta make the main character next time. XD

I liked it when his hair color was black [or somewhere close], but overall it's a better one.
Maybe you should start making a specified character sketch with details over the whole body now, if you have the ideas for the body you can change the head better when it's on it.
Anyways, no matter what you do, you gotta give him one of those cool belts once he gets clothes [he's in a lab right?], that's the type of series that keeps the character clothes all the time. -
Nice. Very explanitory. There's not really a backstory in mine, which is sad because I love One Piece for the backstories, but there is this one thing where one of the villians begins to resist the Intense (the evil orginization…thing) and so he goes back to his birthplace, Alaska, but everyone there still hates him because they don't see him as a human because of his powers and he gets chased out again and his associate comes and tells him to come back and he (at this point I'm just going to give names. Alaska guy: Jules associate guy: Alexander) tells Alexander that he's had it with the way the Intense deals with things, only to have Alexander reply that he knows and tells him about how he killed his adopted family and many others, on purpose, when he was just 12 years old. Alexander then quickly disables Jules and Jules asks if he's going to kill him and Alexander replys: "No. The Master has plans to deal with you." and Jules freaks out and space raps around him and sends him to the mysterious Master and Alexander goes back and then there's this other fight that goes on him him, but anyway, that's the only backstory I have right now. I'll probably add what happens next after a while.
-
Drawn in like 10 minutes, not the greatest thing ever… but a basic idea, since the beginning of my manga takes place in a barren, desert country, desert like clothing is what he wears. No fancy headgear or anything that sets him apart.
Just an idea/sketch basically. -
I love this thread. <3 There's something really raw and inspirational about making original characters.
-
I dunno if I could call some of my chatecters "original", exactly. I mean, I've made one basically Hiei and I've even got a Dracula whose based completely off of the original person, Vlad Dracul.
-
Dracula, actually. Dracule was his father (Dracule = "The Dragon". Dracula = "Son of the Dragon").
-
Oh, yeah. Thought I'd post this picture I made here as well…
Oii… That took forever to color. XD
-
Okay, I'm going to post everything I've written about my characters so far. This involves a brief backstory and their position in the main story, which is Part 2, Bittersweet. That part will pretty much be the pinnacle of the series as a whole, like part 3 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is considered the best.
! The Alliance
! Chelsey Aren
! Hero of Part 1 and the story in general, he returns to England after moving to America after Summer Sun. He is now 20 years old and engaged to Karin. His pure human form is shown only in the first chapter of Machina Nation, before he gets his arm torn off. Arm replaced with a mechanical one. However, when he recovers his arm courtesy of Pecci, it is stitched back on with the assistance of nanomachines and infused with a crystal shard. (More on Crystal Cores later)
He has an incredibly strong sense of right and wrong, and believes that killing solves nothing. However, he disobeys this at the end of Machina Nation, when he kills Beran for the safety of the world.
! Dante Walker
! Dante is the token “hidden past” character. When he was 5, his father, in what seemed like an unprovoked attack, attacked and killed his mother and brother, leading to him being raised by his sister for 11 years.
Fights using a large sword (think Devil May Cry), a katana and an imperial sword. First seen (In Bittersweet) with a group of rebels fighting a group of terrorists. The rebels are killed and a few of the terrorists, causing Dante to have to retreat and call Chelsey. Halfway through the series, Dante encounters Damon, his father, who has been enlisted into Xarber. After a short fight, Dante ends up being blasted off a tower. After narrowly surviving, he leaves the Alliance to pursue his father. He eventually comes back to the Alliance after another defeat but on a mission to the Last Sacred Village, his Dark side bursts out, resulting in the death of Li. This also allows Miroto and the Xarber Organization to take advantage of him, turning him into their puppet to use against the Alliance. Whilst working for Xarber, they fill Dante’s head with thoughts that Chelsey was using him to reach fame. Eventually he is defeated by Chelsey and brought. He also eventually defeats Damon while preventing a volcanic assault by Xarber on a village. However, as Damon falls beneath the surface of the lava, he promises it isn’t the end…
! Karin
! Chelsey’s girlfriend and fiancée. Chelsey met her online and managed to make the relationship work for 5 years, before they met and got engaged, ending in Chelsey moving to America.
She fights using a giant shuriken that she controls using a small device she can attach to her hand. She eventually gets two shurikens that she can combine and charge with energy. She is first seen in Machina Nation, but is referred to in Summer Sun. Not much development other than that at the moment.
! Chris
! He is the Alliance’s mechanic and fights using several huge mechs that take a lot of punishment. He uses a total of 4 mechs in Bittersweet.
He managed to create a mechanical arm for Chelsey and later stitched Chelsey’s arm back on, as well as hacking into the Xarber databases to uncover pieces of info on the Crystal Cores.
(More info coming)
! Shinri
! (More info coming)
! Marina
! Loosely based on Ino from Naruto, but other than that, no real comparisons. She enters the team after a fight with Karin. She can control water a short distance away from her using her power and can form it into shapes, such as dragons, beasts etc. New character, so not much development yet.
! Terrorist forces
! Units
! Roberto Pecci
! He was an Alliance member in Summer Sun, but defected to the terrorists in search of ultimate power. After Summer Sun, he joined the army but defected in anger after his platoon was destroyed by the terrorists. He is Italian and fights using machines guns, grenades and bear clamps on chains. With a bear clamp, he manages to tear off Chelsey’s arm in the 2nd chapter. Chelsey ends up fighting him again and severely cripples him in a fit of extreme rage, almost killing him in a giant bear clamp. Chris finds Pecci afterwards and confronts Chelsey, who tells Chris to take Pecci to a hospital, where Pecci remains until Part 4.
! Li
! Also a former Alliance member. He first shows up after Dante finishes his training with Sensei. He also shows up when the Alliance are defending the Last Sacred Haven. He then runs off to a bell tower near the coast, taunting Dante to follow him. The fight on top of the bell tower awakens Dante’s dark side, and he cuts Li down. Miroto then appears from the shadows and tempts Dante to the Terrorist forces. Dante then slashes Li with so much power, it sends him flying into the cogs of the tower, which then fall on him and crush him.
! Lux
! He is huge and exists by being held in a mech that prevents him growing any further. It also acts as a life-support system. The terrorists used him as a biological weapon and placed him under the command of Zeppelin. However, he was eventually defeated by the Alliance and executed by Zeppelin, who slices him in half and drops him into a molten metal pit. He is French and his attack names are in French.
! Eric
! Sent by the terrorists to a lab in order to create an ultimate weapon, but he ends up taking over the lab and building a gigantic cyber-ark, able to transform into a huge robot, which he intends to use to overthrow the terrorist empire. He wipes out the lab and almost destroys Chelsey and Chris, but ends up being terminated by Amy for his betrayal. The robot then falls to the ground and explodes due to the enormous amount of electrical energy used by Amy.
! Commanders
! Allen Woods (Zeppelin)
! Codename taken from Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin is one of the main terrorists, one of the commanders of the terrorist organization. His attack names have the prefix “Blue” in front of them, due to his mechanical torso that projects blue energy. He also carries a huge sword, which he can boost with energy. He has an enigmatic persona when he is carrying his Enigma guise, but as soon as the mask comes off, he becomes more of a gentleman. He eventually falls victim to Chelsey’s 100% Vapour Sphere, then tries to bury Chelsey in molten metal. Chelsey escapes by jumping on a girder that is being carried on a wire, but is thrown to the ground and almost killed by Zeppelin’s Blue Blade. Shinri, however, blasts Zeppelin with a sniper rifle, allowing Chelsey to escape. Chelsey manages to shatter Zeppelin’s armour, leading Zeppelin to take his own life out of respect for Chelsey’s abilities. He falls into the molten metal and is never again seen, although Chris finds his sword and makes it his own.
! Damon
! Name taken from Damon Albarn, he is Dante’s father and a master of the sword art Iaido. He murdered Dante’s family in a seemingly unprovoked attack. After he was caught, he was taken away and the government carried out genetic research on him. After the terrorist attack, he was released in a mission carried out by Blink and implanted with a memory-suppressing chip by Xaber. He is now a disciplined person who can sometimes slip back into his dark side for short intervals. He beats Dante twice, before being defeated. He falls into molten lava and is eventually found by the government in a severely crippled state.
! Amy aka. Reaper (Jenni Hudson)
! The terrorist “executioner”. By Xar’s command, she exterminates any lacklustre commanders using her “touch of death”. She seems to possess supernatural powers over life and death, but in fact she is only using high amounts of electricity and charging their energy into a certain part of her body, before releasing them all at once. Her true identity is Jenni; one of Chelsey’s old crushes. When Chelsey breaks up with Karin for a period, he frequently meets Jenni at certain locations to talk about the past. Xar knew these meetings were occurring, but allowed them to, as he respected Chelsey and Jenni and knew their meetings would not interfere with his plans. However, after Beran fuses with Xar, Xaber threatens Jenni with death if she spoke to Chelsey in this fashion again. After losing to Chris in a fight atop her tower, she is sentenced to death by Xaber. Miroto almost kills her, but Jenni refuses to be killed by either him or Revolver, and destroys a huge portion of the wall above her, leading to her being crushed to death by the rubble...or does it?
Her alias is taken from Amy Lee, of Evanescence.
! Blink (Real name unknown)
! Named after Blink 182. Blink is a marksman and an original member of Xar’s forces. He isn’t the smartest person in the world, and still believes Xaber to be Xar, even when the missions become more brutal than before. He fights using two pistols, a sniper rifle and a special revolver that he custom-built. Within the six barrels are bullets of a different nature: a flame bullet, an explosion bullet, an ice bullet, a healing bullet (Works with nanochips), a remote control bullet, a magnet bullet and a normal bullet. However, he doesn’t know which bullet is in which chamber and so has to play a game of Russian Roulette and depend on his own luck in order to succeed. This gun has claimed 180 victims and Karin and Marina were to be the 181st and 182nd. Blink managed to shoot Marina with the remote control bullet, but she survived the blast and managed to manipulate the water in the sewer to blast Blink out into the open. He then tried to heal himself, but ended up shooting himself in the head. He died crying and pitying his own naïveté, pining for Xaber’s downfall.
! Revolver (Oz Thompson)
! Named after Velvet Revolver, Revolver is an evil person who likes nothing more than the thrill of the hunt. His wolf like nature caused Xaber to upgrade him with implants that would pull his skin inside his body and replace it with robotic body parts, eventually leading to him taking on the figure of a wolf. This ability can only be activated if Revolver absorbs a large amount of moonlight. This leads to his feral instincts being awakened thus pumping a huge amount of adrenaline around his body, leading to the ability being activated. The ability has 3 levels, leading to Revolver becoming more and more wolf like and feral, eventually resulting in Revolver becoming some sort of giant mechanical wolf. He fights Shinri, Chris and Dante over the course of the series, but he is eventually defeated by Dante during the assault on Xaber’s HQ. After his defeat, Revolver attempts to kill Dante through trickery, but Miroto intervenes and kills him, impaling him through the stomach.
Revolver was on neutral terms with everyone in the terrorist forces except for Amy, whom he had a mutual hatred for. He was about to finish Amy off after she was condemned, but Amy, intent on not being killed by him, took her own life.Anything you need confirming? I'd like to know if I've missed anything.

I have a finished trilogy all written in a book. It is about a boy who becomes a cyborg and becomes an assasin. The plot is deeper. I guess I'll try to type it all to ms word. It's theme is basically mafia style.

Okay, once again I need help with my manga. Does anyone hear know Greek for "Masks"? Oh, and thanks for the Dracula thing.
-
I think its Μάσκες.

Since we're sharing details, here's some concept art, and the like!

Be sure and share your thoughts! C+C always welcome!

@DougyDougyGiro!*:
I think its Μάσκες.
Um, could someone romanze that?
-
Ew, why is this thread all the way on the second page. I'd love to hear other peoples ideas and progress!
-
Yeah, really. And Schmekie, really awesome drawings. I wish I could draw that well. Well, I wish I could draw period. That's the only thing holding me back, as you all know. So, is your manga like vampires or something (that 5th guy is a rip-off of Bui from YuYu Hakusho XD)? Oh, can could someone seriously romanze that Greek?

Hmmm… the wardrobes for those characters are well drawn, and I guess they probably reflect their character, but I don't like them much. Good artistic ability though, and I encourage you to keep going.
-
Much of the wardrobe is based on actual clothing from the time period the comic takes place in (i.e. the girl in picture 2 is wearing a feminine version of a male irish vest from the 1500's), or in established styles based on alignment (i.e. evil/unholy clothing and archetecture sports alot of spirals and swirls, hence the first character's outfit).
As for the theme of the comic, yes, Vampires are involved, as well as many other legendary creatures, and various gods and other beings from various religions. I've always been fascinated with myths, legends, religions, and history, so alot of that factors into my story. Check the spoiler tagged story summary on the last page for more details (or, visit my homepage, where the comic is).

Currently working on a oneshot of a sort of fairytale set sometime in fictional ancient china.
It'll have about 3 main characters, villain included.
One of main characters is named "xiao lu nu" or "deer girl"
!
-
OK megakazul, but you shouldn't steal people's awesome artwork for you own project! (Because you couldn't have drawn that. [Because it's too cool.])
-
Oh, ouch. Burn. You want some reindeer to go with that slay?

I love it. You have great character designs. Expecially for the female in pic 2. You are really a great artist. Can you post some more pics of characters? ^^
Do you have your strory line laid out yet?
-
I don't think I have any other character pics, outside my big notebook design sketches that're too big to scan on my scanner. The story is mapped out (see the previous page, first post, in spoiler tags), and the comic is already up and running. See the first link in my signature.

Nice. Very nice. I, once again, wish I could draw as well as you.
-
It's all in practice. Drawing's always been one of my greatest interests, and I've spent most of my time studying both American and Japanese comic art.
As for my art, if you want to see more of it, besides seeing the comic, check out my art gallery, or art topic here at AP.
EDIT: Since a picture was asked for, I thought I'd show this; I dug up a practice sketch of a later character.
Anastas, the Vampire pirate, a major enemy character (not so much a main antagonist, more like a guy who shows up and fucks things up for everyone when he does) who debuts in the first major story arc. Kinda wish the story called for him to debut sooner, but it wouldn't work otherwise. This is a fun character to write for.
The black eyes are due to the fact that he's an Energy Vampire (one who sucks life force, rather than blood, and can drain, and weaken, you to the point where your bodily functions collapse, your vital functions stop working, and you're crushed by your own weight. Not a pretty way to go). I decided to show that a Vampire's the Energy type with black eyes, and neon-colored irises (which glow when they feed).
This guy's gonna be fun. Him, and his crew, are some of my favorite characters I've come up with thus far.
-
Vampire Pirate. Nice. In my manga series, I'm sort of half-way into the vampire-style arc, and it's going swimming-ly. I've also mangaged to incorporate my own pregnant fetsihism into the story line.
