Nobody is disturbed by the fact that these bots are human inside ? They are like zombies made from living bodies !? I can't imagine Franky taking one for study, that would be disgusting.
Chapter 510 "Straw Hat Crew vs. Combat Weapon" Discussion

@123:
Besides, by kicking at the speed of light Kizaru also has to endure the pain on his legs when he kicks the pirates at the speed of light. While logia doesnt reduce the pain ill say that Kizaru has got to be a decent fighter without his DF. Besides he's a admiral im sure the marine HQ didnt let him be a admiral for nothing, especially if he got his DF from his superiors
You can't hurt light, because light doesn't feel pain.
Normally, this would hurt:
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/510/03/But it doesn't, because he's light.
-
I wonder if Blackbeard's DF could be Kizaru's weakness.
-
Also it's obvious Luffy used Gear 3rd to show off since both Kidd and Law were there. Not like it's out of character for Luffy to not want to be showed up by other captains telling him to "sit this one out."
Luffy doesn't show off. If he did, he'd have boasted about beating Moria and "God" and wouldn't have initially held back against Bellamy. Even if it was an issue of pride, he didn't need to use his ultimate attack against weaklings. Gatling Gun would have been just as effective.
-
Boy, you really don't know his character, do you? :/

There's a difference between showing off and being a braggart.
-

I think it would be. Darkness absorbs light better than anything else, no? Especially black holes that Blackbeard can create. It's just Kizaru, without his DF, is probably as quick as fuck anyway so Blackbeard would still have trouble. But Blackbeard's DF is best suited to be used against a Light logia.
-
@Fire Fist:
I hope you're joking about this one.
A little bit, yeah.

Oda's still waiting for that apology
-
Blackbeard is technically every Fruit users weakness.
-
Blackbeard is technically every Fruit users weakness.
Not really. If you are strong without your fruit then Marshall still wouldn't be able to do much to you. I'm sure if Blackbeard fought Lucci, Lucci wouldn't turn into shit because he doesn't have leopard powers.

BB is almost every Logia's weakness as they rely on their powers for invulneralbility.
-
BB is almost every Logia's weakness as they rely on their powers for invulnerability.
That seems to be true but we still don't know. All the logia user's so far have been strong without them except for Eneru. Ace could take a punch, Smoker's no pushover, Aokiji pwned the SH's before turning on his powers, Croc was taking a beating from Luffy and we still don't know about Kizaru.

Hmmmm..yeah.
i'm just thinking when BB touches people they lose their powere temporarily right? then what if Luffy was stretching and BB touched him, what would Luffy's body do?
-
And you're still ignoring words from Oda from a databook saying it's an illusion, which is confusing since he's using it on a bot or cyborg (They're making a big deal about the kumabots bleeding so I think it'll have some significance) and there is 9 slashes, but that could mean he just did 3 different attacks. Until you get more proof that it's real other then the 9 slashes, I'm going with the databook.
of course i'm ignoring oda because he put in a shitty move and is struggling to be consistent with it. to quell the illusion theory, ask yourself if any of zoro's other attacks manifest themselves? it's a bullshit attack, if oda were here, i'd tell him too. it's the worst attack i've seen in this entire manga. and why was it brought about? because oda felt it was too soon for zoro to be able to cut-steel with his other attacks and too soon for him to learn/conceive a new attack. it's the cheapest powerup we've seen all manga.

Cheaper than crow eating?

whoa are u serious
a bit harsh n im sure u haven't seen all mangas
especially compared with some of the cheap power ups in mangas like naruto and bleach
plus i don't see it as cheap its not been said to increase power but just as a visual illuision so its not even that much of a power up to begin with
-
I really like Asura, its a cool Move imho and i dont understand your deslike about this move sabret =/
And i really think the Swords are real, there are not for nothing 9 Slashes and the Attack is called somnething with 9 (sry, dont know the right name xD ).And sry for my very bad english >_<

When i said "all manga" i meant all 510 chapters of One Piece.
And Illusions can't cut people. Even Naruto obeys that law.

Then see it the way that he is as quick (faster than eyes) that it looks like an illusion and he can with his speed easily makes 9 hits in the same time.
-
This Asura debate is getting tiresome, it's just going around in circles!
Some people like the move, some don't.
-
BB power is not only about annihilating DF powers, it is also about absorbing anything around.
-

Magic sword blasts can't hurt people either. But Zoro does that too.

Well said… Quoted for truth.

Except since chapter 1 or so….
Kagebunshin anyone?
-
Except since chapter 1 or so….
Kagebunshin anyone?Comparing this to the "laws" of naruto is pointless.
People were able to conjure whole armies of flesh and blood fighters right from the start and the illusions put you in hospital for a week.
-

Kagebunshin anyone?
Kage Bunshin isn't an illusion!

I'm disappointed in your Kishido, i thought we were soul brothers :P
@Mad:
Magic sword blasts can't hurt people either. But Zoro does that too.
What magic sword blasts? Zoro does magic sword blasts?
-
What magic sword blasts? Zoro does magic sword blasts?
Yeah he does.
And sanji makes his legs really hot.
Some people have the power to knock people out with there aura.
Get over it.

No, but apparently they can learn and convey information back to the creator when desummoned. And absorb natural chakra and turn into frogs, and circulate chakra to create massive energy attacks.
And Zoro has manifested his aura in other attacks. Tatsumaki, yo? He even did it without swords in the Davy Back fight. Bleeding the Wolf and Lion's Song, too.
-

http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/484/09/
What exactly is Kuma deflecting there?
So Zoro's other aura/spirit/illusion stuff is okay, but not Asura?
-
I always thought it was just really sharp air…u know how it needs strong muscles to do the attack. Kinda like a fan but sharper because its a sword

When did he do Tourou Nagashi and Shishi Sonson without his swords? And how would the second one work?@barkadat3p:

Its weird but brookes chopper n Franky were completly ineffective against kuma
brooks atcually reminds be of Zoro when he could cut metal, will oda give brooks a lion song moment who knows
franky when got in a few punches but so did Chopper but the damage they caused… lets just say ussop did more than these two combined, what a way to make 2 middle tier fighters brookes n franky look weak but then again they have quite low bounties (yea i know bounties isn't representation of power) but low bounties normally mean weak person (excluding blackbeard)
honestly Zoro luffy n Sanji had the most effective moves
ussop n robin lucky but caused alot of damage
nami unsure but it seemed to work. -
When did he do Tourou Nagashi and Shishi Sonson without his swords?
No no, I should've rephrased that. I meant he used his aura for bleeding the wolf and Lion's Song, not that he didn't use his sword for them. The only move he did swordless was Tatsumaki… and some punching move in G-5 filler arc.

I see the Aura use in Shishi Sonson, but how does he use it in Tourou Nagashi? He just uses his instincts to dodge multiple attacks.(or at least thats how I see it:blink:)

What? Chopper and Franky hurt him bad.
thats not how i saw it
looked like they left marks but caused no real damage
but i guess u argree with the part about brooks -

Hmmm, yeah, I looked again, it probably was just instinct, but I swore there was a wolf howl sound effect when he did it.
But I did think of another one: Two Sword Bull charge. He projected the image of a bull when using that one.
-
I Never really liked the Novas and always thought they would be used as punching bags to show off some powers of the Big Names in the One Piece world. I guess the ones that make it off the Island and land on Fishmen island will be greeted by Jinbei.
-

I'd say Chopper and Franky "seemed" to do no damage since they left outer marks. Of course, how could you see them through the shirt?
-

-
Ussop, Nami, and Robin hurt him more because they caused internal damage.
-
Speaking of Chopper, didn't he use a rumble ball recently right after they saved Camei? It seems like enough time has passed for the effect to wear off, but not enough time to use another one without difficulty. Why is he able to go back into his rumble points so soon? Maybe he's been working on the problem off-panel after his fight with Kumadori.
-

I don't see how it can appear they did less damage because they left marks.
-
@Mad:
I don't see how it can appear they did less damage because they left marks.
That's completely off the point.
I believed that Neomaster reasoned that Chopper and Franky did little or no damage because they didn't leave marks.

Something about Kizaru just occurred to me.
He wears sunglasses.
Now, this could very easily mean nothing whatsoever. Just an aspect of his design, no more and no less. But this is a what if, so I'm going to assume otherwise. what if, rather than be a item Oda had him wear because his light-powers, he wears the glasses because of his light-powers? We've seen him use his powers to blind, so what if, without his sunglasses, Kizaru is equally vulnerable to his own powers?
Also, has anybody noticed the particular risk of what Vegapunk has done with the Pacifista? If Drake's comments last week are an indication, Vegapunk has essentially learned how to reverse-engineer Devil Fruit powers. Kizaru's, at least, if nobody else's. But the TB Kuma said the Pacifista were incomplete, so what if, as Vegapunk finishes them, he learns to add in aspects of other Devil Fruit powers? If so, vegapunk has the potential power to mix-and-match any DF power within his ability to duplicate. Not to mention the danger that, on top of all that, a Pacifista could still eat a Devil Fruit of its own, and get a full, proper, powerset to go along with everything else.
With time, the Pacifista could turn out to be a pretty frightening weapon.
-

not that again
-
shrug Why the facepalm? Is it a bad point? Am I extremely late in pointing it out? What?
-
The Kumabot's beam weapon isn't a reverse-engineered Devil fruit power. If it was they would shoot from their fingertips instead of having barrels installed in their arms. Vegapunk is just getting an equal effect by technological means. It may be inspired by DF powers but that's about all the connection there is.
-
That's what reverse-engineering is, though. Taking something that exists (in this case, the "beam" aspect of Kizaru's light-abilities, as identified by Drake), learning how it works, and recreating it through accessible means. And assuming he didn't work it out through some other means (unlikely, if Drake is correct), that's what Vegapunk has done.
-
That's what reverse-engineering is, though.
No it is not. He did not reproduce the DF's mechanism. He's using "physics" to power and focus the light whereas Kizaru's lasers are magic. Have I reverse-engineered AoKiji when I build a refrigerator?
