Well, many of the other shows have official streaming sources.
Am I the only that was laughing with One Piece beating Lost?
lost is the most confusing show in the worl ever wonder why its called lost its because no one can folow it nice to see one piece there
It's interestingly the only anime up there. Go One Piece!
I posted this on another message board that I go to. Lets just say some people were shock. xD. And one person even said What the **** is One Piece? xD
Should we be proud?
One Piece beating Lost is just as flabbergasting as the popular Lost losing to a largely ignored shounen in America. Honestly, I don't know whether to be shocked or proud :wassat:

Mind providing us screencaps? XD
We could be proud and disappointed…
On one hand, this proves that One Piece actually has a large fanbase.
On the other hand, this proves that One Piece fans are the biggest pirates on the internet (well, it's a series about pirates, so...).
LOL One Piece is actually more popular than all of those shows??? Omg this is extremely ironic isnt it. We have been complaining about how it isn't popular but it beat an insanley popular series like Lost. I wonder what normal american TV watchers would say about this??
I'm a bit confused of how I should feel. But go One Piece!
WHAHAHAHA
:D
I wonder if they go by subs, dubs, raws or what though? ^^;
Since IIRC, we (Instantz) released 2 episodes subbed in that week, which could be a part of the reason o_o,
I wonder what Greg will say….........
also-TAKE THAT NARUTARDS! (not even # 20,hahahahaha!)
I also find it suprising that naruto isn't on that list, Think this will shut up or envoke the narutards?
drop it at narutofarm and watch the wave of "THAT PIECE OF CRAP?"-isms lad by AkuOni.
I clicked on the author of that article and I saw that One Piece is #1 two weeks in a row.
It keeps getting better and better XD
Any word from Narutoforum? XD
I must see. If someone posts it there, link!

I did some searching and I found it here: One Piece Is The Most Downloaded Show on Earth
It's the awesomeness of One Piece. I can't be beat
This is nothing to brag about. You guys know your taking dollars from Oda like this?
There has to be some bs reasoning behind this…..
Someone at the Naruto forums said something that made some sense:
"A show about pirates would be the most pirated show".
It;s just interesting that it the most downloaded. I really thought some other series would win like, bleach or some shojo-ish type anime.
This is nothing to brag about. You guys know your taking dollars from Oda like this?
Well that makes us alike.
It's actually quite easy to puzzle out. It's the least accessible out of all the big anime titles out there. Naruto doesn't get as many downloads because it's on tv all the time, and DVD's are readily available.
Where as One Piece has been catching on mostly on the internet, and isn't easy to get in stores or on TV. That is, a version that people want to watch I suppose.
Also worth mentioning is probably the number of very devoted fansubbing groups that have been working on it for years now.
Wouldn't it be Toei and not Oda who's losing money?
Nothing Beats The ONE PIECE…...........woot
Stupid Cartoon Network, they don't know what they're losing by not having One Piece shown!
But, yay, our favorite series…is the most pirated...ironic.
Err, you guys are getting carried away. Do you know that most mainstream tv-shows, right now, are on a summer break ? Let wait for the fall and see then… Also One piece is not really televised globaly so using illegal ways to get it is the only option for some of us.
Guys!!! You're taking the fun out of it:sad:
This is nothing to brag about. You guys know your taking dollars from Oda like this?
If those downloads are for Episodes 1-13 or Movie 8, then yeah.
But otherwise, there's no legal way to obtain them, aside from importing. And I'd bet that 99.9% of those downloaders don't know a lick of Japanese. What's the problem with obtaining something through illegal means if it isn't legally available to you?
wow, i read all the posts at the naruto forum, and they're reacting extremely calmly about it i thought they would be freaking out about this, but they're actually agreeing, dang it narutards, you never give us a moment of satisfaction.
I don't think Naruto fans would cause the world to spiral into the sun if One Piece became more popular than Naruto now switch that around and you get an automatic Doomsday's Sanction.
Yep, pirates downloading pirates…somehow it makes sense but who cares since OP beat so many popular American shows.
i looked at it and its in the world and one piece is heaps more poular than naruto in japan
I did some searching and I found it here: One Piece Is The Most Downloaded Show on Earth
A post from there:
That is deceiving because One Piece isn't televised anywhere outside Japan so people have no other choice but to download it if they want to be able to see the newest episodes.
Change "newest" to "any" and that post is correct.
This is nothing to brag about. You guys know your taking dollars from Oda like this?
Well, it's really not our fault that most of us can't watch it on TV, or watch it by any other means. >__>
Wouldn't it be Toei and not Oda who's losing money?
Exactly, so why bring it up when no one complains about downloading scanlations each week?
Wow, this is surprising. I wonder if CN or someone will consider this a knock on the head, or if they'd see it as even worse.
Not unless they decide to air the uncut original dub of the show.

Cause your robbing Oda, mostly all of you fans here think Oda is a LIVING BUDDAH.
That there is a dream that will never come true and Oda is a Living Buddah lol
All Hail Oda!!!
How sad is this…^^^
Oda's not getting money since he gets paid based off on how many people buy manga and watch the anime on TV or DVD, not from downloads.
But Toei's getting the biggest loss, since the company makes the most money from animes.
I thought Oda was only getting paid for the rights to do stuff like the anime.
Like Toei paying Oda to publish more One Piece as an anime.

^This would be freaken obvious. I mean everyone should know you don't get money when people Pirate!
Although I'm not exactly sure how Oda gets paid, I do think he only gets paid for Toei to publish/distribute the anime. At least, that's a thought.
From my understanding, manga authors don't make much directly from the manga itself. The anime… they get next to nothing.

Being the original creator of the show, Oda is probably getting royalties from Toei for every episode and merchandise they create and sell. However, in regards to the downloads Toei and Oda is not losing any money because they are not getting any money from America to begin with. People here download the amateur subtitled versions because there is no way to buy them in the first place, ergo, Toei does not lose money because the merchandise does not exist for the consumer making it possible for them to gain money. The only people that could get in trouble are the ones uploading the original episodes onto the internet because they took an item a company makes direct profit from and give it to others for free; however, once it becomes subbed, it becomes a separate entity from the original because it is an English interpretation of it.
Now that Funimation has made a dubbed series that actually is bearable to watch, the fan base will probably buy them. I know I did.
Bearable? I find the FUNi dub even better than the original. Also, any royalties Oda is getting from Toei I can honestly say isn't "a lot".
