What is it that hits that primal button in your body that evokes pure fear?
Now, I'm personally afraid of bats but that's more of a creepy-crawly kind of thing. I don't like them because they can carry disease, are squirly and have nasty noses. But they're not what I'm AFRAID of.
What scares me more than anything are eyes in the dark.
Nothing, I mean NOTHING gets to the very core of my soul like the thought of a pair of beady white eyes eyes staring at me from the dark. I don't even have to see them. I just have to know they're there and it's enough to send me into an adrenaline-induced flight mode.
You know it's funny, I was just playing around on Wikipedia and I found the source of this fear. One word:
G'mork
Those of you who were about 2-5 years old in 1984 either know exactly what I'm talking about or can relate once your memory is jogged. I'm not going to post a YouTube link because I didn't last more than 2 seconds. I can't watch the scene let alone look at a still photo of it and I'm 25, that's some serious traumatization shyt right there.
