They refer to him as their dad in the episode "Members Only."

have they ever once referred to Prof. Utonium as their father?
Yeah they have. Several times. They do it the most in that episode with the Justice Friends.
@AWB:
Bubbles reffered to Utonium as dad in the movie.
But like others said, he's more of a father figure than an actual father. He is not the husband of the woman who birthed the girls nor a guardian who adopted them, he is the scientist who created them out of chemicals. Hence, why he is always reffered to as professor.
Plus he introduced himself to them as "Professor" so of course that's what they call him.
-
Technically, they've called Mojo Jojo their father more than Utonium, because he's the one who started it all. But they've called him dad a a couple times.
I dunno why, but I think my favorite episode is the one with the Boogy Man where they go to the giant disco ball and blow it up. Also, the one where they get those old, retired super-heroes to fight this old retired villain and they all end up just breaking their hip in the end. The "Beat-Alls" episode was a good one too. All the Beatles references were great.

The Christmas special is really good. I recommend you all see it.
I like how Santa is portraid a bit differently from tradition…

Called? They said it like once. And it was in a joking manner

That brings back memories.

Cartoons these days just don't seem to have the same humor that they did back then. I personally like to blame Spongebob. I mean, it's funny, but it was so absurdly popular… and it's humor wasn't based on charm or wit, but on random, visuals and crazy faces.
-
Someone not praising Spongebob? Pointing out something it did wrong?
THANK YOU!

I haven't posted in awhile because I've been busy on some CN projects one of which I can talk about now as we officially announced it at Comic Con.
2008 is the ten year anniversary of the Powerpuff Girls and to celebrate we're doing a brand new half hour special!! I wrote it and storyboarded it and it's being animated by the Foster's flash unit and it's looking really slick! Where was this program 10 years ago?
After all these years it was fun to go back to those characters. It's classic PPG, lots of silliness, lots of action, and hopefully lots of fun for the fans.

Yesterday was the Powerpuff Girls special and it was awesome
Free Puppies :D -
So… Mojo Jojo ended all wars, cured world hunger, provided limitless energy, saved the whales, and gave puppies to everyone.
Wow. Who would have guessed.

…And then he got bored. Classic.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty good. It maintained the spirit of the original series really well and it was nice to see all the villains again (minus the Rowdyruffs for... some odd reason. Probably because the girls never really managed to beat them without either resorting to trickery or distracting them something awful.) Dramatic Mojo at the beginning was fun, and I pretty much laughed out loud at the Mario Kart bit. Also, holy crap they actually showed Sara Bellum's face.
There were some minor problems. Specifically, all the dialogue seemed to be rushed, as if they were trying to cram as much as they could into the 22 minutes they had. Mojo talks like that all the time, but it seemed weird coming from the girls, the Professor, etc. Also, I kinda had to wonder why Mojo was suddenly acting with the best interests of mankind at heart when the movie featured him granting apes and monkeys super-intelligence for the specific purpose of enslaving humanity. But hey, that's just me nitpicking.
Overall, it was excellent. Was it the best episode ever? No. Was it better than the Pseudo-rock-concert finale the show actually got? Hell yeah.

Damn, I had to work so I missed it. For some reason I thought they were going to show this episode where the PPGs make a deal with this gnome or something to bring peace to Townsville, but he's evil or something. It was supposed to be the last episode but never aired. Or maybe that was just a myth (the premise does sound kinda silly :P)
-
No, that one exists. It's called "See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey." That's the Rock Concert-esque one I was talking about in my last post. It never got aired in the US, but I think it's on Youtube, if you can snag it fast enough.
That being said, it's kind of a lame episode. About the only good parts are the villain song at the beginning and Professor Utonium marching around with a bunch of sentient meat slices for no apparent reason. Pity the series was supposed to end on that note.

Funny story, I actually am watching it right now on Youtube. As you said, it is kinda lame though.
I'd very much like to see The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!! though.

Inconceivable! When was it? I must have missed that part. I'll be a bit upset if they really did, though. Miss Bellum's face is like Sanji's left eye: it's not supposed to be seen, so there's no sense hoping that you'll ever see it. Showing it after all this time may be momentarily satisfying, but it will sort of destroy the fond memories of the gag.
-
Her face, for like, half a second.
-
-
Oh sure, just put my youtube link to shame with an actual picture post that clearly displays the image in question without any sort of wait..
-
It's what I do .
-
I missed that part, CN started it before it the time so when I watched it on my DVR it started JUST before Dramatic Mojo ended. Did I miss much beyond Bellum's face?

You should have still gotten Bellum's face. It's in the scene where the girls are fighting over the key and everyone in Townsville gets disappointed. There's also a Mac and Bloo cameo in that scene.
-
Really? I don't recall at all…
BETTER SHOT!
I think that was the point, tho. This is "apparently" the final episode of PPG's. So they decided to show Bellum's face, but they don't hand it to you on a silver platter. It goes so quick most people don't even recall it. They also obscured it in disappointment with the expression. They didn't want to make a big deal about it, but we sure are.
