I remember dreaming about watching the part where Gato went into the bridge and was about to use his henchmen to kill everyone on the bridge then Zabuza screamed in the top of his lungs "OMG!!!!!!!!!!! why in the hell are you watchin filler episodes anyways? don't you know that you lose 20 IQ points whenever you watch a filler.
It's better than anything part 2 has come out with anime or manga wise at this point. The fillers don't seem as bad now.

From what I've seen, the fillers (so far) have variable qualities that go from really good (Bikochuu) to good but extremely strange and confusing (Fuuma) to "why the heck am I watching this" (Mizuki, Raiga). Maybe it isn't the highlight of anime writing but I guess I've been entertained more than any time during the Uchiha fight at least.

I hated the filler. The episodes right before shippuden are some of the worst quality episodes of Naruto. Shippuden is really freaking good comparatively and I adore the music. Plus, it's nice seeing some of these fights in action.

Probably depends on who you're asking. For mangaka like Ken Akamatsu, using digital work has allowed him to make world that probably are a tad too overwhelming to take all in. For Kishi…he just uses it to mostly create the equivalent of a coloring book.

Pretty much: a good chunk of the omake at the back of the Negima volumes are the processes he used on the computer to create these massive BGs he's been using in the series. Sometimes I wonder if Akamatsu spends too much with that stuff and not enough with what made the series good at some points.

Is it me, or has everyone felt series art style has turned to shit ?. I guess Kishimoto has stopped focusing on the quality of the art and now is leaning more towards story. I guess he cannot manage both art and story. What the hell happen to the details of his characters ?

No, that's not the case. Ken goes around the world once in a while (called "gathering resources") to take pictures and sketch backgrounds that he wants to use in his manga. He then does the thick penciling when he's back at home in Japan.
Most manga-ka who use "digital artwork" basically run up 3D models for their characters and then draw over that, though some also do backgrounds. Gantz an Mad Bull 34's authors are like this. Everyone else follows the more traditional method of just replicating a real place in drawn form, primarily because 3D art is something a lot of people aren't trained in.
Don't get me wrong, Akamatsu has always been a computer nerd, but he's not fluent with computerized artwork.

Back on topic: I was just reading over the "author comments" from this last Jump…and Kishimoto finally apologizes that recently Naruto hasn't been "a manga about ninjas". Personally I say he's probably a few years too late to realize that but its a start.

Really now, the only thing ninja-like about this manga was Zabuza and Haku, I mean they were silent, quick, and so freakin deadly. Haku even dressed like a girl to lure in his victims, which I couldn't appreciate at the time but really do admire it now.
I find it hilarious that Kishi killed off the only real ninjas in the whole manga, after them it was pretty much just really colorful characters going under the guise of ninjas.
Haku and Zabuza were Ninja Scroll worthy, while everyone else belongs in Ninja Cadets.

Was watching some Shippuden to catch up to where the anime is. And I have to slowly go through it, can't watch like more than 4-5 episodes in a row before just being pissed off.
Naruto has a decent story behind all the "as mentioned above" wizard fighting. Take the Naruto Orochimaru fight recently. I mean he was constantly puking himself out. Had a super long neck and sword that extended. Naruto was shooting kamehamehas out of his mouth, punching and making craters. How is this stuff any ninja like.
I loved the fights in early naruto when it was as stated Haku/Zakuza. They had their sneaking and hiding. Some of the ninjustu, but it was cool. Using strategy to fight ect. NOw it is just rediculous.
And you can't say it about ONE PIECE. Any wierd stuff is explained. The devil fruits take care of it. A person made of sand/lightning/fire/rubber ect. There at least is an explanation to it all. Or at least manga explanation, not at all real. But so many just random shit in Naruto. Explain how half the shit Orochimaru and some other ninja do. They explain the tree ninjutsu with water and earth, and other stuff is explained.
But the Orochimaru and the hand/mouth guy, and other thigns are just rediculous and are never explained. I mean remember back in early fights the whole long hand gestures they did to summon a water dragon ect. Um Miss April Fools did have a devil fruit (didn't you hear Vivi say all 0-5 agents have devil fruits.
The Wings will be explained later I'm sure, still part of the mystery and the void century ect.
Moria has just a wierd body, if you want to argue that. There are Giants (15 foot tall people ect.) That just part of the World. You don't bitch about Elfs and Dwarfs in fantasy books, because they are part of the world.
Pell is dead in my book, but whatever he got hurt and survived. Oda just didn't want to kill him.

I actually am more interested in the Naruto story right now than One Piece, but personally I would wish some guy would just come and explain everything that happens from now till the end of Naruto. I don't need to know about the fights because they just suck imo.

Um well Zoro wasn't a pirate, he went to a Dojo and all. So since he became a pirate should he drop all his skills and swords and pick up 1 cutlas.

Being able to stretch, a talking reindeer. A woman who can sprout arms and legs ect. A guy who can steal shadows, someone who can become invisible. And all other types we have seen

I think its mostly about concept. Kishi writes a series about ninjas but most of their stuff is not really that ninja. Oda writes a series about pirates…and he mostly keeps with the pirate concept.
As for all the stuff out there that can't be explained by Oda logic or Devil Fruits, there probably is a reason out there. For example, I imagine Miss Golden Week (or as the dub called her, "Miss April Fool") probably studied at the "Bob Ross School of Emotional Paints" and thus why she can change moods with just a stroke of a brush. (she is the only non-DF of the main agents anyway...well there is Mr. 4 but he had Lasso)

Well in that case if you want Luffy to be a modern, real-life pirate, he'd probably just go on the streets this weekend and sell bootleg DVDs of Iron Man for five bucks a pop. (originally I was imagining it as "cheap HK anime DVDs" but that's the mafia so that would more fit the Vongola than Luffy)

Basically One piece owns Naruto on all fronts, it's battles, it's characters, it's potential story (cos post-Akatsuki, what's gonna happen next? Danzo/Kabuto attmept to overthrow Hokage…..Weak.), and even where Naruto gets good marks for 'explaining' how Ukon can share Kiba's body, it's still a load of rubbish, people love One Piece cos it doesn't use pseudo-science, Oda knows he's writing fantasy so he needs not explain the deep false physics of the Shabondy Atmosphere, while Kishicunto lives in denial with his copy-cat brother attempting to fight for their right to talk scientific nonsense.
