Dance all you want.
As they said:
we're not Toonami
So why should we believe them? They look like a simple fansite and simply taking the toonzone news and twisting it.
sounds intresting..but well have to wait and see.
so according to them ,OP will be between June-Sept.
Well aleast it somewhat some good news. ^_^
I really hope its true. If so… YAAAAYYY!!!!!!!
I really hope its true so Gary Potter and the Naysayers can finally SHUT THE HELL UP!
Sorry, but that's about as reliable as someone on this board saying it.
I need some proof or a source, or I aint buyin it.
And what exactly will YOU do if it's wrong, eh?
One Piece is on hiatus. CN has aired all of the episodes that FUNimation has done so far. But don't worry; the series will return in the Summer with new episodes, so hang tight! "
What channel is Haitus on?
*sorry couldn't resist
Who are these people, and why do we care what they post about One Piece?
Oh, ok. Sorry about that.
ROFL. Well anyway, it would make sense but without a source it's hard to take seriously. I think the dvds are coming out really soon, so I could understand Funi halting tv production around the time the episode stopped in order to hammer out the first 13 episodes to make sure they would be done and edited in time for the first dvd release. Then after that they probably went back into the Skypiea stuff. Either way Sonny, Colleen and Sabet are gonna be working overtime on this series.
That's some great news, but like others have said in this thread I also do not think the info is reliable since it is from a fansite.
Yay?
16 Uncertainties.
Well, that makes sense I suppose.
Well I for one remain hopeful upon reading that news.
Well, I'm a BIT hopeful now. More than before anyway.
Don't see why, it's good to be hopeful…but you shouldn't be over this.
And what exactly will YOU do if it's wrong, eh?
I will probably never take news over the internet seriously. IF this is wrong. Then I might T.T
Wasn't this old news? Didn't someone at FUNi say like 2 weeks ago that it was on hiatus?
Yeah, but everyone took it with a grain of salt.
FUNi did say that, but they were also saying "we don't know wtf is going on".
Why does this thread even exist? Unless we here from Cartoon Network that it's coming back, then it's not coming back. This micro-analyzing shit is getting very annoying.
the DVDs are gonna be make me so happy, that if this turns out to be false, I won't care.
so I can invest a little hope in it for the sake of hoping.
I have no idea what's going on anymore.
The info sounds somewhat credible, but I'm gonna wait for more solid proof before I start celebrating.
Eh, not jumping the gun on this. Waiting to see this from another source.
This is exactly what CN told Toon Zone News.
@Yuugi's:
This is exactly what CN told Toon Zone News.
So CN did say it'll be back in the summer? That part I haven't heard from them, but if that's so, good enough for me!
No, they told us it was not coming back.
Looks like jumped to conclusions (didn't actually read the fine print). Oh well, you live you learn.
T.T Why. Why does CN have to torture us so…
Nvm what?
16 confused.
I asked where One Piece was mentioned in the article, but YBM was referring to when they said One Piece was not coming back.
Seriously, first they make a new Ben 10 series, and now THIS?
Cartoon Network… You fail miserably.
Wait…..so lemme get this straight.....
We've known for months that FUNimation will be doing OP.
We know that they're going to air the episodes.
We know they're going to release DVDs.
Now....Cartoon Network has taken OP off the air is that correct?
They've done so after FUNimation gave them a batch of episodes. One might even call it a season is that correct?
So then why, for the ever-loving Christ, are people fucking shitting their panties over this?
IT'S CALLED A SEASON! GROW THE FUCK UP!
Just sit tight and something will happen.
And guess what, if it doesn't,
THEN YOU CAN BUY THE GODDAMN DVDS YOU WERE GONNA BUY ANYWAY

Let me copy and paste something I posted in another thread concerning if it is canceled on CN.
@ME:
No one's saying that it would be the end, or at least I'm not, but this fandom would feel…. incomplete to me.
Think about it, even if you ignore the 4Kids butchering for this case, Funi gave us a wonderful dub even with a good share of edits. For some people, seeing their favorite anime on televesion in the language they speak is a big event. Take away the broadcast, even if the DVDs will still come out, and it's like you've taken away apart of the series, psychologically speaking.
That's the thing that will upset me about all this if it is truely canceled.
@Yuugi's:
Uh, no. I never liked Ben 10, and I never will.
But back on the subject, AWB does bring up a good point. However, a vast majority of dubed anime never make it to TV in the first place. Still though, all we can do is play the waiting game.

Then psychologically speaking there's something very wrong with anyone who thinks that way.
All viewing a Japanese cartoon on television allows you ANY fan to do is wave their cock around in other people's faces.
"You wanna make fun of me for watching this show!? Well it's on TV! BAM! And it's popular! BAM!"
Grow the fuck up.
When I watched Dragonball it was completely off US airwaves and it was on fansubs copied again and again and again on VHS that I had to go on a pilgrimage to NYC to get whenever I saved up enough money doing odd jobs.
I didn't need to watch it on TV.
I didn't need to JUSTIFY my fandom.
I liked the show because IT WAS GOOD, not because what other people thought of me or thought about the show.
Christ, everyone wants to be 'right' these days or justify their hobbies so they can feel accepted by society. Fuck society and fuck what they like. If you're not hurting anyone and if you're not hurting yourself, just enjoy whatever the fuck it is you like and stop worrying about what the rest of the world thinks.
OP is a wicked series and you can enjoy it with or without commercials on your TV which in the end, is the ONLY difference.
How come never did this in similar threads.

Wow, you're a bitter man today (and don't you say it's our fault, I can tell that's not true). Looks like we'll have to agree to disagree here.
Greg is 100% right, but I think we are more along the lines of WANTING OP on the air so we can see new episodes every week (they're starting DVD's with season 1, the TV dub was in Skypiea, so it's gonna be a while) and the fact that OP deserves to be on the air. I don't see much of this "trying to justify my fandom with it being on TV" around.
Personally I would like the televised One Piece to be successful because I want "One Piece to be successful". If it gets on TV, more people get to watch it, more people will buy it's manga version, and so on and so on.
It's not gonna make a difference to me, but the popularity of the show will rise.
I don't know how much (or any) gets back to the animators or even Oda himself, but I still hope that it'll have some sort of positive impact on the series.
I really could care less about "justifying" my taste in shows. But darnit, it sure was nice to be able to sit and watch One Piece in English with my boyfriend on his big screen TV instead of on a little computer screen. So as long as the DVDs still come out I'm happy. :)

Meh, it's not so deep for me.
For one thing, an anime is guaranteed to have more success if it is shown on one of the nations most popular TV Stations, as opposed to only being released on DVDs.
This means we're bound to get more merchandise, including more games, which is great for me.
Also, I'd like to see new episodes every week. Considering at the end of this year, we'll only be at Loguetown.
