I am the only person I know who does not think that Hibari is the coolest manga character since [insert someone cool from a manga that came about before April 2004].
They made him way too powerful, he acts way too cocky, hates everyone anyway, and tonfas suck. It's like punching for people who don't want to mess up their hands.

Go ahead and explain to me why a tonfa is so great. It's just your arm, but made out of wood or metal.
The only reason why it looks good on Hibari is because no one else he's fought with purely his tonfa have either not been that good, had another shitty weapon, or he just beat them as a plot device. And adding hooks or spikes to said tonfa is just dumb.

A tonfa is good IMHO because they aren't used that much in anime/manga. It shows that the author can think for herself and give somebody an interesting weapon.

Mukuro was pretty badass and he had a trident(another interesting weapon), and Tsuna beat him in the end, so Hibari didn't "plot device" him to death.
And adding hooks or spikes to said tonfa is just dumb.
Sometimes the simplest things are the most effective.

She helped the Straw Hats a lot in Jaya Arc, did some stuff in Skypea and tried to help Nami and Usopp in the Donut Race. Just so you know.
Yes, I didn't really like her because she was overrated. But during Thriller Bark Arc Oda proofed that she isn't the over-powered goddess with IQ of 900. So my respect for her character grew a bit. And what the hell is this comparison with Perona?

Never have I seen her act in such a way - even before she joined. Robin has always had this slightly playful air. Aloof, yes, since she wanted to keep her distance, but not with her chin pointing to the sky like some Uchiha and ignoring the going-ons of the crew.

Really? Vivi had some of the most character development, I thought.
People like Sanji, or even Luffy are the more static characters.Good acting and emotion. It made the scene moe realistic as she was loosing her mind. It was even better then Robin's:

Perona is a good character. She's my second favorite girl in One Piece.
Perona has a cool design and an original personality, which is key when creating good characters.Also on my hate list…
And "Shoot" from SD Gundam. All of the characters were wonderful, except him. It's a shame that he was a main character.
