They actually say one piece returns unharmed! But what do they mean by that. I do not really think they mean that 4kids did a horrible dub and harmed the series then FUNi came along a rescued it. If they do THATS AWESOME!

Man this episode was great. 5/5 stars for SURE! I hear "Monbran" I don't know why others hear Mombran but Im thinking they say Monbran…. which is how it should be said.
I love Cricket's voice. It's perfect! How does Funi always manage to pick the PERFECT actors? It's amazing! The gun edit was handled just fine. it wasn't like "Err WTF just happened?" or anything so it was just fine. I didn't have a problem with it. Bummer he didn't actually shoot at Ussop though XD
Bellamy's hilarious XD Funi really makes me appreciate him. And I just wanna give Sarquiss a hug because I know 4Kids would have messed him up so bad.
Great episode, I hope we see more like this from Funi. THis is the best episode since the first one I think.They even showed the monkey brothers fighting which, after last week, I wasn't sure if they'd keep. Never saw Cricket's cigarette though so if it was there, I missed it too. either way, brilliant. Funi just freaking ROCKS!

if I have to nitpick like a son of a bitch, I'd say that the "north blue region", "north blue country" stuff annoyed me a bit.
sounded like they think north blue is a single nation, or at least a piece of land, when it's an ocean.loved EVERYTHING else about the ep!

Yeah the parts where Nami and Luffy kept comparing Usopp to Noland was the best. Though Nami should have said that "and all he wanted was to become a brave warrior of the sea." before looking over at Usopp as she finished the story.

I just love Luffy's expression as he turns to look at Usopp after Noland says "He was a liar." It's just priceless. XD
I wonder if 4KIDS would have changed that. Hmm…

Here's a question out of nowhere- Does CN have a contact page? Well, more specifically Toonami.. I was going to see about emailing them to see if they could air the next episodes previews, at least. It's obvious they're the ones cutting them out for some reason or another, and it's something I'd like to see changed.

I would have to disagree. Noland shoots Sanji at point blank range and nothing happens? I don't understand why they would edit him dodging the shot. It just made the scene confusing.:wassat:

the only things edited was when cricket was firing at sanji during their fight and when he shot at ussop in the house.mont's cig was edited out like sanji's but it wasn't that bad.

Well, I loved it. It was positively splendid.
Usopp had me rofling when Shojo and Masira made their appearance in Cricket's door. That expression of utter D: and his little scream was hysterical.
All of the Straw hats are improving major. And Cricket was freaking awesome.
Shojo has gotten much better at acting, and the humor is STILL killing me XD
Loved Noland's story. It was better in English, in my opinion.

Seriously…how can people NOT see that this is one of 4kids reasonable edits. He obviously wasn't changed because he was black! He was changed because he was blackface! He was an offensive looking character who would have well..offended people. So they changed him to a white guy to cover it up. You guys rave about it like they made Mr.1 or Aokiji white or changed Tashigi to "Tish" or something because 4kids is OH SO RACIALIST!Obviously fucking up your favorite Japanese cartoon show makes them bigots and oh yeah, let's just assume they're baby beating rapist as well. Because any money hungry corp that fucks with my One Piece is automatically incapable of having ANY sense of morality.
Also, it's a children's comic from Japan.

Like giving a black character pitch black skin and lips half the size of his face. In Japan, it's not always understood that the image is offensive,but in America theyknow better so they changed it.
Since they didn't even alter Jynx for the longest time I don't see a problem with keeping that guy black since he only appears whenever Buggy does.

Blackface was a type of comedy that kinda "parodied" a black person's face. It could be considered offensive in this time of age, so 4Kids edited that one Buggy Pirate to have white skin because of it (cause he does look like he's parodying Blackface). There's also the whole Pokemon Jynx fiasco. So 4Kids was actually just trying to cover themselves so no one else would sue them.
And Jynx was altered, Aethos. She's purple now. I'm pretty sure that in itself was a reason for the skin change in the 4Kids dub of One Piece.
