Yeah, iirc he's put the the Mayor of Water 7's name down both as Iceburg and Iceberg, and Vivi's sand kingdom as Arabasta as well as Alabasta.
Though, I still find it amusing how many people keep writing "Ussop", which is a spelling I have never ever seen in anything official, handwritten or not.

RE: Volume 60 Prediction Thread
Well, there hardly seems to be a "scene" or anything for manga.
It's mostly just happy amateurs who figure they're doing the net a favor and don't really ponder the illegality of it all.
If tech geeks were the ones scanning and spreading manga they'd never get caught, but sadly that's just not the case.
I mean, if you're Japanese and really want a digital copy for your own use, you can just buy a yellowing copy of the volume in question for $1 and scan it yourself, without releasing it on the net and risking arrest. -

!
This pic (from the RED data book, which came out ~2 years after volume 14) is an example of things that makes me careful about accepting spellings before Oda has written them by hand… -
RE: Volume 60 Prediction Thread
HQ raws of volumes have been harder to come by due to crackdowns - the same reason americans these days scan the HQ jump raws.
A few days ago THIS happened to the neat dude who scanned and released volume 59 (and it was even kinda blurry! I hope that fact keeps him off death row.):
http://mdn.mainichi.jp/mdnnews/news/20101104p2a00m0na011000c.htmlI'd feel more ashamed about downloading raws if I didn't buy my volumes at double the price due to import costs - even though I'd rather my cash'd buy Oda's daughter a Mercedes than having it end up in the pockets of the shipping companies…

RE: OP Breaks 200 Million!
I'm not talking about per volume sales, I'm talking about the total volume of circulation.
If Oda stopped penning when Toriyama did, OP wouldn't have overcome DB's total volume sales.
True, but that's solely because Slam Dunk and Dragonball has had 15-16 years after their endings to sell more books.
When One Piece was at 39 volumes released, it had already sold more than DB had in 1995, when it ended at 42 volumes. (115,000,000 and 110,000,000 books, respectively)
Still, I'm absolutely not saying that One Piece was a larger phenomenon than Dragonball - DB's anime version was immensly popular, as was (and is) its merchandise - and as I mentioned, Weekly Jump had a lot more readers in the mid 90s, who might not have bothered to buy the collected volumes of DB and SD.
The truth: No manga has ever sold as many books at the same speed as One Piece.
And I'm not trying to make a point about it being superior to anything - I love DB and SD. I also love Jojo, which is just a cult hit, and has pretty crappy sales compared to a lot of other jump series - even after having released 100 volumes.
And my source is this, for whoever's wondering:

RE: OP Breaks 200 Million!
It's impressive but considering OP's length, it was pretty much inevitable. As massive a presence OP has today, it didn't have the pandemonium-inspiring power of titles like DB and SD.
Consider that Bleach will eventually reach this mark took, if Kubo spends another 15 years drawing it. Meaning more volumes will be sold than DB.
:meh:
One Piece had after the release of its 32nd volume sold 950,000 books.
Dragonball had after its 33rd volume sold 930,000 books.
With this you'll have to take into consideration that Weekly Jump sold about three times as many copies at the time, so overall DB probably had more readers than One Piece does.Bleach, that's from the present generation as well, had after 34 volumes sold 500,000 copies.
Largest first print of a One Piece volume is the latest, 60, at 3,4 million copies.
DB's record was volume 35, that had an initial print of 2,2 million.
Bleach's highest initial print was 1,3 million for volume 25, after which it started to decline. It will never even come close to being a contender.
Nor will Naruto.Nana was at one time, but seems to have lost its chance.

RE: Fourth Round Discussion Thread
Usopp's my all time favorite in the entire series (and has been so since long before Sogeking in mid-2005, to all you bandwagoners!), but Robin's my third favorite straw hat, so I wouldn't have been too upset if she won. I actually counted on it.
And hell, I like pretty much everyone still in the tournament, and I'm very much content with him having got this far, so I shan't sob even if he gets beat by 80% or so. -
RE: Norland vs Gin
I love Gin.
But Norland is one of my absolute favorite characters in the entire series, so… -
RE: Jewelry Bonney vs Richie
I actually like both about the same (and quite so!), but there's no question that Bonney'll take it, so pity vote for R.
