One Piece: Gear Spirit (DS)

I'd like it as well.
Friend has an HD loader, so I want him to confirm some things for me.(Wifi and real time supers mainly)
-
i found an news commercial trailer on youtube ^^
its the 3rd. btw. the official website are updated!
vitist the german onepiece-fan site… www.onepiece-rulez.de there can downloading the trailer in higher quality!
-
That commercial is almost identical to the second one, except that it shows one of Brook's specials briefly. Also, I think the second voice (aside from Luffy's) is Brook, because of how much Luffy is laughing at a seemingly-random comment that he made.
-
No, it's still Ace.
-
!
Here's another new scan with some pictures of Brooke among other things.
-
it is now confirmed that Brooke is susceptible to punches
-
That, and lucci has his Jacket and hat as an alt.
-
whoot, the game is out ! playing right now weeee
-
The game is pretty cool. Still need to figure out how the card system works. Otherwise the characters' attacks are kinda bland.
The "story" mode is kinda too short IMO though.
-
Mine won't be shipping till October since I ordered it with my PoP Luffy figure, but someone Who Already got theirs Tell me, Does the Play-asia One Come with the DS Pouch? Because I know the JSS Preorder thing they gave didn't Actually come with it, you had to buy it seperate, but my Naruto 4 DID some with the Pakkun Controller Case, so I'm Slightly Confused
-
With the exception of Brooke is there any other Thriller Park stuff in the game? Also how many of the characters have to be unlocked?

The ones that aren't part of the crew.

How does it compare to something like Rush/Grand battle 2? Better or worse? Is it fun? Worth getting? Real time supers?

I still don't know what people mean by "Real Time Supers…"

It's when your opponent actually has a chance to dodge the freakin super instead of getting instant damage after a cut scene….
-
Is Brook's voice in the game? If so, where can I find a clip?
-
@Kaimei-Karasuhebi:
It's when your opponent actually has a chance to dodge the freakin super instead of getting instant damage after a cut scene….
Well, when you activate your "super" card, it only lasts for a few seconds. In those few, you have to hit someone by pressing X, or it'll go away. But if they get hit, there's a short cutscene and you can't escape.
-
so….. Does Anyone know anything about that Preorder Pouch?
-

Then it's like the grand battles where you had to hit him with some atack like Gomu-Gomu-No-Scythe to unlock the complete techs like Storm….
-
I've been playing this game for a while now, and the only ones I've yet to unlock is Shanks, Mihawk, Blackbeard and Brooke. If anyone has been able to unlock these characters, can you please tell me how. The only story modes I've yet to finish is Vivi's, Nami's, Chopper's and Robin's, and I have a feeling finishing those won't net me Brooke.
-
well it depends, when you finish all the story modes, you unlock brook, well that how i got him if i remember right. SO you might unlock some characters when you clear all the story modes.
-

I just know that NCSX (where I ordered mine from) said their provider forgot to send them with the game and they will be sending them out next week. Dunno about play-asia, though from past experience it is usually the same.
-
How the hell do you unlock Brooke ?
I finished the story mode with every other character…
-
Yeah, same here. I finished all the story modes yet Brooke still ain't there.
Note on the game though, the moves are quite repetitive. Also, many of them share air attacks animations, and the attack that initiates the special move is, to what I can see, the same with all characters. A bit disappointed here, however I must say it's nice to play as Blackbeard.
EDIT: I now know how to change costumes, as well as the decks the characters use! In the character selection screen, there are two buttons underneath the portrait of the character currently selected. The first one is for the costumes, and the second one is for the deck.

Maybe you can find things you don't know here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentopic.php?board=939480

I actually have three questions.
What are the playable stages,is Sogeking in it and what are the multiplayer options?
Single, or Multi card?
-
Is this game worth importing? I really want it.
Anyway, which character is the most playable?
-
Knowing Grand Battle, you probably have to play again with every character and replay Smoker's story on the hardest setting. :p

Stages are:
-Loguetown
-Arabasta Ruins
-Sea Train
-Thousand Sunny
-Enies Lobby
-That other part of Enies Lobby, where Luffy and Lucchi fought
-That one westernish town where Ace vs. Blackbeard wasSogeking is an alternate costume for Usopp, except it's just the mask.
Single and Multi-card.

Thanks dude, you're awesome, now I just gotta play the waiting game.
Oh, and by Sea Train, do you mean Rocket Man or Puffing Tom?

Well, it's Rocketman attached to the front of Puffing Tom.
-
Gameplay video. Stage looks huge, but kinda repetitive attacks. Still looks nice.
-
well i got to play the game last night on my ds and it's pretty good only problem is i see no us or uk release date hence can't understand japanese at all :( just randomly play :p
-
OMG! I want it. Awesome video. As long as it's better then the GBA game, I'll be happy. I expected less cause it's a handheld game. So is it at least better then the GBA game the US got? I enjoyed that game and if this is better, then it's worth getting in my book.
-
Yeah….. think I'll sit this one out.
-
Hate to say it, but from the GP vid, this game looks like ass (as I somehow predicted just by looking at the first screenshots). DO NOT WANT

Wow, you sure are over-reacting to people having standards. And also stereotyping, I guess?
Ah well, this is the internet, after all.

To get the last cards, you need to get max bounties with all the characters. Also, it seems like Brook is unlocked when you get all the cards.
By the way, there´s a special attack that I don´t know how to do. I´ll put the example with Ener:
- X: Stick attack
- Y->X: Thunder energy field
- Y->Up+X: Thunder up
- Y->Down+X: God´s Judgement
- ¿?: El Thor
I´ve seen COM characters do it, and it isn´t a special…Anyone knows?

Which GBA game do you mean? Hope you don't mean Dragon Dream. As that game is fricken awesome.
-
The GBA game exclusive to the U.S., where you only played as Luffy and it went up to Loguetown.
-
That was a pretty good game, I thought.

The game was decent and fun to play, but yeah.
-
Yes, the America GBA game. I enjoyed that game a lot but looking at it now, it could've been a lot better. What I want to know is if Gear Spirit as at least as good, or even better, then that game was. If it is at least as good, I want it.
-
I watched a bit of Gear Spirit. It looks pretty fun, but I could easily see myself putting this game down after a week or two due to repitition.
